Krabi bus terminal

Taxi drivers will hound you when you arrive and try to charge you a ridiculous amount of money for where you are going. Highly recommend just getting a Grab which you know is reasonably priced and safer to track where you are going. The be fair though this is my advice almost everywhere that Grab is available.

Also be careful of all the dogs around here, they stray, extremely vicious and will try to attack you if you get too close. My apologies to the lovely Thai lady who’s restaurant table I jumped up on to get away from them in a effect to not get ripped to sheds.

Taxi drivers will try to scam you with all tricks. They will act like they will go, then all of a sudden at the exit you have to pay double or wait until their car is full.

Get a Grab if you can. Seriously.

I visited this place twice, both time I reached here in the afternoon. It was not crowded. This clean terminal and staff is also helpful. Bus terminal infrastructure is good and one can easily locate the expected bus platform since there are boards has English language as well so you don't need to struggle to locate the bus platform.

For each location (city) this terminal has separate ticket counters. You can easily book local taxi or book using grab application.

Central place to get buses/mini vans everywhere in Thailand or to connect. Staff are more than helpful in finding correct bus and bus type you require.

Bus to surit Thani was almost 4 hours. So if your told 4.5 hours to Koh samui is a lie. Plus transfer is not simple, so if your luggage is a pain, transfer will be too. It's another 2.5 hours to Koh samui from the surit Thani town.

We were attended by this lady in a horrible way. They sold us a ticket to Surat Thani but not the next one but the one in 2 hours. When we tried to ask for a refund, she stopped talking to us, ignored us and then yelled at us so we would leave. We ended up losing the money of those tickets and bought with another company.
Very disappointing and sad experience.
Would advise against buying with them

Unfriendly staff directed me curtly just saying "Wait 33" (sic) Besides the lack of basic information provided, which might be due to language issues, it would be good to keep in mind that a smile doesn't hurt. Or a kind tone of voice.
