Kohinoor Indian Restaurant & Pizza reviews
47Absolutely fantastic! I was in Railay for 4 days and ate here 4 times. In a sea of mediocrity at Railay, this is a gem. Their garlic chicken kebabs with mint / coriander sauce is actually the best I’ve had. On our last night, the table beside us also mentioned that it was their 4th time as well. Service is great and the owner is especially fantastic. I’ll miss this place on the travels!
Delicious! Mango lassis we’re out of this world - made with fresh mango. Palak paneer and chicken tikka masala were some of the best we ever had. Kids loved it too
Loved this place! Authentic tasty Indian food and lots of choice
Really loved my garlic cheese naan and paneer curry and Dhaal
Lovely Indian food, as good as most places in London if not better. Service is excellent too. The vegetables pakora was a bit average, but everything else we had was delicious, including aloo gobi and yellow daal. Salt lassi was good for the dehydration too. Owner works the shop floor too, which is nice to see, checking everything is fine.
Very tasty indian food, not so cheap but every thing was really good, the veg swt menu is good value though, recommended!
Excellent food, really friendly staff, very reasonably priced. All the food was delicious. Particularly recommend the daal!
From all the places we have eaten in Railay this is by far the best one. Of course it is Indian and not typical Thai, but from a taste perspective it was just the best place and the owner was also super friendly. And after a month in Thailand we loved to eat some Indian food:) We went there 2 times and always had a great time talking with the owner. We even forgot our money once and he was okey with us bringing it the next day, so awesome service:)
Very tasty indian food! It's a little bit more expensive than getting thai noodles but it's totally worth it if you're craving something different.
Excellent! I loved everything about it. Great service, great curries, great breads, great price. Do not worry about leaving hungry, the portions are large. Aloo paratha, garlic Naan, chana masala, and butter chicken were all top quality dishes.
Exceptional Dahl and even a delicious pizza. There is really something here for everyone and the food and service is outstanding. Really recommend!
An outstanding restaurant with outstanding food and staff.
Being from the UK where we have an abundance of Indian restaurants, I am very particular about Indian food. Needless to say, I was not disappointed at all. I visited the restaurant multiple times during my stay on Railay Beach; each time I ordered something different and was always stunned by how flavoursome the dishes were. In particular, the mutter paneer and prawn tikka are to die for. The portion sizes were great, the food came out in aesthetic dishes and presentation was lovely.
The staff are incredibly attentive and are able to suggest an appropriate spice level to suit your taste. This is often not the case in Indian restaurants and so this is a lovely touch.
The restaurant even serves an array of international dishes, so even if Indian isn’t your thing, your tastes will be catered for.
A brilliant jewel on Railay beach.
Outstanding and authentic Indian food. We ended up eating there three nights in a row. The owner is a very friendly and charming man who gave us complimentary pappodums. All his staff are very friendly and highly attentive.
We were going to come back a fourth night but there was an accommodation mix up. Best restaurant in railay
We stayed in Railey two years ago and loved this place the most. We came back two years later and it is still the best Indian food we’ve ever tried. This place is a must at Railey.
“10 Stars! ” as proclaimed emphatically by my daughter! Must try the Pani Puri when it’s available on the weekends! Don’t be afraid to ask for less spicy if you have children and they will def cater to requests. Owner knows what he’s doing and takes care of every guest! Drop by this place when you need a break from the Thai cuisine ;)
This was hands down our favorite restaurant in Railay. Mutton Samosas, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Chicken, Mutton Kebabs all amazing. Everyone around also seemed to thoroughly enjoy their choices. Cheers!
The best restaurant in Railay - ate here twice in 4 nights. Owner is so friendly and the food is top quality, puts English curries to shame. Loads of great veggie options and about 12 fans in there when too hot. Highly recommend
Its the only place for your Indian food cravings in Railay. That doesnt mean that you have to compromise on taste. The taste and service is as good as it gets.
It is located perfectly in the walking street.
The server there is also very polite and makes a nice friendly conversation.
Food is absolutely delicious but the prices are quite high and you have to pay extra for even one small serving of rice. My mint sauce was $3 for a tiny dish. It was good but too expensive considering the food prices in the surrounding area.
Kohinoor is on a different level of deliciousness. If you love Indian food and you’re into heat.get ready. My wife and I ate at a michelin Star in Bangkok. It was wonderful, but the flavor at Kohinoor is life changing. Clean, spicy, beautiful food with a wonderful staff!
Delicious Naans (we had garlic and cheese Naan) and the curries tasted very authentic! The service is very welcoming and friendly despite the whole of Krabi experiencing a total power black out. You get good value for the price of main dishes here! Will not disappoint!
