Deep House Seaview

The view is really fantastic. Saw loads of sea eagles, mud skippers and other wildlife. Be careful not to drop stuff through the floor into the sea as I did with my moped keys. Located close enough to old town to walk. The owner is very good at helping organising tours etc.

We had a lovely stay at Deep House Seaview. The view is gorgeous. Best to book the room on the corner for the optimum view. A bottle of water each was provided, would've been better if this was put in the fridge for guests. Would have been nice to be able to close the door to our area - this often got blown open by the breeze. The long tail boat tour was amazing, I would recommend you do it if staying here.

Fabulous location. Lovely hostess. Like a little fisherman's hut but with air con. A must stay.

Wow, this place is amazing, you have to stay for at least one night when you travel to Koh Lanta. Sareena the host and her family are friendly and kind.
The rooms were entered via a traditional one storey house and then out along a bamboo walkway over the tidal sea/mudflats. The bedroom itself was fully enclosed with aircon & a fan. With large patio doors that look out over a bamboo patio/terrace with cushions & hammock to the sea. It's on stilts, so when the tide comes in, you can sit and watch the fish, and when it's out, the mud fish are equally entertaining. Great for a spot of bird watching too. I left the curtains open all night so that I could watch the sun rise over the bay.beautiful!
There is a private kitchen area with fridge, kettle, mugs, and a private shower (hot) room. The large bed was really comfy, towels were also provided.
During the day we listened to the call to prayer, which was really atmospheric. At 5am ish it does happen again, but it is much quieter, so not an issue if you like to lie in.
It was a privilege to spend a day/night here.

My wife and I decided to spend our wedding anniversary here, and we are so happy we did. Our host, Sunee, and her daughter, were lovely and made sure we had a beutiful stay. The place, which is a bamboo house that has been build (by Sunee's husband) over the water, was magical and offered pinkish/orange sunrises each morning. The accommodation includes a little outside kitchen, a good bathroom with shower, and a hammock, as well as a porch facing the sea with little seats which is perfect for morning mediations or just having a Chang. The room is simple but cosy and has air-conditioning (i.e. It's farang-friendly). You have to enter a shared hallway which takes you to the back where the house is located (we loved this, as it gave us a very local experience).

The little road leading up to their house was always packed with neighbourhood roosters, chickens, cats, dogs (all friendly) as well as some adorable, smily little children. And sometimes you would pass an elderly lady watching the road from her porch, or a shirtless man working hard on his craftsmanship which was building tables. The small community has a serene vibe of simplicity and honesty, which we loved.

We really can't express enough gratitude to Sunee and her family. They have really created a unique little gem for those who want to experience Ko Lanta's Old Town the local way, away from tourists traps etc. We met some amazing Thai families in Old Town and experienced great food. Sunee also runs her own restaurant further down the road into Old Town where she specialised in homemade curries. You must try the one with freshly caught Barracuda! It's amazing.

Sunee and her daughter took us in with the warmth of a relative and we will always be grateful for our stay there. And, since we are lucky enough to live in Thailand now, we will make sure we revisit Deep House soon.

Such a lovely spot. Dreamy bungalow right over the mangrove. I love the outdoor style of the room. Kitchen/hammock/bathroom are outside giving it a real treehouse feel. Hosts are super friendly and kind too. It’s on the quiet side of the island, and everything is extra quiet these days, but it’s surely a tranquil place to relax.

Honestly the most amazing place we've stayed in all of Thailand. The property itself is so comfortable. It had just amazing views and one of the comfiest beds. It's just a short walk from the town and the hosts are so nice. They even made us a delicious home cooked meal. Would stay again in a heartbeat

Very relaxing place. The air condtioned bungalow over the sea surrounded by the mangrove. The bedroom is small but well organized and decorated with the separated bathroom. Everything is simple but clean and functional. In the early morning with low tide, we can observe crabs and birds like pita and woodpeckers. We enjoy each moment of the day with different level of the sea and sunlight.

Best stay I had in 5 countries in 45 days! What a bargain for a wonderful setting. It was surreal.

Truly special place, probably one of the most special places I have stayed so far.ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway or generally people who enjoy nature and simple but comfy living.

If you ever visit Koh Lanta and looking for a place to stay. Do check out Deep House Sea View located at Lanta Old Town on the east coast of Koh Lanta. The rooms are built above the swamp which leads out to the ocean (*note: only 2 rooms are with sea view whereas the rest are garden view). Clean room and toilet/bathroom. View from the room is fantastic. The hospitality and service of the hosts far exceed any other 5-star hotels and resorts. Truly genuine and full of warmth. Look out for their welcome drink at their restaurant (Sunee Restaurant). Bike rental is also available or just ask what they have to offer on/off the island. Great conversation guaranteed. Don't forget to say hi to Sunee/Sareena's grandma who loves to chillout at their restaurant. Thank you for the nice touch of giving us complimentary local kueh breakfast on our 3rd day. We will definitely stay with them again.

This place is heaven. Amazing feeling to live I right within the mangroves. They give shade and the water looks beautiful.
You can sit on your private terrace for hours and watch the water and the sun and the animals.
The bungalow is made of wood and Bamboo mats. You immediately get the feeling of being one with nature!
The technical equipment is clean and sufficient. It even has air conditioning!
I have seen a lot of fish and sea eagles and black butterflies and a lot more.
It is a romantical and magical place which I recommend especially to couples, but also to every backpacker or nature enthusiast.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I recommend a restaurant that belongs to the family: sunee's place. She can cook! Better than the restaurants on the seaside!

Nice and homely bungalows made of bamboo on the sea, among the mangroves, in the east side of the isle (you can spot the sunrise), in the Lanta Old Town. Here the sea is not good to swim; for this you need to go on the west side, where most of the beaches are located. It’s possible to rent motorbikes (suggested) or to book some tour (like the 4 island tour, which starts from the close pier). Clean rooms. Hammocks. Coffee and boiler included. Kind and helpful staff. The guest has a restaurant too, also for breakfast, 5 minute by walk from the homestay. In the end it’s actually not a luxury place, but it’s very nice, simple and relaxing.
