You have to walk always 120 steps to the room. The room and service was nothing special. Pool was not clean. Not worth the price

The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They will meet you are the pier and take your bags and bring them to your room. There are no motorbikes or cars on the island, so you have to walk everywhere. They will also take your bags back to the pier on the day you leave.

I wish I could give a higher review because the room is simple and clean and the staff if very friendly and helpful, but there are some negatives. Depending what room you are in, you might be in for quite the steep hike up stairs to your room. The trade off is the incredible view.

Also, the way the rooms are made, you can here everything outside the room. There is loud music on the island until about 3am sometimes and you will hear it clear as day.

The hotel was quite old and shabby, but it did its job as a cheap accommodation when we stopped for one night in Phi Phi on the way from Lanta to Phuket. It was nice when the staff met us at the port without being asked and carried the bags to the hotel for us. Difficult stairs to the room, not for the unfit.

Your laundry service ruined all of our clothes. Our clothes are now all way too small and have stains everywhere. This is really a bottomless impudence. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Never ever again!

Most of all it got the greatest staff and lobby you can have. Very friendly and helpful in any way, giving you a free beach towel to bring with you and back and helpful with any requests you might have.

Also it's close but not too close to the main city of phi phi, so you won't be disturbed by the young wild nightlife of travelers.

Very nice room, clean, bed is very comfortable, benefit is its high so fresh air and not too noise, but too many steps up and a bit noisy from people walking. No breakfast.

My experience was fabulous, went in may 2022 and i booked for a normal room and they gave me the best room available (best views). I could see from my balcony both beaches and was an amazing landscape. The only thing was you have many steps to get to the room, but views were worth it, but i would not recommend this room for someone with knee problems, i will say you need to be quite fit for the top cottages. Very friendly staff, the help you to bring your luggage to the room and also they pick you up at the port with a tuktuk. The bed was amazingly decorated with towels with a swan shape and everything very clean. Bathroom is a bit dark though and there is no electricity in the room if you are bot there, you have to ask for a jey at the reception for this.
I will recommend for sure.

The room is basic but perfectly fine for the price. Be warn that, as the name suggest, it is uphill so you'll have to climb a lot of stairs. The best thing about this place is the staff. They are unbelievably kind and helpful. They provided us with free snorkels, water and beach towels, and they helped us arrange snorkeling tours and ferry tickets at unbeatable prices.

I am staying there for 3 days 2 night together with my wife.
It is a bit mix feeling. My room comes with a very nice view because it is "Uphill".

Beside my room there is a very nice place for us to sit and enjoy the nice beautiful view with nice cool air during the morning and night.
But in exchange you may need to climb a lot every day for few round a day.

***Hair dryer is available but you may need to ask from the counter.

Swimming pool is small. I never try it as it always occupy by others.

The Breakfast is standard western style comes with sausage, nice fruits, bacon. I recommend you to take the breakfast so you will have sufficient energy to go on with more "exercise".
We did get bored with the breakfast as there is not much choices.

They will help us to carry our luggage up from the Jetty which is good cause it is a long journey. But not for the time we check out.
But we a re good with that as it is not climbing up.

Amazing views but the temperature of the room in the middle of the afternoon when we arrived with no aircon on was like an oven and warm drinks in an unplugged fridge. Our hut was the very top hut, so amazing views but also the furthest away from the Router. Wifi would often loose connection or be between 7 and 21 mbps in the room, I told the guy in reception but he didn't seem too interested! I didn't come to Phi Phi to be constantly looking at my phone but unfortunately circumstances at home forced me into having to use my phone but I could never rely on the wifi

Expect a work out up to your room but the view is worth it! (We stayed in room A30). Staff are friendly and everything is close walking distance but far enough away from the parties on the beach that you aren't bothered. My 1 problem is I took a quick dip in their swimming pool and found bleach marks on my brand new expensive shorts: (oh well. Lesson learned. Dont swim in their swimming pool. Have fun!

I got sick while visiting Kho Phi Phi islands: serious bacterial stomach infection. I could barely climb down the stairs the day we were about to book out of the cottage. The staff of Uphill cottage saw me struggling, growling etc and immediately took my bags from me and got help. They phoned the ambulance who got there very quickly, helped me to sit down, were kind, helpful, offered me water etc. Shame, they felt so sorry for me; jumped around to assist. I could especially see that the girl working at reception felt so sorry for me. I couldn't thank anyone, because at that time I wanted to fall to the ground with pain.

I got on the ambulance and they immediately took care of all our luggage, they arranged another room for my husband to stay in for another evening and brought our luggage down to the Pier on the day I was released from hospital.

The young man that worked at reception gave us very friendly and valuable advice during our trip and even helped us carry our bags up the steps etc. He had alot of patients with me and all my questions.

The steps are high, but it's all worth it in the morning I heared a fellow traveller say. I really enjoyed the pool and liked the rule that everyone first have to take a shower next to the pool before getting in. Made it feel cleaner and more comfortable (public pool). Everyone obliged to the rules funny enough.

Thank you once again for showing kindness towards me.

The upgrade to the superior does not worth the price. The staff is a bit unpolite and the location is not really comfortable compared to other resort in phi phi

Nice and pleasant place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really delicious. I was very happy with fresh fruits. You have to be prepared to climb a bit but it is totally worth it as first of all - you will have a nice view and secondly - you will be a bit further form all the city noise as this is quiet place. The only noise that you can hear are monkeys jumping around) especially during the sunrise and sunset), so please hide all your food to avoid a surprise.

Worst and most expensive experience we've had in Thailand thus far. Please I beg you to book accommodation anywhere else but this place.

First and foremost, AC does not work in any room. They change our room 3 time and in any of these rooms it worked properly. Other clients had exactly the same problem. (imagine how hard was to sleep at night with 32 of temperature)

Secondly, rooms are in the hill so you need to climb imposible steps to get to your room. I am not joking, maybe one time is okey but do it everyday is exhausting.

Staff is incredibly rude and not willing to help at all.

Again please do not book this place, and if you do it please then do not say that nobody told you.

I never write bad reviews, but seriously- stay away from this place.

Nice stay. We were up towards the top of the complex, lots of steps but that made it better for us as it was quieter. Rooms were very basic but aderqute and clean, ours had wonderful views. There was a small swimming pool which was kept very clean. We had breakfast every day which was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Decent place but a but expensive. It is better to book a hostel instead since hotels and hostels are moreover the same on this island.

I love this Place.location close to bar and the beache. Get ready to climb the stairs to your room.

At this price point, Uphill is a fair opinion with reasonably spacious rooms and daily cleaning service (upon request). The stairs are steep and challenging if you’re not in shape, but overall, a good place to stay.
