Had a great time here, clean room and the staff was very kind.
I forgot 2 jackets there and the owner keep them and send me back while I was on another island, a very good and nice help! Thank you!

For the price? Amazing. All the people complaining are being absolutely ridiculous and you won’t get a better value for your dollar here in Lanta.

Yes the Bungalows are a bit out dated, but look at Lanta… This island is rougher around the edges to begin with and that’s the beautiful part.
I paid around 27 $CAD per night, had a big spacious room, our own mini house basically. Comfy bed/ blankets. Nice area to sit outside in the morning or at night. A/C. Not to mention 2 pools we could use, the botttom pool we basically had to ourselves! Friednly staff! Cleaned the room when we asked. I don’t write many reviews but I happily did today! Thankyou Lanta manda! If I stay near long beach again, this would be my hotel

Enjoyed our stay here immensely, nice individual apartments and great location.
The owner seemed less interested in his guests than we've experienced elsewhere and on Sunday took the day off to spend with his family and left no one to clean the lower pool. Which unfortunately was full of leafs and debris from the trees surrounding the pool, I had to net it a cpl of times myself before swimming. Clearly making too much money and not employing anyone to take on the responsibilities while taking the day off. Shame.

We have been to Thailand many times, but overall I think this was the worst accommodation, without exaggeration. The nights are very noisy because the main road is nearby and a constant dull bass can be heard, so we had to put on white noise music to be able to sleep. There is a lizard living in the wall that bangs all night long, and since the drywall reinforces it, it feels like someone is hitting the wall next to your head all the time. We love animals and we are used to them; we have stayed in accommodation on Koh Tao with meter-long lizards and bats on the ceiling, but for some reason, this noise is like a small child running around on the attic all night. Maybe the other houses are not like this, but 1104 is brutal. We chose it because of the 8.4 rating on Booking, but I think it is overrated. On the first day, the faucet broke and could not be turned off, which was immediately replaced, but the reception can only be reached through WhatsApp because most of the time, no one is there. The power outlets are in very poor condition, specifically those next to the bed and behind the TV, so they could not be used. They only provide bathtowels, so you have to use them even for tooth brushing. There is no hairdryer. The bed has a slightly sour smell. The first night I thought it was the flower on the nightstand, but I still smelled it when I put the flower in the corner of the room. When the wind blows, it constantly moves the bathroom door, which makes an annoying noise even when it's closed. I tried to block the gaps, but it didn't help. The whole room has a run-down atmosphere. Everything is used and broken, and even in the pool, one of the filter and mixing systems does not work, only the left side. It is constantly filled with leaves, which I picked out by hand during the day. I think the staff is too few, and it feels like a small village where there is no doorman. When we arrived, we did not receive any briefing on where things were. Supposedly there are two pools, but we never saw the second one. The worst thing is that every time we entered the bathroom, a cockroach greeted us. We killed two, but we did not give the others a chance, and we left the accommodation earlier than planned. We asked for a refund, but they said they could not give the money back for the early check-out. This is not an early check-out when you leave somewhere days earlier because you simply can't relax. Early check-out, in my opinion, is when you leave at 5 am instead of 9 am. I do not recommend this place to anyone, and it is by no means an 8.4 rating on Booking. The only positive thing is that the staff was very kind and helpful, and they quickly fulfilled any requests we had. They replaced the faucet, and when we had a flat tire on our motorbike, they immediately replaced it, but it is clear that they are tired, and more people are needed for such a large area.

Good value for what it is

This hotel consists of a strip of well-built bungalows lining a single road that goes straight up a hill with approximately a 10% gradient (pretty steep). It appears to be family-owned and the owner himself is friendly and helpful. It’s across the road from the Phra Ae beach resorts; one can walk to them in about 10 minutes. There is very little traffic, as the road is only used by the hotel guests and the guests (residents?) of a condo complex at the top of the hill; however, when traffic comes (e.g, when employees of the condo at the top of the hill arrive to work) it’s loud, as the old motorbikes struggle to get up the hill.

Pros

Good quality construction

Quiet and private; we could not hear any noise from the neighboring bungalows

Large rooms and huge bathroom

Big porch with chairs to sit outside

Close to the beach

Cons

Steep hill; unless you really enjoy climbing hills, you’ll need a motorbike (but you pretty much need a motorbike anywhere you stay on Koh Lanta)

Room is somewhat old/dated and in need of renovation; however, if renovated it would cost a lot more than it does now, so this is not a real complaint

Morning traffic noise of vehicles in low gear climbing the hill (only affects light sleepers and only for about an hour)

Pool area is at the bottom of the hill and is somewhat sterile feeling; we never used it

Mosquito party! The bungalows are right next to a forest and the place is swarming with big, black mosquitoes. This makes it unpleasant to sit on the nice porch, as even when I lit mosquito coils right under me I still got bit. Your mileage may vary; I’m a mosquito magnet, so they love me. My wife didn’t get bit once.

Verdict: It’s a good value for the price we paid

I stayed at the property for 4 nights. The room was spacious but that was its only perk. The bathroom was not the cleanest and smelled. The bed was very uncomfortable and had many springs sticking out that hurt to sleep on. On this side of the world I forgive the odd bug/ant etc in the room, but this one had mixed ants, roaches, beetles, mosquitoes and some other type of flying bug that was loud, as well as the geckos which I like but there were so many in the room it was loud at night when the made noises. The tv did not work in the room. The only plus side is this place itself as in the street is very pretty, and it’s nice to sit out the front of the bungalow and look at the nature. I saw monkeys pinching sandals and food from outside which was funny to watch, and some strange creatures such as death head hawk moths and different lizards and frogs and such. I’d recommend the place if even they gave it a deep cleaning and purchased decent mattresses or even mattress toppers to smooth them out.

Nice spacy and clean bungallows, but build in the hill so it is not easy for families with small children (need to rent a scooter).

This resort is in a great location; close to many bars, restaurants, 7/11 and the beach. The staff are very friendly. The pool is great too! The bungalow we stayed in was a decent size with air con, fridge and a safe. The majority of it was clean including the bed. However, the bathroom had a few bag worms in the top corners of it, the shower was rather cold and when using it for the first time it completely came off the bracket (which got fixed straight away whilst we were out). The toilet had the worst flush I have ever used, just didn’t work at all. Also, the front door to the bungalow was far too small for the frame, meaning we got geckos, spiders and mosquitoes etc. Overall good value for money but a few minor things in the way.
