Ban Rim Nam Restaurant

Highly recommended if you are staying at Koh yao yai phuket. Live seafood slightly on the average higher side but you get what you buy, nothing gets fresher than this place. Taste is authentic thai flavours and spices herbs used is phenomenal. Cons side to it, it is halal, so too bad for drinkers, but good for our muslim friends and families. Family and couples friendly. Lady boss speaks good english and is very engaging and hospitable. It is around 30minutes by car from Santhiya resort but it definitely makes the trip to n fro worthwhile. Indefinitely, i went there twice in a row for dinner on my 4days trip, tried all their available live seafood, nothing beats the grilled humongous live tiger prawns, live lobster and of course my favourite mantis shrimp. It is a must try if you are travelling to koh yao yai, go during dinner hours for nice sunset instagrammable photos. Rustic joint with wood decor, decent colourful plating of food, nice down to earth fishing village feels backdrop. Yet again, good and decent thai food. Oh ya, the coconut banana hot dessert is a MUST TRY. IT IS TOO DELICIOUS!

Delicious food and a beautiful view! A few local people recommended this place, and they were right! The Tuna Salad and the sea food coconut soup were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Amazing Michelin star worthy food that will make you question any Thai meal you had before. This place is so good that we stayed an extra night in Koh Yao Yai just so we can have lunch here again

Friendly service and delicious at even friendlier prices. The menu is extensive so come hungry and try different dishes and deserts. This is without a doubt the best Thai food I ever tried.

The food at this restaurant is amazing! They serve fresh seafood from the local fishermen and they definitely know how to prepare it. The red and green curry were also very tasty. I suggest you also try the dessert: banana in warm coconut milk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located at the pier so you can easily get to it. It was also very clean.

Amazing food! They serve fresh seafood here, the staff are very nice and generous they let us borrow their raincoats because as we finished eating, it started raining. I highly recommend this place!
