La Laanta Hideaway Resort

Lovely hideaway, delicious food, amazing staff, super sweet dogs. A perfect relaxation getaway. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at La Laanta Hideaway. The resort was beautiful, well-kept, and the rooms were charming and unique. You can walk from the pool right onto the beach which feels private given the location. The location is perfect if you're looking for a quiet getaway and primarily plan to stay on the property, but it's not the place for you if you want to walk around to explore, go to restaurants, etc as it's quite far from the town. They do have a few scooters available on a FCFS basis. The food here was great but what takes the cake is the staff - they are the true definition of hospitality; genuine, kind and welcoming. They went above and beyond to help us when we got in a minor scooter accident. Note that it's a ~45 minute transfer from the pier and the roads are quite windy, so a couple of us felt quite ill by the time we arrived. That aside, it is absolutely worth visiting if you get the chance.

I think La Laanta hideaway resort is very honest about what it offers. I think it's a perfect 3 star, hidden resort with all you need for a relaxing, quiet holiday. Don't expect amazing, upgraded rooms but everything you need is here. It's kind of far from other places in Koh Lanta but the resort has its own restaurant, bar, pools and beach front access. It's next to a national park too so there are lots of monkeys and other sea creatures. The staff are very friendly and I really enjoyed our 4 day stay here.

We had such peaceful holidays there, without being surrounded by noisy places. We extended our trip day by day, as for us there was no better deal than this place to rest, train, read and eat

It's definitely a hideaway! If you want to be away from everyone and everything, nailed it! Staying here is remote for Koh Lanta, but it is beautiful once you are in it. The drive in can be deceptive, but it's real and eye-opening. The catch 22, if you're here, you're pretty much only here. You'll eat here, sleep here, swim and do laundry here. You will be paying remote or distance inflated prices, so be warned. If you hope to travel out or get packaged included with pick up and drop off, you may fall outside their range and get stuck. Not and issues for the hotel but a handy tip. Great destination to be away from people. Our AC wasn't great so you might have a warm night.

Really annoyed at myself for not staying here longer. In fact I booked this place for one night because the other place with higher reviews I wanted to stay at for a nice end of our holiday wasn’t available on that night. However La Laanta Hideaway Resort is SO much better. Off the beaten track yes, but totally worth it. 15 second walk to the beach, 2 second walk to the pool, fantastic food including the complimentary breakfast that was customisable and cooked to order.

The chalet was beautiful and we sat outside facing and listening to the sea on our private decking all evening. We rented a car at the beginning of the holiday so it made getting here easy but just a tip - look out for the barrier made out of bamboo - that’s the road you need to turn down.

The mornings was great, walk straight out of bed into the sea and there’s a whole family of cows and monkeys who cross the beach also. Beautiful surroundings and one of the quietest and best beaches.

Stopped in on a tour round island on moped. Spotted this place on the beach went in for a coffee and cold drink. View is amazing from there deck area on the beach. Didnt spend a night here but from what i could see it looked a decent enough place.

ข้อเสีย ทางเข้ามีส่วนเป็นเนินดิน ทางขรุขระบางส่วนแต่พอขับได้ ช่วงที่ไปฝนตกปรอยๆขับได้ กับอยู่ท้ายเกาะเดินทางไปหาดอื่นไกลหน่อยอยู่ติดกะอุทยาน เรามาตามgps ขับกลางคืนก็พอได้อยู่ถ้าขี้เกียจขับเห็นมีรถขับรอบเกาะ

This place is wonderful, no car burit, in the heart of the forest and at the same time on the seafront. A smiling team.the rooms are beautiful and comfortable.for me the most beautiful place on the island. I would come back it's obvious.

We stayed here for four nights. We had a WONDERFUL time. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were super. Tic was attentive and always ready to help. Food was excellent too- one of the joys of this place is that it is far from other restaurants, bars etc (if they were even open!) - so be prepared to travel by bike, taxi or car. Lived this place so much!

A place far away from ko lanta most busy places. Ideal to relax and enjoy the island serenity. A peaceful place, friendly resort staff, and of course, monkeys:) what else can you ask from paradise.
It needs some fixings and some maintenance, but overall, its a wonderful place.

Best hotel stay! Quiet, secluded, perfect beach! Rent a car or motorcycle while staying here, as it’s away from shops and restaurants. Awesome staff!

We loved our time at LaLaanta. Wonderful beach, great staff and great restaurant / bar. A nice getaway from the crowds, a great place to relax and unwind.
