Emerald Muay Thai Gym

The best! I joined Emerald gym for 1 month around December/ January early this year. After a really awful experience at a gym elsewhere (which felt very unsafe and stalkerish) I won’t name, names. I was suggested by my hotel receptionist to try Emerald out. At first I was very guarded given my prior experience and being a solo female it was even more imperative that I was in a safe environment. As soon as I met the owner and tried my first few sessions I was very relaxed. All the teachers are extremely respectful and of solid character. This is actually very rare to find these days. Training and fitness is something I absolutely love but have a lot of difficulty with because of the toxic masculinity which exists in a lot of gyms. Sadly, most men view training grounds as dating grounds. These types of people are not serious athletes or have any passion for their art, which Muay Thai is. The discipline and mental attitude combined with the respect that Muay Thai traditionally stands for is very apparent at Emerald gym. For the first time I actually felt safe and not preyed upon. Rather all the trainers and the majority of students are exemplary men that everyone should learn from. Although a novice at best I really loved my time there so much and can’t wait to go back! Perhaps people may not also realise, Muay Thai can be a form of therapy. I definitely can’t compare to the other students who flew in from Europe to train hardcore everyday for extended periods and compete.but for me it helped me during a very difficult time in my life. It’s true that health is wealth and if you want a safe and natural environment to clear your headspace and sweat it out then this is the place for you! I recommend more ladies to try it out. If anything, I’ve learned some good moves to defend myself if ever the situation arises.

Beautiful environment, good trainers been doing muay thai for over 10 years and this place will definitely suit anyone. Ao Nangs best hidden gym without any pretentiousness.

All the trainers are absolutely amazing, very skillful and do their best to make sure you leave 100% satisfied. The gym itself is set right against a beautiful mountain and equipped with 2 full sized rings and enough bags and equipment for everybody.

I spent a month at Emerald Muay Thai Gym and it was an amazing experience right from the beginning. The trainers are extremely helpful, friendly and make you feel comfortable even if you are a complete newbie like I was.
The location is idyllic and the staff go the extra mile to keep you motivated.
To sum up: Perfect gym in the perfect location. Highly recommended!

Magnifique experience apres 8 jours a Krabi Ao Nang. Juliette et moi avons vraiment aimé.
Les différents Kru et Ajarn Pakda etaient vraiment très bon et très present pour nous. Sans parler de Wielfried Montagne le boss qui est vraiment gentil, et toujours en forme ;) je recommande ce camp et surtout niveau localisation AO NANG est vraiment bien placé.

I have to say that this Muay Thai gym is very good. The trainers really takes the time to show you different techniques and to tell you what you are doing wrong. This was not the case at the other gym that I trained at. Really good vibes and positive energy. My wife and I really enjoyed our training at Emerald Gym.
