Lanta Sand Resort&Spa

It was time to expand some of the places that I had been to or at and I booked a couple of days on Koh Lanta. This was late October 2023 just coming into the highest season. This particular hotel popped up at the top of the booking platforms.it looked good so I decided to give it a try. It obviously has a variety of different rooms and prices, but I really liked my room and had good conversations with the Aussie couple I met at the bar.

I met the owner, Derek, and had a beer with  him. I definitely want to return and hope or will see if I get a chance.

One con thing I can say is that this area does not have a great deal of touristy things to do and there is not even a 7Eleven nearby, but I didn't really miss touristy things. It was a relaxing change of pace and I went in the pool and the ocean multiple times. Also rented a motorbike at the hotel and was able to visit Old Lanta Town and a couple of beaches.it was good.

I watched the sun go down with a beer at the bar and was able to access the beach and water.one of the best beaches in Thailand.

As a recommendation, I give this resort a 5 star recommendation,   which is rare for me but one of the most pleasant stays that I've had.

Beautiful beach. Was nice inside the hotel. I had a massage in the perfect hotel, the prices are the same as outside. The breakfast is excellent. For French people who want to see the Koh Lanta totem, it is 30 minutes from this hotel.

Super nice hotel with breathtaking views! Room with a swim-up pool was really cool, you were pretty much alone on the beach.really fantastic!

We really liked this place. Rooms with plunge pool are lovely, very good value and right on the beach which is stunning. We stayed in low season so not much if going on at the beach. Breakfast was fantastic value at buffet style and only 250 Baht pp.

This place is a gem, the staff is super friendly, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the pools and the beachfront.
The WiFi was quite spotty at times though, not a great place for some remote working but there are some nice cafés and co-working spaces within walking distance.

Very good beach view resort on the island. I stay at beach front pool access. Beautiful room design with new renovated. The beach is long and best place to see sunset. Food is good. Drinks happy hour with pizza combo is value for cost. Hotel located at the good location many shop and restaurant around both beachside and street side. Thank you Derek manager and team taking care and give support during stay. Highly recommend and will return.

We had a really nice stay here over Christmas.
The Ressort is right at the beach with plenty of places to chill, the bar serves fresh smoothies and cocktails. The gym was ok equipped, the breakfast Menue had a really good nice variety the people working there are super kind and service oriented. We had a private pool in our room and an outside shower which was really nice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They take great care of the resort, always present and cleaning the grounds and the beach. I am giving a 4/5 because the beds need replacing as the mattress is sagging in the middle. Thankfully the staff was very nice and brought 2 extra mattress cover/toppers which helped soften and even it out. The breakfast was included in our rate so we ate there but if it’s not included I recommend walking to one of the beach restaurants where you can get delicious cheap food.

My boyfriend and I came to Lanta Sand during the end of a long trip through parts of Vietnam and Thailand. For the price, it is very worth it! Lovely grounds and beach. I had a nice massage and facial in the spa for a great price. The room and outdoor shower were cozy. I am leaving feeling relaxed and will hopefully return one day!

Actually the reception make pretty difficult. Even thought the room is free we cannot move the room a bit earlier.we are not new check in.just move the room co the room we stay is fully booked.instead of check out at 12 and check in again 2.have to wait.excuse me there are so many free rooms here while we are staying.

If you are in koh lanta you got to visit this hotel. Private beach at the hotel is mesmerizing. Staff is very cordial, they have bikes on rent.
Must visit place.

This is such a nice resort, and the staff here is very nice. Our room had humidity smell (I guess it was closed for a long period), but they immediately change it, in less than a minute. Room/appartments are very very nice, I could say this is a luxurious place. Right at the seafront, with hammocks and laying beds8. Next to the resort there are more bars, restaurants, and massage stands, so there are plenty of options. Highly recommended

Rooms are large and luxurious, staff is excellent and the beach area is lovely. Only the breakfast could be a bit better. Overall excellent value for your money

An old hotel which needs serious renovation.
Room had no outside window.
Staff not attentive.
We were here on business.
But would be annoyed if visiting for a holiday.
