We loved our stay at Shellsea, from the moment we met the fine people at the reception, to the nice clean big room with the most comfortable bed! And the Fin bar is a good place to sit and relax, where we had delicious pizza. The Otium Spa massage was very much worth it, and overall, the swimming pool and the garden area are well maintained and beautiful. Add to that the beach, and the great staff, it’s a fantastic place!

Unfortunately we didn‘t stay here during our trip, but we visited for dinner and drinks which were all amazing. The hotel looks gorgeous and the beach fabulous. Next visit to Krabi I will definitely stay here!

One of the most luxurious places I have ever been to, at least for now. The service is next level, you are cared for at all times. The resort isn't too big and has its own beach, which isn't too crowded at all times. There is a large pool and one or two smaller pools; there are a few places around the garden where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view. Sunset doesn't go over the sea, but it's still beautiful.

Breakfast is good and sometimes crowded. I recommend the crispy bacon. The place is indeed five star and every bit of the experience is taken care of.

There's a fossil site nearby that is visible during low tide, hense the name. It is beautiful to observe. The maximum low tide reveals a serious part of the beach and it basically becomes impossible to swim. There's mud and sharp shells that make it difficult to get too far in the water. The water itself is muddy, so not suitable for diving.

The resort is far away from anything, except for a nice local restaurant down the road. It is around 15 minutes from Ao Nang and there's a shuttle that goes to and from the town a couple of times in the day. However it's often insufficient for all the people that want to take it, so booking in advanced is recommended and even then the shuttle may be full. This is one thing that is rather sub-par.

Another con, the internet is slow to connect and sometimes disconnects, something other hotels are way better at. Odd critique, the toilet was too loud and the water was running for far too long after usage, which at nights was annoying.

We had a couple of nights at ShellSea Garden, then a couple of nights at ShellSea Ocean. By comparison, the Ocean room is NOT worth the extra $80/night at all! The rooms are the same inside, you will see a little bit of Ocean from far away. The sun is in your deck all morning, by 10: 00am and on, screaming kids and a brunch of half naked people will lay by the pool right in front of your deck. I couldn’t believed I paid over 300 US dollars for this! I will go back to the Garden room in a heartbeat.

The breakfast buffet was the standard and basic without any specialities or quality. We had much better one at Hilton Bangkok. And you better arrived to breakfast right at 6: 30, because the place will be packed/crowded with loud & rude mainland Chinese tourists by 7: 00 ~ 7: 30, who think it’s totally normal to hack and cough anywhere/however they want.

Overall, this place was a disappointment. We have had better experience elsewhere in Krabi for much better value!

ShellSea has mostly substantial service in its bars and restaurants. The room is clean and tidy. The environment is substantial and mostly adequately designed. They provide service for local tours - Island Hopping, Jungle Tours are great examples of this.

However, this hotel is quite costly and its facilities are insufficient for the price they charge. Food choices are quite basic as well.

Overall I somewhat recommend this hotel as of the above.

Got dropped there by mistake, got a free lift to our real accommodation as well as a complementary drink. Thanks for the hospitality!

Best hotel ever! Me and my friends had great time during our stayed in this fabulous hotel, definitely 5 starts quality and top service, we were really enjoyable!

The Shell Sea Krabi is the best places to stay if you come to visit Krabi

This is a new hotel at krabi. Nice resort to keep lazy all day. The food is good but not to much variety. This hotel is a little bit far from krabi town. So you have to take a taxi or you can rent a bike. This place has private beach at the back of the resort. The room is nice and clean. They have good swimming pool with a beach view.

Tranquility. Friendly staff. Good food. Great views. Wish they would clean the whole beach and not just the 50meters near the hotel. Plastic here is a problem! One star less for not caring enough about sea creatures.
