Khaolak Merlin Resort

Beatiful resort, even more beautiful gardens. Very green, lots of exotic plants and animals. Do try the organised evening walk through the park with Auoi (the extremely talented and friendly lady that guides you, sorry if I misspelled her name: What a whopper!).

Overall extremely friendly staff and extremely pleasant stay!

By far the nicest place we've been to. Next year we will be there again. We had a pool access room and it was gorgeous.

What you imagine a paradise, that is Merlin Beach resort. The resort is built in nature. So you imagine yourself in the tropics. Rooms fine with king size bed. Our room overlooked the tropical garden. Enjoy the rain and the animal sounds on the balcony during a downpour at night. Truly a dream. Merlin exudes class, tranquility and cleanliness. The beach is kept really clean unlike the resorts next door. Staff more than friendly. They want to do everything for you. We rented a scooter. That costs about 5 euros per day. All excursions undertaken by yourself. Bamboo rafting is a true experience. Eating out is dirt cheap.

Top facility again at any time. We felt very comfortable. You feel like you're in the jungle, but you're still in a hotel. Rooms are well equipped and clean and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is very motivated and very attentive to the guests.

Fantastically beautiful facility. Everything was to our complete satisfaction. We will be back.

This is the third time we stayed at Khaolak Merlin Resort. We really love it here. Beautiful garden with wildlife, comfortable rooms, pools and the staff is very friendly and are always willing to help. We were happy to see some of the staff is till here after so many years. Nice to meet them again. We'll we be back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Merlin Khao Lak with our 9-month old. We had a nice welcome with some refreshments.
It's a very nice resort with a tropical garden and a beautiful beach. We were able to see some animals (except the famous Slow loris). The room, public spaces, pools and the beach were clean. The garden and pools were well maintained.
We stayed during the low season so it wasn't busy, which we liked very much, it was very relaxing. The staff was friendly, though the communication in English was somewhat challenging at times.
But overall we enjoyed our holiday and would recommend this resort!

Some suggestions for improvement:
- The light and airco switch at the bedside requires maintenance or should be modernized. The switch worked but not as you would expect. For example, when turning a specific light on/off, the airconditioning reacted instead.
- We would've liked to have more options for lunch and drinks. Lunch was only provided in one restaurant. Also, some bars were closed or were unattended during the day (like the poolbar and the bar next to the main restaurant). So when we wanted something to drink we had to go to the beachbar or the Veranda restaurant.
- The cocktails served were typical 'all-inclusive' cocktails in our opinion: small amount of liquor + too small glasses (for mass production during the high season I think). You can order better cocktails outside the hotel for a better price.
- Only one shuttle a day going to Khao Lak centre and not even a roundtrip. Maybe also offer a trip back to the hotel at a set time since a trip to the centre is offered.

When travelling in the low season be prepared to see a lot of closed or abandoned-looking restaurants/bars in Khao Lak.

Refused for a head massage because I am three months pregnant. I was going to book my November vacation again in this hotel, and now I'm going to change places. THANKS

Great hotel! You are in an ecological environment with lots of nature. Everywhere you look it is beautiful. The resort is well maintained and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are practical and have everything you need. The food in the restaurants is not expensive and very tasty. The pools are beautiful. Overall great!

We were looking for a quiet hotel, immersed in greenery and we found it.
Plenty of swimming pools, natural atmosphere, rich and varied breakfast and helpful and smiling staff.
For those looking for peace, sea and nature.
We really enjoyed it!

We had an absolute amazing stay at the Merlin Resort. The staff was really nice, a lot of different breakfast options, beautiful tropical gardens, pools and beach. The room was very clean and if you needed to borrow some extra towels you could get them at the reception. I would really like to stay here again.

การเช็คอินไม่มีเวลคัมดริ๊งหรือผ้าเย็น การให้บริการ ส่วนตัวถือว่าเฉยๆไม่ดีและไม่แย่

ห้องพักที่จองค่อนข้างอยู่ไกลและอยู่ชั้นสาม

โดยรวมห้องพักดีอาหารเช้าก็ดีส่วนพนักงานผมคิดว่าถ้าเอาตามจริงก็ควรต้องปรับปรุงแหละ เพราะไม่ได้ยิ้มหรือหน้าตาเซอร์วิสมายด์เท่าไหร่

The hotel is beautiful. There is a large garden in the hotel, just like a tropical jungle. There are many animals living in the hotel. Because there are many plants, it pays great attention to ecological harmony. The room was also very comfortable and the food for breakfast and dinner was very good. The hotel will also organize some activities, such as bird watching in the hotel in the morning, tree monkey hunting in the evening and so on. We stayed here for over 2 weeks and it was very comfortable.
Disadvantages: There is no public transportation near the hotel, and you need to take a taxi every time you go out, so the phone bill will be very high. There is really nothing to do around here, and there are no famous attractions, so it is more suitable for a simple vacation. If you want to go diving or something, it is recommended to live in Phuket.

Our expectations were exceeded. The Merlin is beautiful, the photos of the others say it all. Like in the jungle, well laid out area, very clean and always friendly staff.
Many thanks again to the hotel We had an upgrade and got the pool villa with a direct sea view and a private pool. It was like paradise
The hotel is located in Khao Lak South. Very quiet but it was perfect for us. We just wanted to relax and didn't need any hustle and bustle. But you can also quickly take a taxi to Khao Lak Center.
We can fully recommend the Merlin and will definitely be back again
