Chaw Ka Cher Tropicana Lanta Resort

What a desappointment.
Smell of sewage, lukewarm water, close to the noisy road, unpleasant staff, no blackout curtains in the rooms, questionable swimming pool.
Very good on paper but in reality a horror.
Go on your way.

Trash smells throughout the resort.
Thin curtains not blackout.
Outdoor bathroom with unusable bathtub (cold water, small trickle of cold water) and bad smells.
Stagnant water everywhere around the bungalows.
Unpleasant breakfast (traffic noise).
Terrible staff (extremely rare in Thailand).
Danger of traffic in front of the hotel, the road to cross is very dangerous to get to the beach. No restaurant nearby, plan to rent a scooter (the hotel restaurant closes at 4 p.m.).
Nothing good here, move on.

Rude staff.
Dirty bungalows, thin curtains, impossible to sleep in the morning.
On a busy road, it's noisy.
The swimming pool is indoor, the water is cloudy, few deckchairs.
Outdoor bathroom that smells bad.
Everything is there to make you hate your vacation.
Go your way, run away!

We had a very bad experience at this hotel.
On paper, and reading the reviews, we were confident when we booked for 7 nights.
A sewage smell was persistent on the terrace and in the outside bathroom.
The bathroom had very little hot water.
Please note that the toilet is outside.
The curtains are not blackout and the glass door to the outside bathroom has no curtains.
Early wake-up call guaranteed.
Mediocre breakfast due to its environment, lack of decor, busy road and cuisine.
I strongly advise against this hotel.

We had a great stay at Tropicana! The surrounding environment is amazing and very chilling. The outdoor shower was the highlight! Good breakfast and friendly staff. Would recommend it.

Cozy, green and simply beautiful - this place provided me with the best resort stay so far and I truly loved it! It’s very quite and lovely arranged in a tropical garden style. Open air bathroom was a big highlight! Houses are well equipped, staff is very nice and friendly, and what struck me the most was the wonderful cleanliness of every area. I was a bit scared of coming here as I am afraid of bugs and insects, yet during my 5-day stay, I havent’t seen even a single ant! It’s close to the beach and will serve well as a good location for further exploration of the island. I truly recommend staying here while visiting Koh Lanta!

This place has been wonderful to stay in, clean, cozy and reserved enough to enjoy the calm evenings or a dive in the pool. At the reception Muay has been most wonderful, always with great humor and very caring. Will return for sure.

Peaceful, nice, clean and cosy. Very nice staff. Perfect choise for our little family. Easy to shuttle to all the nice beaches by tuktuk or moped. Definitely highly recommended!

Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for 5 days in a two bedroom villa. Hotel and rooms are very clean, amazing gardens around the property. The open-air bathrooms are a neat feature, beds were comfortable. The owner was lovely, providing excellent service and helping us organize trips.

Book your room now:)! My boyfriend and I stayed only for one night because our plans didnt allow for more, otherwise we would have stayed longer. From the minute we walked in we felt totally welcome. The staff is so friendly and will make sure you have a great stay. The pool is really nice and situated between lots and lots of plants and trees so it gives a real junglely vibe. The rooms are clean, beds are soft, AC is quiet and the outdoor shower is also really nice. Also the gym is well equipped (and has a good working AC which is so important ;).

Nearest Beach, restaurants and bars are at five or ten minutes walking distance. You can also rent a scooter or motorbike, then it's super close.

Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay at this resort. The property is beautiful and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Upon our departure they came out to see us off and waved goodbye. Felt just like family! I would definitely stay here again!

This place is AMAZING. The price, so worth it for what you get. The staff go above and beyond and are so friendly and attentive. The grounds are always clean and very well kept. You can rent a motorbike for cheap, the location is central and not far from anything you would need or want. We will definitely be returning, such a wonderful stay, thank you Tropicana Lanta!

This resort and the manager, Muay absolutely deserve full 5 stars. I'd like to say that she might be one of the best kinds of managers we want to meet at every accommodation. She responses to the most of our requests with the clarity and positive energy. Each rooms are surrounded with the greens and the room is cozy and spacious, our bed is big enough for two and there's even an option about the pillow if you don't like the ones on the bed they set already. The bathroom is pretty unique. A quarter of ceiling is open, you can see the sky day and night. Looking up the stars and birds on the trees over the wall is a lovely bonus. The swimming pool is clean and the deepest is 1.5m. Jacuzzi works well. The breakfast is completely fresh and satisfying. We stayed 5 nights and I think we were lucky to stay here.

Very beautiful hotel which is perfectly located! You can reach lots of different beaches, shops, bars and restaurants in a few minutes

We were greeted at reception by some very lovely professional women, they were so friendly, before taking us to our bungalow she got us a map! Showed us where we were located and then told us how to get around the island and how much we should be paying on the Tucs! We got taken to out gorgeous little bungalow with out door bathroom (amazing touch) very clean rooms with attention to detail all huddled away between bushes and palms and jungle flowers it’s like avatar! AMAZING
BREAKFAST! Is the best we have been given in the last 3 weeks travelling around Thailand! Such a huge fresh selection, real good quality juices and fruit and huge selection of hot!

KOH LANTA. Has took our heart! WOW WOW WOW- the most beautiful island- everything with in easy reach aethers your going north or south - 20 min walk south to “FREEDOM” beach bar which blew us away also! (First time thai travelers and were very impressed)

Just finished my 3 night stay and I am so happy to have selected Chaw Ka Cher. Everything was as described but better: did receive a room upgrade, Muay (from reception) was very supportive and friendly supporting all special asks and recommened where to go and explore Koh Lanta. Many thanks Muay you made a big positive impact to my stay. 5* recommendation.

The resort is close to the long beach. Villas are comfortable with open bathrooms. The resort has a jungle feel which is unique. Hotel staff is polite and very helpful. They even arranged for vegan food on request. Would like to stay here again.

Nice hotel clean room and staff good take care but breakfast have too be better whith bacon then everything perfect. I'm coming back next year
