We had a very tasty meal here for really little money. Among other things, the Pad Thai, stir fried basil chicken, the papaya salad and the Penang curry tasted very good.

Might sound a little strange but we just had the best papaya salad on the island so far at Papaya Restaurant:) very nice lady and her husband, awesome cooking traditional dishes. Dont miss also the stir fry green curry noodles.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Never a truer word said. Looks a bit run down but (omg) food is superb. Best Thai I've had all holiday. Oh. And reasonable prices

This restaurant offers verry good local Thai cuisine and is owned by a friendly family. We went there for 4 days in a row and were never disappointed. We can recommend their papaya salad, the penang and the Indian curry. Enjoy!

Definitely the best food that I tried, while in Ko Lanta! We were visiting this restaurant regularly, it was always the best choice. Prices are very reasonable, the food is incredible, and owners are very hospitable. I usually like to visit as many places as possible, but in this case, I really didn't mind to visit Papaya Restaurant almost every day during my stay:) Highly recommended.

Fantastic food, full of taste, made with love. You have to wait for your order, because everything's prepared on demand by only two people. We ate here a couple of times, tried soups, curries, tea, smoothies, morning glory of course, desserts and even french fries - everything was incredibly delicious. The best tom yum I had in Thailand.

Cozy little place owned by a very friendly elderly lady (I’m honestly disgusted by the one review that calls her crazy - so disrespectful and just wrong on every level. Says a lot about the author of the review.) and she knows how to cook! Try the salads, but anyways…anything you‘ll choose you will not regret. Delicious! Highly recommended!

I have been there far too many times and it has been great each time. If you are staying in Koh Lanta, just take a moment to have a meal there.

This is probably the best Thai food I have ever eaten. The woman is simply wonderful and she will cook you delicious food. I think I ate here four or five times during my stay. Recommended both for the food, the juicy shakes and for the hospitality.

I am not sure that the woman of this restaurant knows about her success on maps, but 5 stars are completely deserved, really good Thai food, spicy enough (unless you ask without) and prices very good. She is always smiling (not so common in koh lanta) and this is a great plus. Definitely recommended.

Fabulous food, the chief, well she is lovely but a little crazy. Been here a few times already and will definitely will be coming back.

We stay in Lanta for 3 weeks, almost everyday come to eat the food are yummy, fresh and the price also cheap.the owner are super nice and friendly, we really love it
