Chao Fah Park Pier

150 Baht per person or 1200 Baht (8 passengers x 150 Baht) for entire boat between Krabi Town and Railay East (not Railay West).

From airport to the pier at Krabi Town it costs 350 Baht fixed cab price.

Beware cab driver might say the pier at Krabi Town does not work and try to convince you to go to further away Ao Nang, which costs almost double the cab fare.

I walked when the sun was setting, and the road around the river is well laid out, so it would be good for walking and exercising. I had drinks and roti along the way, and when the night market opened, I tried skewers and night market menus. The food was delicious and it was quiet. I highly recommend it

It is a marina and park located at the mouth of Mae Nam Krabi (Krabi River).
It is also a place to go to Phi Phi Island, the most famous tourist point in the Krabi region.
However, more than that, it is the point where the river and the sea meet, and the scenery is beautiful, and the small statues and parks around it are very worth seeing.
It is a place where locals and tourists flock on weekends, mornings and evenings, and it is not far from the night market.
There are street stalls, but there is also a wood-fired restaurant, providing even more things to enjoy.
Many people gather mainly in the cool mornings and evenings, and you can see Chinese people practicing tai chi and Muslims wearing hijabs.
You can also see long-tailed boats (hangyao) that harm the mangrove forests and swim against the river.
You can also see large ships sailing out to sea.
It takes 10 minutes to get there on foot from the city, so walking slowly is also an option.
There are a lot of decent guest houses and restaurants around.
If you prefer scenery over the busy city, it's not a bad idea to stay in Krabi.
There are some good spots for taking pictures and there is also the famous putam (black crab) statue.
The Sea Eagle statue, the symbol of Krabi, is very cool.
Recommended as a suitable place to spend some leisure time.

I used this pier to take a boat to Railay Beach. They want to have enough passengers before they decide to take us. They were charging 150 baht each, and 1200 for a private boat (if you don’t want to wait for more passengers to arrive). 5 of us ended up splitting the cost and paying 1000 baht total.

My suggestion, the earlier you come to wait at the pier, the higher chance you have of other passengers joining so you only pay 150.

Great place to start your ferry journey. We took a hop on hop off boat ticket which cost 30bhat per ride.

Der Ort ist voller Bootsfahrer die einem eine Fahrt andrehen wollen. Einer hat es geschafft und nach der Fahrt promt das 10 fache verlangt. Äußerste Vorsicht und zur Not mit der Touristen Polizei drohen. Leider deprimierendes Ende eines tollen Ausflugs.

ส่วนร้านอาหารที่เราเลือกเราเลือกร้านที่อยู่ตรงข้ามเยื้องๆกับร้านซูชิ ค่อนข้างผิดหวังเลย พริกแกงใต้ดันไม่ค่อยถึงซะงั้น เลยพาให้รสชาติอาหารมันอ่อนหมด อาหารแต่ละจานรสชาติค่อนข้างโดด บางจานหวานบางจานเค็ม ผัดใบเหลียงนี่มันเลี่ยนมาเลย
แต่ไม่เป็นไรวันนั้นไปก็ดึกมากแบ้วป้าอาจหมดแรงทำ5555555 ถ้ามีโอกาสได้ไปใหม่จะลองแวะไปอีกรอบค่ะ

เป็นท่าเรือและทางเรียบยาวตั้งแต่หลักกิโลเมตรที่ 0 ตรงลานปูดำถึงสวนสาธารณะธารา ระยะทาง 2 กม. เหมาะกับการเดินเล่น ออกกำลังกายและหาของกินตอนเย็น อากาศดี วิวสวย

มีเรือให้เลือกหลายลำ หลายขนาดวิวสวยอากาศดีมีที่นั่งหลบแดดด้วยลมพัดตลอดเวลานักท่องเที่ยวเยอะ มีคนคอยให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับเรือนำเที่ยว พื้นที่โดยรอบสะอาดดีมาแล้วอยากมาอีก

ท่าเรือไปชุมชนบ้านเกาะกลาง เป็นเรือหัวโทง นั่งประมาณ 8-10 คน ไปเทียบท่าที่ร้านมะหญิง เรือบางลำมีพาลัดตัดไปทางป่าโกงกาง (ช่วงเวลาน้ำขึ้นถึงจะไปได้) ก็ได้ชมธรรมชาติไปด้วย ออกจากป่าก็คือร้านมะหญิง นั่งเรือประมาณ 15 นาที

I came here in the evening, there are many delicious street food restaurants. The atmosphere is quite good, the air is cool because it is by the river. Most of the customers who come here are Thai people. If you are a foreigner, you are very lucky to come and try the local food and you will see what the people of the area eat.

เป็นท่าเรือที่จะนำท่านไปสู่เกาะกลางและยังมีเรือที่จะนำท่านไปสู่จุดต่างๆเกาะต่างๆของกระบี่ค่อนข้างดีท่าเรือ 10 บาทแต่ควรมาช่วงเช้าหรือช่วงเย็นที่มีคนเยอะแต่ถ้าเป็นเหมาลำเป็น 100 บาทควรปรับปรุงราคาจุดนี้เพื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถเดินทางได้ตั้งแต่เช้าจรดเย็นในราคา 10 บาท

The nearest pier for Krabi town. Long tail boat is available at 150 Baht to and from Railay pier. Arrive here and take taxi for Krabi Airport.

Long tail boat to railay, 150 baht per person each way. It won't leave until there are at least 8 people in the boat so you could be waiting 30mins.

Ferry to Koh lanta leaves at 11.30am and 2pm each day. We paid 400baht through our hotel, but the hotel beside us offered it for 300baht. Cheapest option is probably just to land up at the pier and pay there. Also, wear a raincoat. You will get soaked queing for the boat during boarding and then the AC is freezing when you get on. Bring snacks as this ferry doesn't have a bar.

The food stalls that are on in the evening time around here are great value, around 50baht per meal.
