Amazing!
A beautiful cosy restaurant with a French owner and a Thai chef. You can enjoy both Thai and French cuisine accompanied by a big collection of quality wine, beer and cocktails. The service is really personal and welcoming. The food quality is excellent. The real gem in the area!
I loved my Lamb Shank, Bœuf Bourguignon, French cheese plate — all like in France. As well as French red house wine and Caipirinia. I definitely recommend this place.

I should've seen the warning signs earlier, namely the many hyperbolic reviews from mainly Europeans rejoicing at the presence of French cuisine in Thailand. We went for Christmas day but left feeling decidedly underwhelmed. The Christmas set menu was pricey even for Western wallets, but given our Xmas day turkey dinner tradition we acquiesced. It was fine but the turkey came with absolutely no vegetables or trimmings besides dauphinoise potatoes, and they did not stock cranberry sauce. On ordering, a needless fuss was made about one of us having the set menu and the other having a single main - not sure why it required comment from the French proprietor as it is quite simple to time both mains to come out together, but it just made us feel awkward and unwelcome. The weirdest interaction was when I asked a waitress for a paper napkin (I actually can't believe I'm writing this, but you really couldn't make this up). Now, given that they had wrapped our carafe of wine with a paper napkin, you'd be forgiven for assuming this was in stock, wouldn't you? She heard my request, went away and stood motionless by the counter, like a vacant statue. I thought she didn't understand, so I asked a second waitress over and repeated the same process. She said they didn't have any napkins (? !) and I should go to the toilet to use their toilet roll instead, and when I asked how that could be possible, pointing at the carafe on our table, she then went and had a long discussion with the proprietor and managed to magic a napkin up. It's hard to understand what on earth was going on there, given that napkins are so cheap and the price point of this restaurant so dear, but this bizarre hospitality was quite unexpected and I couldn't wait to leave.

Gecko is owned by a friendly Frenchman and his wife, who cook delicious thai cuisine. It was a quiet period in Krabi town and we pop by for an enjoyable dinner which he gave exceptional recommendations.

One of the best restaurants we have been to in Thailand.
Incredibly good food, my personal recommendation is the lamb in masaman curry.
It is an upscale restaurant, so it is correspondingly expensive for Thailand.
Good Belgian beer and a very tasty dessert menu complete the meal.
If you want to spend a nice evening, you should pay a visit to the restaurant.

You should absolutely try this restaurant mid-french/mid-thai food with an attentive and warm service. We recommend the lamb and the Thai sea bass with the daily tart! Unforgettable!

Me and my wife fully enjoyed all the food. It was absolutely worth coming here from the Aonang beach to enjoy real Thai food.
Chef seems to have her pride in the food, and after tasting it we fully respected it.

A must go if visiting Krabi downtown. When I think about my trip to Thailand, this restaurant was definitely a highlight. The food was absolutely delicious and rich in flavour, and the service excellent. A special thank you to the owner who kindly suggested his best dishes. Will definitely recommend it to everyone and go back again if I come to Krabi again!

The most tasty restaurant in krabi town, flavored thai food with out MSG touch, cooked in time with scale for spiciness 1 to 10, nice shake and super cocktail, Mojito Thai. We will back for sure.

We had Panang Curry and Prawn Pad Thai. The food was okay but not special compared to other places in the area. The waiting time was above average (around 1h) and the pineapple that was used for our drinks didn't taste fresh. After informing the staff, the owner and his wife apologized personally and we weren't charged for it, what was really nice.

Great and super tasty food. You should try the fresh fish with Ratatouille and Salat. But everything else is also perfect quality. Nice and caring owner.

We had dinner here two weeks ago and I'm still thinking about the Pad Thai and Thai Green Curry we had. Still can't believe how inexpensive it was for what we got and in such a lovely setting. Wish I could go back!

I’ve spent the majority of the last 3 years in Thailand, and this was probably both the most expensive and worst meal I’ve had to date. Do not order the 1kg tiger crabs unless you crave bland flavor. Even the Thai papaya salad was flavorless.

Very good food! We ordered a lot so we definitely give a good review of the menu. The seabass with basil was the winner. The pad Thai and the fried rices were really good. I strongly recommend this place

Pretty good place. Fantastic cocktails (best I had in Thailand so far). Totally worth trying. Food was okayish but quite overpriced as the taste was just so-so. Nothing you couldn't make at home or find at an average oriental bar in an European mall.

I took it upon my self to try and find the best food in Thailand for the last month. Drove all of over phuket and krabi eating 4 meals a day and the massaman chicken curry at this place was by far the best meal I had in this country so far.

The sea bass, spiced with lemongrass, chilli and garlic, was probably the best I've ever eaten, and I've eaten many!

Fabulous khao pad sapporot (pineapple seafood fried rice) and sea bass, definitely gonna miss these!
