Anda Lanta Resort reviews
26 We stayed 3 and a half weeks, Christmas and new year. Andalanta is a paradise, on arrival you are treated with welcoming arms, drinks, and a cooling towel to refresh your self. The staff are super friendly and professional and really strive to fulfill your wishes. The whole area of massage spa, reception, pool, restaurant etc is all set together with very close distances but plenty of greenery in between and around so very beautiful. The bay and beach beyond is right on the doorstep, the right side is pretty much just for Andalanta and it's gorgeous. Very peaceful here in the south of Lanta. For a family resort perfect. If you want to do trips they will arrange taxis or boats for you no problem. Even beach pick ups. Breakfast boxes if you miss breakfast on a trip. If you want to go shopping they will send a taxi with you and the driver will wait for you at no extra cost. The Christmas and new years shows where wonderful. The whole team gets together with extra bbq station, dances, shows, fireworks etc. They really go all out for You. The rooms are great, biggest beds ever. Very clean. Great balconies overlooking the gardens and you will see monkeys. Food is amazing, great choice, especially breakfast buffet. They have the usual bread, toast, bacon eggs, cereals etc then add into that a station that makes fresh ommeletes or scrambled for you with your choice of mixes and then Thai food changed daily ranging from samosas, rice dishes, vegetable dishes, spinach baked with cheese, broccili, squid, meats and this is just breakfast. Along with fruits, pancakes, French toast, its a 3 course meal included in the room price. The restaurant and bar is simply Excellant at all times of day. The pool is lovely, 2 smaller shallower areas for the little ones. The spa is overlooking the ocean, it's so picturesque and the 3 lovely ladies are there to help you relax. A paradise in location, set up and wonderful staff. We have been to Thailand 10 times, 12 locations, this resort stands out to us as a family as the perfect place. Thankyou Andalanta management and your wonderful staff. We will be back!
Tip: fly to krabi Airport, the resort will arrange a pick up. It's a 3 hour drive in an air conditioned mini bus including short ferry ride but much quicker and easier than messing about with boats and transfers and island pick up from pier etc. It cost us total 85 euros for The 3 hour taxi ride Including ferry costs for the whole Family of 4. Certainly the best choice for a family.
I stayed two nights at this beautiful resort. Immersion in greenery and beach front.
Located in the quietest area of Koh Lanta, a stone's throw from the entrance to the national park.
The structure is very beautiful and the rooms very large.
The staff is always friendly, smiling and helpful.
The restaurant is also excellent.
Very nice hotel, big clean rooms with climatization. Big balcony with rack-dryer. Very nice view of the beach. There are many plants and trees. Breakfast is Thai normal. Omelets are great. Coffee is drip coffee. The pool is big enough for little swim.
Beautiful secluded resort in the south of Koh Lanta.
All the staff are very friendly and accommodating, the room had a great view and was always cleaned well. The private beach leads shallowly into the water and you can even rent kayaks for free.
We booked excursions and transfers at fair prices at the accommodation via reception.
We felt very comfortable here and simply enjoyed our holiday.
If you are looking for a good mattress go for it otherwise move on.
Zero service: we arrive and ask for a scooter, they tell us that they don't have any anymore, go get it yourself in the village.
Landry service 160 bath/kg and the linen doesn't even smell good (in the village it's 40 bath and it smells good!)
Don't order a mojito.they don't know how to make it!
And many more.
The spot is beautiful but for the price the services are not up to par!
And either they don't understand English or they only hear what they want!
In short, very disappointed, even though the place has potential.
Perfect for families with (small) children. Peace of mind guaranteed for parents. We stayed at Anda Lanta with our daughter (2 years) for a week in October and rented a beach villa. The "small" beach house is completely sufficient, is well equipped and is cleaned every day. Waking up in the morning and hearing and seeing the waves is unique. The pool is great and the sea is shallow. The breakfast is good, something for everyone. We recommend a trip to the Lanta Elephant Sanctuary. Oh yes.the weather was always great during the day!
Great place, it's the first time I've stayed at a place where the real place looked better than the photos. We really enjoyed our 8 days here. Staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms where spacious and clean and plenty of great bars and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. I don't recommend eating or drinking here since there are both cheaper and much tastier options nearby.
Summary: The rooms were nice
Service was straight garbage. Staff argue sometimes and the food was extremely mediocre. Some guests have had extreme food poisoning. The pool was decent but the tap water had a strange brownish color and taste unlike any other tap water i have used
The location was pretty decent of course since its a beach resort
Tolles, abgelegenes Hotel. Das team war super freundlich und hat immerzu unser Baby bespaßt
This resort is incredible. Maybe it’s because we got a room for a pretty good deal, but we loved everything about this place. The rooms are very big, beautiful and clean and give a very nice private feeling. The bed was the best I’ve slept in in Thailand (and we travelled all over in Thailand for eight weeks). It didn’t feel like the place is old at all. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was nice and the beach and pool are beautiful with plenty of sunbeds. Sure, prices for food, drinks and additional services are higher than elsewhere but duh, you’re staying at a very expensive resort so go figure. We had an amazing time here and I’d recommend anyone to go here, especially if you can find a good deal (if you don’t have to plan everything upfront, just check Agoda and Booking before you go. We had a big discount because we booked only two days in advance).
I enjoyed most of our stay at the Anda Lanta however we were really disappointed with the lack of communication after we left. We had an awful night on our last night, as the AC kept spilling water all over the floor which got all over our shoes and splashed up onto our luggage. It happened four times throughout the night. Not only was out room and belongings wet, but we did not sleep. No one was around in the morning when we checked out to speak to, however, I did email my concerns and did not hear back. I imagine that since I was no longer a paying customer, it was not concerning to them. I would have appreciated some sort of attempt to rectify this issue.
The beach is nice, as is the pool, however, if you’re looking for a quiet area this isn’t it. There are tons of families so there are screaming kids everywhere. The beach itself is quieter, with a few other restaurant options that are nice to walk to.
Great hotel with a great pool area and nice beach.
Friendly staff who are helpful and responsive. They have various amenities that are kid-friendly to take advantage of (kayaks, snorkeling gear, etc.).
However the restaurant was under par. Unfortunately the food was not always what we would expect given the prices. We complained and the staff were friendly and responsive, but they could not make up for the subpar food quality. Luckily there are several good Thai food spots on the beach for dinner.
Note: the breakfast at the hotel was great!
All in all I would recommend a stay here.
From phuket airport it took appox 5 hrs to reach the Anda Lanta Resort via ferry. This place looks private and calm. Rooms are so spacious and clean with essentials like hair dryer, and toiletries. Restaurant was good and will be closed around 10PM. They also have packages for island day trip and motorbikes rental for 250-280 bhatt for 12 hrs. Massage was so good, recommended to try. Few staffs were so friendly. Overall the stay was pleasant and highly recommended.
Amazing!
Staff are lovely and beach is great!
Lots of restaurants within a short scooter ride.
Also good restaurant just along the beach (walkable).
We had a fantastic stay in Anda Lanta.
The hotel is located in a secluded area south of the island that is perfect for those looking for peace and quiet, the only caveat being that if you can't drive a scooter, it will be really hard to get to the restaurants and shops in the nearby villages.
A taxi service is available but it isn't cheap. A roundtrip to the closest village (10 minute drive) will set you back 400 bath.
The staff is super friendly and accommodating and in one particular case went out of its way to arrange transport for us after our driver from our next hotel was a no-show.
The highlight of the hotel is the beach it's situated at, which is as close as it gets to private. The tide is calm so it's perfect for the kayaks which are available to borrow from the hotel for free.
The restaurant is a bit pricey but the food has decent quality. The breakfast buffet was good but too expensive.
The facilities for kids are somewhat lacking considering we saw as many as five families with young children in the hotel. Sometimes a few toys for kids to play with while you have your dinner go a long way. We couldn't find a slide, swings, etc in the premises.
This is a gem of a hidden resort on a not so popular island in Thailand. It has beaches, hills and a protected environmental area too. Not too densely populated, this island has a relaxed charm about itself. This resort offers a wonderfully crafted experience to wear off all the fatigue in a close to nature and beach avatar. The Bunglows are wonderfully maintained, the beach is at its foothills and the swimming pool is ever inviting with a plethora of wonderful cocktails offered by the bartender. I say you must visit here.
Beautiful. Quiet. Serene.
It's a huge and beautiful property right on the beach. The beach is quiet and clean and the water is crystal clear. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good. The restaurant and spa face the beach. Overall an excellent experience with a feel of private beach!
Great resort, great staff, great breakfast - only If there is a Blackout, the Generator makes a horrible noise, especially anoying in the night when you want to sleep.
