J.Mansion , Aonang Krabi

Booked 2 rooms. 1 for my wife and I, and 1 for my friend.
Waited for 3.5hrs to check in when we arrived. Friend waited for 4.5 hours.
My wife and I were given a twin single room although we booked a double bed room, and my friend was given the double room. We assumed the confusion was between the words double and twin
My friends room air-conditioner didn't work. Informed reception who sent workers to fix. It took them until 630pm to fix the problem.
Comprehension of English language was very poor.
Accessing the hotel was difficult as there is a steep walkway approximately 30-40 metres from main road. Difficult to climb with luggage.
No baggage handlers meant that I had to carry all luggage up to the 4th floor. Steps are greater than regular standard height and greater angle which made climbing the stairs even more difficult.
Went to Cafe across from reception.
I asked for a Iced coffee.
I was served a hot coffee with two cubes of ice in it.
Never again will I return to this hotel. An absolute disgrace.

Great location, a little old but clean. The staff is quite pleasant.
3 minutes walk from the sea.
Possibility to leave your luggage for free the same day after Check out. Very good value for money.

+ The room had a beautiful view of the sea.
+ Facility staff helped me buy tickets for my next trip. In this way, I did not have to go to another port, I did not even have to walk to the nearest port because the company came to the hotel with a transfer vehicle.

The cleanest rooms we have stayed in on our trip around Southeast Asia. Very nice and spacious hotel and the owners are so kind (has been helpful with every request we have had regarding onwards travel, and allowing us to leave our bags and use their shower after checkout time). We ended up staying here 7 nights in total, as the location is also very convenient for going to Railay.

Also worth mentioning: they offer a good deal to Krabi airport with their own taxi staff (400b), at 5 in the morning. Even grab is 50 baht more expensive.

The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are older, no breakfast option, the terrace would like to be modified a little, in the center of Aonang.

Very disappointing. On the plus side, my room was clean. My negatives include:
Reception were not very welcoming;
Room old and in need of refurbishing;
Water flow in shower and hand basin not very strong;
Bottled water not provided;
No drinking glasses;
No kettle or tea/coffee;
Curtains barely closed, and;
Noisy room.

Loved the place. Clean, good rooms, good views. The internet is a little iffy but nea problem really friendly staff. Thanks! We will be back

It's a super family-friendly hotel. Mr. Big, the owner, is a nice person, but the staff are also very helpful. They speak English well. I can only recommend it to everyone. I like that you have to take off your shoes and be barefoot at the reception. The terrace at the top of the hotel is very good, the view is beautiful. It is possible to take all kinds of trips from the hotel, which can be paid for with the staff and they organize everything. The rooms are clean, we received clean sheets and towels every day. The beer and breakfast are delicious. I was perfectly satisfied with everything. Oh, and the location of the hotel is also good, everything is close. Come and try it yourself!

I'm so sorry to leave a bad review of this place because it looks really nice but my experience was quite negative.
I had ants in my room and when I complained asking for a different room I was told that those ants are not dangerous just a little itchy so not to worry. Problem is ants were going everywhere including into the bed. I insisted to have a different room even without air conditioning but they wouldn't accommodate my request even though they had other rooms available. Hence I left. In addition to this major problem the shower tap was defective, I could not really close the water and it kept leaking the whole night. Ultimately, despite having selected double bed and not twin bed on my reservation they gave me a twin saying they only have twin rooms

I visited on 23rd August, 2022. My observation:

PROS:
- Perfect location and a budget hotel. Just 1 min walk from famous au nang beach ️.
- Nice and mannered host. Knows English and very happy to help.
- Rooms are very neat and clean. You can also hangout in the reception area too.
- Hotel also had tour packages. Breakfast packages available at 99/199 BHT.
- The owner had 2 cute cats.
- You can request early check-in or late check-out and they may allow you as per availability.
- Ample parking for 2 wheeler.

CONS:
- Hotel basic amenities like toiletries and drinking water weren't present in the room. Need to request the reception thereafter it is provided which was inconvenient.
- The reception area is closed after 8 pm. If you need drinking water you need to take it before 8 pm because that's where the water is kept. Same goes for check in and check out. One star less for that.
- Connecting Wifi is a cumbersome task.

I had two experiences with the accommodation, the first time it was ok. But on my second the receptionist was rude and offensive. I do not recommend this place, I had to call Booking to be able to cancel and look for another accommodation.

Good location, many restaurants around, friendly staff and pretty convenient bus ride to airport

Very bad shower, not nice place, no curtle, hot water available outside room hotel/building at limited time. Stairs too steep. No complementary mineral water. Pillow only 2 provided for double bedroom. Receptionist/hotel housekeeper available at limited time and not friendly.

You can do better for that price. The staff is not friendly at ALL! So don't expect kind and good service specially from the manager. She make you feel like trash after you check out. The room was clean but the restroom had croach. The walls were dirty they should paint it. The smell of humid is very strong. The room looks old and the balcony it's not nice to enjoy. Definitely you can do better. It's good location but still overpriced and bad service.

J Mansion is located in very good place. Its very close to beach but not on main road. It was very quiet for whole our staying there. Stuff was very friendly and they also clean your room every day.
For the price we paid i think it was best place to stay.
Also you have very good restaurant (Tandoori) 45 m from J Mansion and 30 m is to motorbike rent.
So if I will visit Ao nang again i will definitely choose this place again.
And you can also go on roof and have nice view.

Love this place will be back when I am in Krabi for sure. Great location close to the beach and entertainment district. Great shopping and food just down the street. They also have a pretty good American breakfast. Price is also good rooms are also large and clean not the newest but well worth the stay
