We loved this place! Super delicious food, great atmosphere and the friendliest staff. We had the best Penang we have ever tried and my husband had it every day the last 20 day plus years before that as Thai is his favourite cosine. We recommend this place and definitely will visit again once back here.

Delicious local cuisine and seafood. Very friendly service and the owner is really nice. Had his wife cook a special recipe (not on the menu) for me. Seared King Mackerel with a coconut & peanut sauce.

The owner’s grandfather was a “Sea Gypsy” from Indonesia who settled here. Understandably the seafood is delicious.

Literally gave us two free desserts! Ice cream and deep fried banana.

Can I give more than 5 stars? !

Showed up to excellent service the staff was so nice. The menu selection was amazing with excellent looking seafood, I had the lobster and it was very delicious.

Overrated. The crab was a disappointment as it was basically meatless. We complained about it and were told that’s how crab is.
English is not my first language either but if you want to work with tourists you have to learn some. Saying yes without having understood is not a solution.
Not sure where other people reviewing got this friendly vibe. I (and my partner) felt quite neglected and no one ever asked if we were ok or if our food was ok.
Careful with your choices as fish is kept out of fridge in a tropical climate (my girlfriend felt a bit sick afterwards)
The taste of the food was ok. Nothing remarkable to say about it.

My partner and I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and the beautiful family that runs it. Such incredibly warm, kind people serving up amazingly fresh seafood and Thai cuisine. We had the lobster, squid, tiger prawns, Tom kha soup, curry fish, mango sticky rice. Every single thing was the best I've had it here yet. Their mango sticky rice is off the chains.

The best restaurant we experienced during our travels around Thailand. The staff are very friendly, interested about giving hints about the local area as well as being genuinely interested in the customers. The food is without a doubt the best food we have tried in Thailand. The prices are very very good for the portion sizes and the taste! Very fresh, all hot and presented with a smile. Add this to your to-do list and you will not be disappointed!

It is very upsetting to see how businesses in Thailand are struggling, I do hope visitor numbers start to increase again, and this wonderful restaurant is still serving such incredible food when we next visit: D

This is the best meal my family had at Ko Lanta. They are open daily even though it's low season.
Seafood is very fresh, and chef cooks it to a style of your choosing. My kids enjoyed the meal very much, also with the company of 2 friendly cats.

This is family run restaurant. Food taste so good and sea food are very fresh and price reasonable. We had our dinner continuously for 3 nights at L Maladee and a lunch before we left Koh Lanta. Ms ‘Mu’ (restaurant’s owner daughter) can speak quite well english so we don’t have any misunderstandings on what we want to order.

Wir hatten vorab eine Tom Yum Gung Suppe und anschließend frischen Fisch mit Lemon- und Chillisauce Einfach köstlich, aber viel zu viel. Wir sind jetzt den 3. Monat in Thailand und haben stets gut, aber selten so gut gegessen

We have been almost everywhere for around 2 weeks on Lanta now. Unfortunately we just found L. Maladee during the last days. They have THE best food here. Just one hint - when you come here, have the owner recommend you what to eat off the menu. Fantastic food but see/try it for yourself.

Beautiful family run restaurant. Food was sensational. We had the fish of day with curry sauce, morning glory and fried rice. Service was very friendly. Highly recommend!
