Sleeper Hostel

I need to say - don't stay at this place! I stayed in a dorm for two nights. The room was extremely smelly, and this was not because of the other guests, the air conditioning does not work properly, the restrooms were mostly dirty. Many stairs. Noisy. No social vive (possible!). The staff was really not helpful and spoke no English. Nevertheless, they always pushed on spending money and buying this or that from their preferred places. They booked a van shuttle for an early flight for me, and didn't not tell me about that noone would be at the reception then, so didn't give me back my deposit. Overall, a really bad experience!

We stayed two days in this establishment, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. (little wink to Nang, very nice person). The hostel is clean, the rooms are smartly made.

This hostel is so lovely. It's clean and quiet but still has a nice vibe. The people who work there are so friendly and couldn't be more accommodating. Even after I left the hostel to go to Railey beach they let me leave my bag there overnight and use the shower when I returned. Really recommend it's also in a good part of town. 5 mins walk from the beach and a few mins from the food market

Location is excellent and price is fair. Stayed in a 14 bed dorm. The bathrooms were very dirty and the showers would go between having no pressure (I’m talking a couple drips of water) or being cold depending on the day. The lockers are large enough to fit your entire large backpack. The bed I had was so far away from the air conditioning unit that I was sweating all night. My friend’s bed was a top bunk right under the giant air conditioner meaning she would hit her head every time she got up there. Oh and the door to the room was very heavy and would slam so loud every time someone left the room. The common area is pretty small and the rooftop area is TINY and very dirty. Clearly not maintained at all.

True to it's name, its a good place if you want to catch up on some zzzzz. Not too social. Dorm floor kinda dirty (but that's probably because of the guests). Shower curtains definitely need to be changed or cleaned. Bidet available so that's cool. Aircon decent, staff is courteous and helpful. Not bad for the price, and close to wherever you wanna go on Ao Nang!

10min walk from aonang beach, and the hostel is nearby amenities (laundry, 7 eleven, supermarket, eateries). Understaffed so the bar was not open, but the owner and staff are all very helpful. Shower only has curtain, no doors. Upper bunk is a little warmer but still fine for me.

Locked out until 4am at night.
Showers stop working at some point no more water is coming.
Bed bugs and moist rooms.
The hygiene in the bathrooms is really bad.
Upon complaining about being locked out at night, the hostel owner becomes really agressive. He‘s even taking a picture of me wearing pyjamas (!) during the conversation.

the air conditioner is on the bed, in the photo (which is the one they publish, because I couldn't take one because of my nerves), you can see a little, but they have removed the pillow and from the perspective of the photo there seems to be more space.but you literally have the air on your face, if you move you hit it. Apart from the clear cold, that other people turn it on, turn it off, raise it, lower it and all that in your face.clearly because of the air conditioning the curtain that closes the box does not close completely, that is, light enters above and everyone can see you

I asked them to change my bed and they were full, then I asked them to return my money and they did not want to return the total, they charged me the commission that booking charges.

The person in charge not only did not solve my problem, but he yelled at me, treated me badly, left me on the street without a hostel and without money.

The first time I went down to the reception to ask for help, while I was explaining what was happening, other people from the staff were behind me, when I turned around they were laughing at me and recording with my cell phone, I guess they were amused that I came down in my pajamas, but it is a great lack of respect.

The person who attended me at the reception is very disrespectful, he made me feel very bad, I told him many times not to yell at me and not to disrespect me, because I was speaking well to myself and nothing was my fault.they admitted that this bed is inadmissible, nor would they sleep there, but they continue to rent it and do not resolve it.

We’ve only been in the restaurant of Sleepers Hostel. The food is super good, and the coffee is even as tasty! We had the sourdough baguette and the pad tai. The owner of the place is super friendly and gave us tips for the rest of our travel in Thailand.

The hostel is great and the staff are really nice. I would stay there again and highly recommend it!

Very cheap but the floor was dirty. The staffs were very friendly and understanding. The air conditioning and the room were nice enough, there were lockers under the beds.but the shower room were quite awkward for women, there was no door, only curtain. It won't feel comfortable for women who travel alone, I won't recommend it.

Travelers of the Krabi area DO NOT stay at Ao Nang Sleeper Hostel. Please do not be fooled like I was by the lovely photographed atmosphere or convenient location and a few positive reviews on hostel apps.
The truth is that this place is a stinky mess & maybe a health hazard.
Visually the lobby looked clean; but as I opened the front door we were welcomed by a faint odor of wet moldiness, which only increased in intensity as we were escorted to the room. Our 4 person room felt like a cell due to it having no windows. I am more than willing to overlook that sort of thing. But the mold odor from earlier was particularly strong in the room & it was added to by a whiff of fecal matter.

I had the staff member who checked us in turn on a fan & spray some air freshener in hopes that the room's smell was just a result of it not having been used in a while.

I learned the next day after complaining that there was a water leak that occurred and there solution was to cover a vent with cardboard and tape. Did I mention the rats the first night that opened the vent covering (the solution) looking for a way out because even rodents didnt want to be in the vented area. The very next morning I had them move me to a new room and had to explain why with their response being they fixed the problem a couple days earlier (cardboard over vent) which was obviously not the case. I also had to request my refund for the downgraded room.

Now for those who might say "Oh it's just Thailand", I might agree with you if not for the obviousness that this is a chronic issue & so it means that we were exposed to increasing airborne bacteria spores throughout the night. When we both woke up with a cough. We THOUGHT it was a result of the AC. Nevertheless lowering our immune systems while there is a viral sickness going on currently is not on my wish list of experiences from a hostel stay
So please make the right choice.

Huge open dorms, you can have huge dorms but you still can manage to give more privacy to people

Good hostel. Close to the beach. Clean and neat. Comfortable bed. Bathroom can be a bit more clean though.

The reception was very kind to us and let us change our number of nights with no problem. The place was clean and the air conditioning was amazing! Across the street and to the right you will find the food center which is basically street vendors in one space. The prices were super cheap and food was good. I would recommend this place.

I think it's bit overpriced, but in ao nang prices are bit higher because of tourism.some rooms had no windows, bad smell, showers were not very nice.
Not far from beach, but I would recommend to choose other place.

Would have been 5 star, but the 4 bed dorm we initially booked its air con was blowing in all the smells from the toilet, we complained and they said we had to stick it that night and move to an 8 bed dorm the next night, no effort to buy an airfreshner or anything, the 8 bed was spot on, other than that or was a great stay!

It's a really nice place to stay. Hostel is very near to the beach. Its a traveller friendly hostel. Staffs are really helpful.
