Fruit Tree Lodge & Coffee Shop reviews
13We’ve booked for 4 nights. On the first day we arrived we were a bit confusing because we can’t find the sign but we managed to find the entrance where you can park the motorbike. The room is big and clean, the fan was super old and can’t lock (because we want to get the fan to point straight to us as it was extremely hot on our first day). I gave 2 stars because since our first day, we had a problem with the shower, water supply was stopped and after 2-3 minutes it was coming back again. I called the owner (as he wasn’t in Koh Lanta by that time) so after I informed him, it looks like he’s already acknowledged the issue and told us that someone will come to fix it and it won’t happen again. After we have been informed that water supply have been fixed. We showered again in the night time and it’s still happening, this time we have to wait for so long and I was in the middle of washing my hair …: (it was quite late and I didn’t wanna interrupt the owner so I just texted him to let him know. However, I didn’t get any responded and again, we had problem every time we’re using shower or water or even when I wanna use toilet … many time we have to wait 10-20 minutes for water to come back. I would say, overall the hotel room is nice, big & clean room. But if you have an issue with water supply I think you should pay more attention to fix it not just tell us to wait, that kind of disappointed and it didn’t help to fix anything.
If you love living and sleeping surrounded by palms and banana trees also close to the beach, then this is a lovely accommodation. We've stayed here for 17 nights (we work and travel). The owner speaks English and French and has a lovely vibe and a wonderful energy also he's funny. We slept for the first 2 nights (we were testing) and we loved it so we booked for another 2 weeks. One perk by changing the tree house is that in the second one had some ant invasion in the bathroom:) and we announce and immediately he took care of. But nature is nature, you must expect ants, gecko's, mosquitoes. One thing that bothered me was the chickens for the neighbours:) the roosters screams (crows) every morning around 4 am or 5 am:) it's funny but if you stay as long as us, it's getting annoying. Other than that we negotiated for the price for so many nights and the owner gave a discount. Overall we loved it as it was also like 5 mins from the beach. Left a pic with the rooster too:)
Sadly the coffee shop is not currently there, but we had a great stay in the lodge. Owner was super friendly, helpful with suggestions for where to go, spoke good english, and instantly responsive via WhatsApp. The lodge area has lush vegetation everywhere and is really beautiful! Rooms are fairly basic of course but have everything you need and everything works like it should. It is great value for the price!
My no1 coffee shop in lanta. I loved their avo toast either avo sandwich. It was very tasty and I recommend it. Also, they have the best chocolate cheesecakes for 130 bath I ate in Asia so far …and I’ve tied lots of them. Highly recommended!
I didn’t like it… I LOVED IT!
Literally all I need to say. Just make sure you come here to experience the best coffee and HOMEMADE food on the island
A nicely furnished café with a good breakfast menu.
Very good coffee specialities, delicious cakes and sandwiches.
Absolutely recommendable is the homemade ice cream - favourite passion fruit
Bamon is so passionate about his food and it is evident in every bite. It's all delicious, home made and prepared fresh. Also the best coffee we have had in Thailand. We've been back three days in a row!
Really delicious food. The smoothies are also really well done. The bread they use is delicious. The brie and bacon sandwich was absolutely delicious. Everyone is also super friendly.
So good home made and healthy food! Perfect for breakfast, lunch or tea time. Home made ice cream, the best in Thailand. Staff really nice. Highly recommended!
I did not stay at the rooms but visited the coffee shop many times. Great atmosphere owned by a great couple with great food. I was on Koh Lanta during the pandemic, for 18 months straight. My favorite coffee was here! Frequently enjoyed the avocado bacon eggs toast, and pancakes with passionfruit. Lots of tasty coffee pairing baked goods and bites as well.
Amazing coffee shop, lots of vegan options. Everything was so clean and tasty. Had to take some naughty cakes home for afternoon tea
What a great place. The salads are gorgeous. And passion fruit cheesecake for dessert! Food heaven
Throughout our stay on Koh Lanta, we visited Bamon at Fruit Tree about 5 times. We absolutely loved it! The coffee and food were delicious and he had so many yummy treats (vegan, gluten free)! Highly recommend as a breakfast, lunch, quick stop in, or reading/journal spot!
