Amazing day and amazing tour! We booked the private Phi Phi island tour. Neen was our guide and was so funny, nice and accommodating! From start (Neen being early to pick us up) to finish (the captain cutting us fruit to snack on) it was perfect. The entire team made our day so special we would highly recommend this tour. It was overcast and was still an amazing day. Would highly suggest springing for this tour! Will make a very special day!

We booked a private sunrise 4 island tour from Phi Phi with Tata as our guide. The team was extremely responsive via WhatsApp which we really appreciated when we were off to a rough start in the early morning. We have zero complaints for the whole day. Staff was lovely and a private tour really allowed us to spend as much or a little time at each destination. The speed boat was well maintained and there was plenty of snacks and water, including the best pineapple and watermelon we had during our whole trip! Lunch was tasty, plenty of food and they easily accommodated our vegetarian easily. Snorkeling was fantastic. Highly recommend this operator!

We took two private excursions, one by long tail boat (to James Bond Island and the floating village) and the other by speed boat (Ko phi phi and Hong Island).
Everything was very good, from the guides to the two skippers.
Special mention for Neen who accompanied us these two days. Very smiling and outgoing while remaining natural.

Such a wonderful experience! I was picked up at my hotel on time and then it was a short drive to the pier. It was only me and a family of 3 and then two guides and our captain. We stopped off at Railay Bay, got a quick pic in front of Chicken Island, went snorkeling for a bit and then headed to Poda Island. The guides prepared a delicious dinner with plenty of food and then we stayed there to see the most beautiful sunset. I was traveling solo and the guide was nice enough to take pictures for me. Definitely recommend this tour group!

We had an enjoyable trip to Koh Hong Island with Jess. Jess is an amazing tour guide. She guided us on a sunset tour to Koh Pho Da the day before, and we enjoyed it so much we booked this tour and requested her again. She is fun, knowledgeable and very fluent in English.

We got to snorkel for a little while in Koh Hong Lagoon, before it started to rain.
We headed out to Koh Phak Bia to seek shelter and have lunch. It was an exciting long tail boat ride across the sea through a heavy rain.

Jess prepared an amazing lunch with Massaman Curry, Stir Fried Vegetables, Chicken Nuggets, Fruit and Banana muffins as well as various snacks.

We had planned on snorkeling at a few different islands, but our choices were limited because of the storm and low tide.

Jess and our boat captain did their best to find a place where we could at least get in the water and snorkel. We did see some clown fish and various other fish just off a small island.

It was a very enjoyable trip, even with the rain and low tides. Jess made the trip fun. She took pictures for us and sent them right after the tour. Thanks so much for making our visit to Krabi a great experience:)

We did the Hong Islands Longtail Private Boat Trip & Snorkeling tour and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Palm and the boat crew were incredible. They did everything to make the day seamless. We visited the islands and lagoon at our own pace, they took us to see the monkeys, and the lunch was delicious. They even took photos of us throughout the day and shared them with us at the end. We are already taking about bringing our kids back. Highly recommended!

Phuket: Private Long Tail Boat Trip to James Bond Island

Due to the low tide, boarding the longtail boat was not only uncomfortable but actually really dangerous, since the height between the pier and the boat was almost impossible to manage without help. Even our guide needed our helping hand to get on the boat. This distance would have been insurmountable for children, elderly people or people with disabilities.
The friendliness of our guide cannot be disputed, but unfortunately we quickly noticed that the English skills of the gentleman, who was a full-time fisherman during the Corona period, were very poor. Unfortunately, the information about Krabi was hardly understandable.
We tried to explain to him several times that we would like to swim in beautiful lagoons and on beautiful beaches and were not particularly interested in main attractions such as the caves.

We spent most of our trip on the longtail boat. We didn't swim or snorkel once. Our only contact with the sea was during the very rough, last boarding of the longtail boat, where we were caught by a wave in our entire robe up to our chests and had to get on the boat completely wet.

The promised two meals in the form of picnics only took place once at noon on the long-tail boat. Since my boyfriend and I were ill the days before and couldn't eat large portions at once, we asked our guide to be able to eat the leftovers later. A second picnic did not take place; but it would also have been very difficult, since the crew helped themselves to the food and there would have been nothing left for a second meal.

The picnic on board was meant to be nice, but was actually only designed for a "good" Instagram post and unfortunately seemed very rehearsed and not designed with much love. It seemed like a passable photo for social media was the top priority.

Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the idyllic music that was also promised. Our guide dealt with the music system, but no music could be heard during the entire excursion and the offer to play our music did not come either.

Unfortunately, there was no answer to the multiple requests to visit the fishing village, which would have interested us incredibly, but only an infantile, friendly smile, which made it clear to us again that our guide unfortunately did not speak English. Unfortunately, we did not visit a fishing village, although this, like so many other things, should have been part of the program.

After emphatically emphasizing that we would at least like to have a swim at a nice beach, we drove to Naka Island, where we were quickly told that this was our last stop. When we asked about the included bath towels, they looked for them on the boat and two small towels were handed to us somewhat reluctantly.

As already emphasized, a second picnic on Naka Island did not take place - there was no food left.

All the special features such as diving goggles, snorkels, fishing rods, Instagram equipment, which were integrated into the very expensive excursion, were never offered to us - which was actually not necessary on the boat, which we hardly ever left…

All in all, at the end of our trip we sat completely disappointed on Naka Island and felt genuinely betrayed and incredibly disappointed.

It is absolutely understandable that with a higher volume of tourism, large tours may lose some of their charm and magic. But that's exactly why we decided to book a private tour, which in the end turned out to be the even bigger failure.

With this trip you not only stole a huge sum of money from us, but also a very special experience and a wonderful day in a great country.

Wir hatten eine private Early Bird Bootstour gemacht und es war ein riesen Erlebnis. Wir wurden um 5 Uhr morgens abgeholt und waren als erstes auf den Inseln. Sonnenaufgang inklusive.

One-day tour of 4 islands by longtail boat
I was very impressed with this trip. Both the guide and the captain provided excellent service. Introducing various tourist attractions, including Poda Island, Tub Island, Mor Island, Chicken Island, Phra Nang Cave, and also eating delicious Pad Thai.

Joined a tour to Phi Phi + Khai from Phuket in Dec 2022.

The good:
(+) Places visited were breathtaking, especially Maya Beach and Monkey Beach.

The not-so-good:
(-) Tour was delayed by >1 hour. We were supposed to depart at 9.30am, but ended up leaving the pier only closer to 10.45am. The reason was not was well communicated to us. As a result, we waited for almost 2 hours, our pickup from our hotel was at 8.15am.
(-) Was expecting to learn some history on the places we visited. Instead, the guide only shared the name and time to leave each place. This is not a guided tour, it felt more like a ferry service to the different places.
(-) Felt that the long-boat tour (additional 300+ baht per pax) around Pileh Lagoon was not worth the money / misrepresented by the guide. The long-boat took us to the entrance of the Lagoon (short 5 mins ride) and dropped us there for snorkelling. Water there was very choppy as compared to the inside of the Lagoon where our speedboat was anchored. The reason we paid for the long-boat tour was because the guide told us we cannot snorkel at the area where the speedboat was anchored. Funny, because we came back to see our other participants snorkelling around the speedboat, where the water is equally clear and significantly calmer than where we were dropped off.
(-) Group was large, about 40 pax. If you prefer smaller groups, this is not the tour for you. Our experience was also spoilt because of some rowdy and obnoxious participants on the tour (not the fault of the tour, but a point to bear in mind when joining such large tour groups).
(-) Had a stomachache and had to use the toilet before our departure from Phi Phi Island. We were 5 mins late to our speed boat, and when we arrived, we saw that our speed boat had unanchored and was already leaving. The guide did not account for the number of pax before leaving. I.e. If you have an accident on one of the island, you would likely be left behind to care for yourself and find your way back to mainland.

My suggestion, do visit Phi Phi (over James Bond if you have to choose), but do so with a different tour.

Check every detail before you book and ask them for written confirmation via Line, etc. If you have your own rental car you can do the jungle tour, ATV, Kayaking etc.easily by yourself and save a lot of money.
