We had a little accident when on the island. The entire staff was extremely helpful with getting us onto the shore and into the hospital. Upon returning, they provided us with better room with easier access without any extra charges. The resort is beautiful, but I cannot be more thankful to the people working there. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Friendly pretty good english speaking staff!
- coral reef at your own private beach! Free snorkling equipment at reception
- wild nature! First day we almost ran into a 3 meter komodo dragon, saw a cobra in the bushes and later a very poisonous seasnake were inside the hotel! Very exotic hotel, jungle is in the backyard!

Hotel is slighty worn down, but everything works.
No tv in room, thats okay in this pristine location, but no refriguator as well and that could be a perfect upgrade to the room.

Wifi only at restaurant and 4g Internet is quite slow here, but it gives a nice atmosphere like back in the old days.

Food is good in restaurant if you stick to local dishes, drinks are not good, but next hotel Tanya Resort had the best mojito ive ever had, and i have had alot! Alrough their special cocktails were amazing!
Finally the trip to next hotel/beach/anything other than this hotel is a jungle road 10 minutes long in a quite difficult terrain! Or swimming:)
We thought it was fun but people with anything dissability that makes it difficult or impossible to walk in tough terrain are stuck in this hotel:)

Totally exotic, relaxing, non-touristed location

Worst service ever though, total chaos when getting off the Island and i think my boat sailed without me even though i was on the pier.
Then they are lying saying its on the main beach picking people up, then a boat arrives and takes iff again and they now say it need to pick someone up, then its coming for me. 1,5 hours too late and still no boat.
You cant trust anything they say.

Terrible experience! Located on an independent beach, you have to take a long-tail boat to go to the beach next door! You need to pay 100 baht once! All their rooms have no Wi-Fi or communication network! You can't make phone calls, and Wi-Fi is only available in public areas. This means you have to endure mosquito bites and hot temperatures to get online!

Our family of 5 stayed at Koh Ngai Resort for 4 nights. We enjoyed it tremendously. The location was perfect for snorkeling and kayaking. The resort provided the masks for free as well as kayaks. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was buffet, and offered variety of foods including fresh fruits everyday. We booked two rooms that had a direct view of the pool and the beach. Our kids (10-15) loved the convenience of having the pool and the access to the beach at the same. Highly recommend this resort.

Visited as part of a g adventures holiday, dreamy setting, warm sea, sandy shores, no cars, tranquility, get the picture?

Overall the place is quite good and the restaurant is decent too but the staff is not flexible at all. I asked for late check out due to online meeting and first they said it’s impossible and then they decided to allow it but charge me more. Come on, we just wanted to stay 2 hours longer and besides us there were no other guests.

Just what we wanted: a warm welcome in a quiet and beautiful place, it feels like a private beach at the end of the island (15 to 20 minutes walk through the forest or along the sea rocky path to the long beach with stand offfish hotels and crowds.) Here life is simple and good. Food is delicious and the staff most pleasant. The rooms are simple, very clean, with amazing seaviews, comfortable beds and hot strong showers. The snorkeling experience was amazing. We will come back.

AMAZING place to stay. My favourite part of Thailand. For a backpacker this is like heaven. Affordable price through Agoda. Right next to the pier when you get off (but the boats do not disturb you), the restaurant is great and even gives you a discount if you ask for vegetarian! Right on the beach and there’s less people than the other beaches which is nice. Great swimming and awesome snorkelling, free snorkel and kayak as well. Rooms were basic but clean and has everything you need. Free breakfast is nice, nothing fancy again but definitely fills you up. Staff is incredibly nice and organizes transportation wherever you need to go. Definitely would recommend.

This one is a mixed bag of everything. The ferry arrived to the main beach not to this pier (Dec 2019) so we had to call the hotel and get a pretty rough boat (we decided to walk along the cliff with backpacks on our way back - that's how rough it was)
Our room (cheap compared to other on the island) was terrible, dark and painted in that weird greenish colour. We asked for possible upgrades and got beach front cottage (with a bit of discount). It was old but much nicer. The food at the restaurant was same price as everywhere else on the island (a bit overpriced but same everywhere else)
Overall I don't think I would go back to Koh Ngai but if I were this hotel is OK as are some other alone the main beach

Nice beach, clear water but the waste management of this place means throwing all garbage off the cliff. Not recommended.

The cheapest resort in Koh Ngai island. Near the beach.
You can walk to the cliff for seeing sunset view.
Free Kayak for customer.
The room is clean.
Seafood menu is very fresh.
If you never been here. Recommended!

Peaceful resort with wonderful snorkeling with corals and fish outside your door, and with clearblue water and beautiful beach. The resort itself is standard 3 star, but friendly staff, good food, big lizzards walking around makes the stay enjoyabble. I do miss some eco-thinking on resorts like this. Why not use solar heated warmwater, and PV-panels for electricity? The sun is surely there much more often than in Sweden and Swedes are busy putting PV on many houses right now.i would love a Thailand with electricity driven ferries and longboats, and PV for household electricity. And a system for reducing all plastic bottles!

Beautiful place. We were here in the quiet season with 3 ypung kids and the staff were really accommodating. Food was great. Free snorkelling and kayaking.

Fabulous location, superb snorkeling from the beach, great place for a few days.

Internet connection unreliable and food and drinks quite expensive, but everything is brought from the mainland so reasonable to expect a mark up.

We stayed here over new year and we're quite disappointed - we felt that there was very little value for money. Our room was clean, although dated, and our daughter enjoyed the pool, but drinks and food were very expensive, and the main beach is a very steep 20 minute hike away. It's very expensive to take a boat around as well, and in rough sea boats don't go. Koh Ngai in general is a resort island without a local community, so no shops etc. This makes the resort you choose really important.

Dirty, full of animals, very worn down Also, we tried to take a normal boat away from the island and the guy from the hotel told the boat owner not to take us, as they wanted to force us to use their own overpriced boat. So really, avoid this resort AT ALL COST.
