Coco's Guesthouse reviews
33We had bedbugs after staying there so we asked for refund but the girl in the reception started being rude and unpleasant. Don’t waste your money on this disgusting place.
Very bad service. Girl in the reception is not friendly. Room was very hot and tiny. I would not suggest this place to anyone.
I'm getting old.
We rented it for a two-day trip to the island and stayed one night.
Music from the beach and active student neighbors disturb sleep.
The hosts are friendly.
So for this money for one night a wonderful choice
Room stank with a moldy odor. Not so clean. Too pricey for what you get to be honest.
There also was a huge scolopendre hidden behind the fan so be careful. There aren’t dangerous but their size is impressive and disgusting. The WiFi did not work. They don’t have a mini fridge.
You can definitely find better.
Clean room, a bit small.
The aircon works very good.
Staffs very helpful and friendly.
A bit far from the pier and main area, like 5 -7 min walk. But it is also good because at night is a quite area…
Depending in what you what can be a good place to stay.
Lovely staff. It's perfect for anyone on budget. It's bed to sleep in after a good night and you get a nice fresh cool shower. Anyone leaving a bad review here needs to review how much they paid for the room which was less £10 a night.
Perfect for low budget travelers? , the room is clean, aircon and showers working perfectly
I booked this place through Expedia. It said it has AC in the room and all there was was a fan. The bed was a spring mattress and overall was just a bad experience.
The location is ok, you have some peace at night if you want that.the rooms are very narrow, there is little storage space.the bathroom is ok, the shower has enough water. Unfortunately, it often stinks of feces in the area in general
Had the most scary experience with this accomodation, one of the male workers literally nearly got into a fight with me (one of four 21 year old girls) who was staying in one of their rooms just because we were making some noise at 11.30pm. The man wouldn’t leave us alone and kept yelling at us, he didn’t speak good English and I kept trying to apologise but he wasn’t having it. I had to stand in front of the door to make sure he wouldn’t come into our room. He came directly up to my face and pointed his finger right at my face. He even followed us down to the beach, literally stalking us. When we finally got inside we barricaded the door with the dresser. Highly recommend you don’t stay here, it was genuinely the most unsafe we’ve ever felt, especially since the location was in a corner pretty blocked off from anyone else. As we were all girls, I think we were lucky nothing happened, I honestly think the only reason I didn’t get bashed was because we met these two guys and asked them to walk us home. Oh and the toilet was blocked.
The room was damp, smelly, moldy, they provide bedding and towels which are worn, but the worst was the smell in the room, the staff is very slow and impolite, they took ages to check in and check out us, with very unpleasant attitude, also their deposit for the key is ridiculous. Wi-Fi isn’t working at all and few times didn’t have water in a shower. The bed is super inconvenient with lumps and the constant noice from others rooms and outside. It was impossible to sleep for 3 days straight. It was the worst stay of my life.
You get for what you pay for.
Phi Phi don is an expensive Thai island, and Coco's guesthouse was the cheapest stay.
Our main concern was the water. It was super dirty and even through our filtered water bottles it made us terribly sick. We spoke to another couple who has the exact same experience from the water.
The staff did help us after they saw how sick we were, and changed us to an air con room for a small additional fee.
Be very careful with the water here!
800 meter walk from the pier. Good, helpful people. All trips can be booked from them. Not much included in your stay, but it's comfortable. Would have liked a safe in the room. Cold showers was a new thing for us though. Especially in December when it's cooler.
Really really really bad, they even don't want to talk to guests when they just arrive there although we are very friendly and polite
Awesome place to stay 1200thb per night, clean and perfect room with ac.nice and helpfull staff:)
Beautiful & super clean guest house very near to the pier and beach. Friendly people who made our stay wonderful. Enjoyed the complementary & welcome drinks.
Room is not that good but its OK compared with other hotels in phi phi.but yhe location is very near to beach party place.
The host of this hotel is absolutely amazing any problems she can help you. So nice and sweet and made our time in phi phi so great. She can also help with booking day trips and give you the best prices on the island
Pretty nice place to stay - we got an aircon room and it was clean and comfortable. Far enough away you won’t hear the music at night but close enough to walk to town within five minutes. Would definitely recommend this place if you don’t want to stay right in the heart of all the action, but still want to get there quickly.
Rooms are so dark even at midday and nothing like the pictures advertised.
Shower is a joke, no pressure at all, so hard to rinse the shampoo off.
Booked a double room and got only one water bottle.
