Mango House Seafront Villas and Suites

The Mango House is located in Koh Lanta's old town. We stayed there for 4 nights and beforehand we were a bit worried that it might be a bit noisy at night. Exactly the opposite was the case. Koh Lanta's old town is an incredibly quiet and familiar little place where we felt very comfortable at all times. The view from the terrace was fantastic. The Mango House is furnished in a rustic style, which we really liked. We would especially like to say "thank you" to Samsun, who always lovingly looked after us and gave us good tips. The communication was great and we would go back to the Mango House anytime:) Adrian and Pia

I can reccomend Mango House to anyone who wants to stay in place with beautiful view and great location. From our terrace we had a view to the sea and we slept to the sound of waves. Samsun, the owner is very nice and helpful, thanks to him we got a great trip, tickets and reccomendations. The Old Town is calm at night and there's a lot of shops and restaurants.

The Mango House is a beautiful and silent location in the middle of Koh Lanta Oldtown. You can feel straight away the charm of this are For us it was beautiful time during our stay for 3 days. We spend every morning on the balcony to watch the sunrise. Equipment is perfect with, shower gel, kitchen stuff, clean rooms and so on. Very good local restaurants are close by (50m). In addition the Service of Mango House is extraordinary good. If you need any support like recommendations or the organization of a boat trip - Mr. Samsung will search for the best and cheapest one. My girlfriend was for the time of our stay on crunches, due to a motorcycle accident. Therefore we were very happy about the strong support and happy welcome. We will come back for sure!

We had the most fabulous stay at Mango house, you really feel like you are are taken away to this old Thai wooden pilar house from the old Siam but with a new modern touch, you also have the comfort of own fully equipped kitchen! The whole area is very charming but the highlight for me was the morning coffee on the back deck with the most beautiful view of the many limestone Islands on the east coast of Lanta. I can strongly recommend this place and the very friendly staff will help you with everything from motorbike to snorkel / diving trips as well. The highlight of our stay for sure! Xx

This place was awesome. You get a great view and amazing service. Samsun offered us a great deal on the boat ride back to Phuket. Only flaw is that it is a ways away from the nice beaches/bars but the taxi ride there is only 500 thb.

Mango house is the kind of hidden gem that independent travelers dream about finding. It’s an amazing traditional house built on pilings- literally, over the sea. You can hear the waves under you while you lay in bed. The house is an authentic, traditional home with gorgeous wood and a generous deck over the sea. Very kind people in town, and the owner, Roman, is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Yes - this place is off the beaten track. Yes - it’s a little funky and high/end, fussy travelers might not have all of their needs met. But, for adventurous people.this is exactly the place (and authentic experience) you’ve been looking for.

Beautiful, spacious accom in old town. Large decking area over water ideal for breakie and just chilling. Definitely be back.

Fantastic wooden place on stilts over the ocean for a very reasonable price! Roman is a great host organising long tail trips into the mangroves and awnsering all questions. Love this place and can highly recommend it!

It looks even better than in pictures! Terrace and the view from it was stunning. The best part for me was the sound of a water under the floor (you can even see it through spaces between floorboards). Hope to come back there soon!

My girlfriend and me were staying in Mango House for 4 nights. We really didn't want to leave this place as we felt in love with Koh Lanta and the Mango House.
With the small kitchen we could make our breakfast for ourselfes and enjoy it at the beautiful balcony, having the ocean under us. We already miss to relax at the hammock over the ocean.
Also the owner and the Thai contact Person Samsung are really nice people. Samsung gave us so many information what to do on the island and how to save money.
We definitely will come back there!

We stayed at Mango House for two and half spectacular days in February. It’s unlike anyplace I’ve stayed in, the entire place stilted up over the Adaman Sea, which you can hear constantly rushing under the floorboards.like being on a boat in the best way. The deck is loaded with comfy deck chairs and swaying hammocks. With the stellar views and the welcome breeze we spent most of our time there. This might not be for fussy high end travelers.it’s more authentic and rustic. The floorboards creak, but are sturdy.instead of artificial air conditioning you get an amazing flow of sea air flowing from the windows and doors and the spaces between floorboards, keeping you cool. New owner Roman was very helpful with showing us the place, and can suggest all kinds of boating, snorkeling and diving excursions for the traveler. He also helped booking a scooter which is the best to kick around Koh Lanta. Old Town itself is very chill, and we had great meals and cocktails in the restaurants within crawling distance from Mango House.

Such an awesome place! Beautifully located on stilts over the water, nice and quiet and a spectacular sunrise to start your day. Very nice, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Owner, Roman, is super helpful with everything from arranging tailor made snorkelling and diving trips, motorbike rentals, where to go to get proper, local food etc. Can only recommend!

Mango House Seafront Villa is a beautiful place with a perfect location in the center of the Old Town. Me and my wife enjoyed our 7days stay. The Villa has everything what you could ask for (kitchen, fridge, toaster, shower,). It's also spacious with amazing sea view terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee. I would highly recommend to everyone, looking forward to come back.

We stayed in Mango House number 3 for three nights and loved it. It’s a unique way to experience local living in a humble, beautiful little home on stilts over the ocean. Lanta Old Town is a true gem. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, but it does not have air conditioning and can get hot during the day. However we were out most days so it didn’t matter, and the deck is a perfect way to cool off. I would note that the decks for houses 1 and 2 are joint and so they have less privacy.

Mango House was our favorite place we stayed on our long trip to Thailand. Our bungalow was perched perfectly over the sea and in the middle of old town, Lanta. It was amazing walking the magical streets of old town and then falling asleep each night with the waves below. Truly a dream. Our host, Samsung, attended to our every need. If we needed a taxi, a boat, a massage, towels, scooter rental, four island tour, Samsung could organize and get special price. Not only was he super helpful, but we felt like we made a true friend in him. If you want an experience that far surpasses anything you can get in more touristy parts of Thailand, come stay at mango house in old town Lanta. You won’t regret it!

After 3 visits still our fav place to stay in Lanta. Beautiful old wooden houses on the sea. Great views and always a fresh breeze in the house, even some glitter during morning hours.

Very rustic room that overlooks the water in old town. This is an open air room with no ac so it can get very hot, but we knew that going in. The room was clean, stocked with water and we had our host Samson who was absolutely awesome. The location is great, very walkable to the pier and all the shops. Everyone around the village is super helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay

Very nice place to stay for some nights in Koh Lanta, it felt like sleeping on a boat with all the water from the sea under our bedroom! The view from the terrace is amazing and you can totally relax there. We had everything we need (full equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, water.) for spending a great time in the Mango house! The neighbourhood is amazing, there are a lot of nice shops and restaurants and we felt being a part of them. The local guy (Samsun) which was responsible for everything made an excellent job and cared a lot about us! We would definitelyf come back! Highly recommended!

Everything we expected, rustic decor, amazing views, great host and good communication and Samsun is a great manager and he will look after you and make sure you have everything you need.
