Shadow Rock Climbing

Arrived at 1pm with two friends and were immediately told we can go! It was great no waiting around. Definitely scary at first but we’re glad we did it. Our guide made us feel very safe and helped us believe in ourselves and him. 10/10 would do it again! No complaints from us!

This was a great company to climb with. More affordable than some of the other options and the experience was just as good if not better. Would definitely use Shadow Rock in the future.

This is a great shop to rent gear from. Kor (sp?) was a super friendly guy and offered the best prices we could find in Railay on daily rentals. We rented from him multiple days and found the gear to be in great shape (of course be sure to inspect for yourself). He keeps his shop open pretty late as well so you can take full advantage of the day on those long multipitch routes or sunset climbs. 10 out of 10 would rent here again next time we visit!

My husband and I did a half day session with Jay and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Jay was really friendly and helpful, catered to the different levels of experience in the group, and made sure we got to try the routes we were really keen on! Free cold water and a little gift at the end were lovely touches. Recommend!

Only rented gear here and found out later it’s the cheapest place in Railay! The staff were super nice and helpful. They let us borrow a guide book overnight to research routes and even offered to put up a route for us when we ran into them at a nearby crag.

Not the best for beginners. I expected the instructor to give a briefing about how the climbing will happen and what are the do’s and dont’s. We were 3 people per instructor and the wait was also quite long between climbs. It was often unclear what the instructor is saying as well. Half of the whole climbing time was just going to the bat cave to go down a rope and then back to shop. Overall our instructor just didnt make me feel fully safe about climbing. Also he was smoking next to us while we wait for others to climb.

Es war eine tolle Klettersession bei Shadow Rock Climbing. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen dort eine Session zu buchen. Sehr gefreut habe ich mich auch über das kleine Präsent am Ende!

Highly professional instructor, who leaves no room for mistake in terms of safety. We absolutely loved rock climbing with Shadow Rock Climbing: everything was arranged very efficiently, instructor was very helpful, the whole family (including a 6 y.o.) had an amazing time.

Did a deepwater solo trip with Shadow Rock Climbing - only place in Railay that will do it. Cost us 1,000 THB each for 8 people and they provided a bottle of water each for the 4-5 hour trip as well as old shoes to use. We took a longtail boat to a rock in the Andaman Sea with two routes on it, one easy and one harder, then went to a beach where we snorkelled and did some bouldering. The staff were so lovely and kind to us.

Did a half day rock climbing session with Kwat and I hope to be back again to try for longer! He was patient and kind, and let me find my own way around the rock! Service from Shadow Rock during my booking was super friendly and personable, with even some advice on things to do in Krabi before my session! Thank you for a day I will never forget!

Great place to rent gear they are close to some good climbing areas and have relatively ew gear compared to some of the other places. Staff were super friendly and the prices were awesome we rented a rack and rope for a half day and it only cost 400 bhat
