Baja Taco

Great food, lovely view but service was slow. You are given a menu and paper to write your order, but nobody came back for 10 minutes to collect the order.

Delicious food, peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend when needing a small break from traditional Thai food.

The tacos were incredible! My partner and I started off with three tacos, they were so tasty we had to get two more! The fresh tortilla was fluffy, light and stretchy, ie. PERFECT! We had the chicken, beef, fish, prawn and ground beef taco. The fish taco was personally the highlight, but all of them were delicious and we would certainly order every single one again! Each Taco is a generous size, if you are looking for a filling snack, one does the job, 2-3 is a full meal.
It’s easy to miss the turn off from the main road, the area is so serene and quiet it’s the perfect place to just put your phone away and enjoy the view and taco in peace.

Very good tacos, some of the best we’ve had during our time in SEA. Definitely recommend the chicken tacos and salsa verde. Perhaps a little expensive at 110 THB per taco hence the 4 and not 5 star rating but oh well. Great views from the seating area. The chef’s son Coke was an absolute pleasure to meet, he makes 1: 1000 scale models of ancient Thai and Khmer cities, which are on display in his workshop around the corner from the restaurant. Definitely worth having a chat with him too if you have the time.

If you are on Koh Lanta island, make sure to go eat at Baja Taco for delicious Mexican food and drinks. The food is not fast, it's made FRESH as you order. For those who want fast, in minutes type of food, then you best go to a fast food place such as McDonald's or KFC if you can find one. Your impatience and less than favourable reviews are hurting these local business who are doing their best to survive, post Covid!

Also, the highlight of our trip out to Baja Taco was the beautiful and amazing artwork made by Alexandra "Coke" Smith. Constructed out of recycled materials and made with pure love and true passion for his work. Coke was a pleasure to meet, and his knowledge and passion for his art shone through.

Sat right by the water and had amazing tacos. Can't get much better than that! Nearly impossible to find great Mexican food on this side of the world but they really did an excellent job here! Bonus points for cute dogs.

Sensational burrito. A true gem on Koh Lanta. If you like mexican do yourself a favour and eat at Baja Taco!

One of the best tacos I’ve ever tried. Mushroom taco is my favourite. It get very busy so be prepared to wait but it’s definitely worth it

The food is excellent here. The owner spent years in Baja California and in the United States she loves Mexican food and makes everything fresh. We asked her if she could make a spicy margarita and she did it. It was awesome. If you want some Mexican food, this is the place to get it.

The food was good but we waited 1 hour and twenty minutes. After one hour we asked if the food was on the way. And the chef just got angry and told if we wanted the food or not.

Hi Lasse, Thank you for your review. I’m apologize if that make you feel really up set, I think I’m pretty sure that you were angry with me first and I felt very rude that you were yelling at me. You came back after you went away from the restaurant because our place was packed with at least 30 people. Just to remind you that it’s homemade and if you were leaving your order with us we won’t missed your order when you came back. I told you I could make your food now because you came back. I think you mix me up with another angry customer. It was my wife which asked you really calmy after one hour, if our food was on its way. And then you got angry and said if we wanted the food or not.
When you get an constructive feedback try to take it in, instead of attacking a customer once more.
The food is great, but the way you are treating customers can improve.

So good! A bit pricey but the food is authentic mexican and absolutely worth it. Great atmosphere right on the water.

The nachos here are one of the best in all of Thailand. Homemade ingredients, tasty sauce. Awesome in every way!

I never thought I would ever eat a burrito on an island in Thailand, but I am glad I did at Baja Taco. Keep in mind, the food may take some time to come out, but the flavour of the burrito makes the wait worth it.

Food was so so so good! Some of the tastiest mexican food we’ve had in SE asia! Location is a little off the beaten track in a super quiet area but is a nice family fun place by the water. Do beware of lots of mosquitos and bugs as it’s basically in the jungle! Had a great experience and the staff/family were so lovely!

Having lived in Mexico (tip of Baja, actually) previously, imagine my shock to drive past a place named Baja Taco in a remote part of remote and quiet Koh Lanta (I live in Rawai, Phuket).

Then I see 6 motorbikes parked out front and who can say no to that at 14.00 on a Saturday afternoon?

Ditto what other reviewers have written here. Superb and authentic.especially the salsas.

I opted for 1 steak taco and 1 fish taco.

Must check it out and if it's a sunny day, the drive is delightful from about anywhere. Very chill driving here.

I’ve been many places in Baja and have had many tacos outside of Baja as well. This place is a must and a beautiful scenic ride as well. It’s all about the prawn tacos!

Beautiful location right on the water and amazing food! The tacos are absolutely delicious, and the homemade tortilla chips are so crunchy and tasty. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. It's a bit of a trek to get there from the west side of the island but so so worth it. Recommend to contact them if you're going with a bigger group so you can order in advance for speedy service. Also to update some previous reviews, it is now open every day from Wednesday to Sunday for high season.

Lovely spot on the water! We had an array of delicious tacos, homemade nachos and a margarita to go with it all - perfection!

Freaking amazing. I’m from CO/CA and these tacos were amazing, the salsas on point, pico de gallo tasted amazing. I got the beef and fish tacos and then chips and salsa. Highly highly recommend if you want truly authentic tasting tacos.
