Ao Thalane Kayak Krabi พายคายัคกระบี่ / Kyak reviews
18Beautiful, quiet and comfortable ride on the water. Good guide who helped us through the most difficult areas:) It is recommended to check when it is high tide so that you can do the whole round!
One of the best tourist experiences in Thailand for us. Make sure to check water levels before you go there to be able to see the best routes!
Very nice kayaking ride in a lake and between manglars. Seen some very interesting animals and the guides were very nice
Over priced for what it is. Especially with the quide, who tho is very much needed to navigate the low tide seas. Best to come around 1 to 2 (whenever high tide is), as u can then explore at your own leasure and all the parts.
At low tide u are limited to where u can go, and don't be a Johnny hero thinking u can navigate the low tides yourself (as we encountered such close to 6pm stuck out there:).
Also, i'd say a decent physical shape is a plus, unless u wanna Sunday paddle stroll it. Request a single kayak if alone, or go the double if two, and don't be afraid to ask the quide or select yourself the right one.
At 1,200 B for a couple, with a quide, it's not a great value at low tide. At high tide maybe, but the direct sun will be an issue. Our quide's English was limited, but he sure knew his way around the shallows.
The scenery is quite decent, nature in Thailand is just amazing, but i'd hesitate to say not breath taking. But all in all enjoyable couple of hours.
The experience was amazing and the guy who took us was very nice and simlativl, congratulations
Great KAYAK TOUR in around the mangroves. Have inquired and booked the day before, then you have the right time to start. Booking with a guide was spot on, it makes a lot of things easier and you discover everything. The tour lasts over 2 hours and is demanding for the body. You can also ride with the guide if you have a disability. You discover and have a lot of fun and there is also a little bit of adventure. The guide is helpful and takes photos and videos which was great. The price was 600 bath per person with a guide and is perfectly fine. Uber The travel agencies will probably be more expensive for that with directions. Thank you for an unforgettable experience
Terrible experience. Do not go on low tide by any means… you will be stuck in the mud up to 40 Cm and more. You will have to carry your own kayak to get out of this swamp.
You can do only a subpart of the tour and then you have to came back the same way. The problem is that when you will be on your way back, the tide would have gotten even lower and you will be lost finding a way back to the departure point (this was my case today).
Moreover sometime there are dangerous snakes instructor told me.
There is at least 1 active kayaking provider at the pier. I believe there is at least 1 guide stationed there most of the time. We came by a package from Klook. Great kayak guides. The mangroves are a worthy sight to behold. Not many urban places have this many mangroves to kayak through. The pace was reasonable. The only issue is that this place is roughly 30-45mins drive out from Ao Nang tourist area.
Booked a tour which never happened due to low tide at the time the owner offered himself.
After failed attempt with guide speaking 0 English, we retreated to the beach.
And the the owner started that there is no reason for refund, since (I guess) we should have checked the tides ourselves and do not book for the time when water is low…
Anyway…. Wasted a day, thanks to “professional” organisers of the tour
The best thing to do in Krabi! Not so much effort, and the views are fantastic! In the morning, around 10 am we saw a jumping fish, blue and orange crabs, 3 different spices of wonderfull birds, a lot of monkeys, mangrove forest, caves, canyons, lagoons, nice beaches and jungle. Experience do not miss!
We went for kayaking to this place they charged us 700bhat and they told us that it will fruits but once we reach there there will be nothing only watermelon, they didt provided us with life jackets we stuck in a storm in between we are lucky that we survived. Place is good always carry towel and ask for life jackets its dangerous
The place is beautiful! A must kayaking experience. I had read in many reviews that they dnt take the longer route saying it is low tide time and instead take you through the shorter route. The same happened with us too. They said the same thing and didn't take us through the longer route. Maybe if this happens all the time, the price can be reduced as the shorter kayak route is used. Apart from that everything was perfect. A good day spent.
Beautiful and serene, our kayaking experience was wonderful. It got bit tough at the twists and turns in the mangroves forest but it was fun. We found some thief monkeys stealing drinking water from the kayak’s overall a memorable experience at ao thalane krabi
An absolute pleasure
Doing the 2 hour tour is not easy, but you can expect one of the best return on investment in your life as the canyon and the Mangrove are just incredibly beautiful
A must do in the area of Krabi
Stunning limestone formations, dense mangrove forests, Krabi at its finest. We paid 600 baht a person, 300 for kidsbwith guide included. Recommended.
We were 4 people and had a really nice kayak tour! Our guide was really nice and took a lot of photos from us
Great experience and would definitely recommend for anyone in Krabi / Ao Nang area.
️ The price was 600 THB per person including the guide.
️Each Kayak can take up to 2 people.
️ Ideally try to go when the tide is high or on the rise as low tide means more paddling to reach the starting point after the full circle through the mangroves.
️ The route is about 7.5km through mangroves and then through the open sea for the last 2km
️Take suncream, hat and long sleeve t-shirt if sensitive to sun
️ We were provided with bottles of water at the start and 1 waterproof bag per kayak to add our personal belongings
Great adventure! Everything was really well organised. It’s impossible to regret the trip. We saw a Monkey, a snake and lizard, highly recommended!
