Bamboo Bay Resort / OYO 1085 Ma Lanta House

One of the best hotels I have been to in Thailand. Clean and with spectacular views. It lacked a hair dryer. The wifi was a little poor, but everything else was great.

We spent 5 nights in this accommodation and it was great. You can rent scooters from the restaurant opposite, which allows you to move around the island. This establishment is the best in terms of quality and price on the island. From your room you will see the view of the sea. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious. I highly recommend this place.

This is one of the last two resorts further on the southern part, close to the lighthouse!
We enjoyed our stay, bungalow with view to the bamboo bay.
You need a scooter (that you can rent with the hotel) to drive around. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Attention with the scooter, they rented me an empty tank scooter.
Restaurant with the view to bamboo beach.
Time to drive to the 1st 7/11 is about 7min.
Time to drive to OldLanta Tiwn about 30-40min.

We chose this area because it was quiet away from the noise, but you definitely need a car or a motorbike.the restaurant opposite is really good for drinks and food with the most beautiful view of Bamboo Beach.the rooms were not serviced.the owner will drop off the water and the coffee and if you need them, adk for clean towels.we paid about $15 per night beautiful hot showers lovely comfortable beds and so quiet.there's a rooster on site and even though I'm a very light sleeper I didn't hear it. Thick cement rooms.

Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, tolles Zimmer, super Aussicht auf die Bucht und Meer Sehr ruhig und sauber, Nähe zum Nationalpark. Alles Perfekt, wir kommen gerne wieder, Gruß Gabi und Thomas.

Couldnt recommend this place enough
Pool is small but deep enough, with the view.
Room is clean and compact, has got a spacious porch with a long chair you can sit and enjoy the fantastic view.
Ac works fine, bathroom is clean, water pressure is good but the fan inside is so loud.
Couldnt believe its price. So lucky i got a room, it was fully booked on other days. (Feb)

Amazing view, no front desk so keep your eye out for the owner to check in. Ideally have a motorbike as shops arnt very close

Loved this place so much we are returning next week.
Room is large & clean & comfy with fantastic view through large patio doors. Kettle, glasses, cups, fridge, toiletries, towels. Comfy beds.
Pool has great views and lots of places to sit and relax, all with views of the hills and beach.
7 min stroll down steep hill to beach. Restaurant just opposite resort has extensive menu including breakfasts. 150 baht for delicious penang curry.

Breathtaking view efficient check in and friendly staff. The rooms were nothing less than what we expected. Had the pool all to ourselves. Super value for money and away from it all. Just loved the feel here, super laid back. If you're thinking twice about staying here, don't. We've travelled extensively throughout Thailand and you can bet your bottom dollar that you won't be disappointed.

The restaurant by the bay was lovely. Very polite and friendly staff. Food was mid range priced and tantalized our taste buds. I'm writing this with a tummy full and super satisfied.

I remember that me and my daughter car was stuck down there because we don't know that car can't go down, our car almost went down to the beach, it's very dangerous. But then, she call her father from home and come to help us to drive up the car. It was an interesting and adventures experience and I wish their family always in the pink of health. I would probably visit them again if I went there.

We met friends there and it was very fun for a few days. (I can only do rustic a few days at a time.) The place is very cute and has a few monkeys that come thru. A monkey found a bag of trash and made a mess. Then he fussed at me as I cleaned it up. Staff are all great. Fun place.

So this is the best beach in Koh Lanta and this resort is the best situated on it. The rooms have amazing views (although unfortunately you are not facing the sunset). It should be one of the best places in Lanta unfortunately the place is not being maintained properly. The rooms and the restaurant are becoming dilapidated, broken down and dirty. This is reflected in the cheap price of rooms but it's a shame nonetheless. If someone came in and started renovating and running the place right it would be really good.

A family run local business! Great hospitality at medium prices when you are looking for basic facilities. It'll about the location!

Stayed there for a week. Great staff! Excellent location! Superb value for money! Facilities would benefit from some maintenace and upgrades. Would definetly go back!
