Salsa Hostel (ซัลซ่าโฮสเทล)

This is probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in! And that is tough for me to say (stiff competition). The rooms were perfect, the bed, the AC. It was so easy to meet other travellers and they were all such a nice crowd (not too party, which i can't handle these days). The owner, Sood, is a solid gold, pure diamond, legend.he is funny (totally dead-pan), kind and helpful and he makes a cracking coffee. The breakfast was a dream (I adore peanut butter toast). Bike rental is easy and cheap. This is a place I will come back to again and again and again (hopefully, if the stars align). Thank you Sood, so much.

A good place to stay, the host is friendly and helpful and speaks good English. I had to stay extra because it was comfortable here.

Homely place with super comfy beds and spotless toilets and showers. Kitchen available for cooking. Cold water dispenser. Cats chilling around indoors. Recep guy is friendly and very fluent in English. Cleaning lady was kind as well.

Night market (every night) with delicious foods along the road right outside the hostel.

Less than 10min walk to chumphon railway station. Easy to get a Grab to the seaside area. (Get the Grab person's contact for the return trip.)

Can’t complain with this place and it’s the clear choice if you must stay in the area - which for what it’s worth I didn’t like very much.

Hi, the owner is helpful, you can buy ferry tickets to koh tao and get the necessary information, if you want to catch a night Ferry this same day you should come to Chumphon before 8 pm, pier is 7km from train station, ticket can be buy also on the boat. Hostel is clean and have good caffee, thx a lot

This place is few kilometers away from the train station. The rooms are spotless. The toilets are very clean. The nice soft bunk beds. In town around Ocean Complex.

Very friendly and helpful owner, clean rooms and facilities, comfortable beds and pillow. You can also book your ferry ticket here. I can defiantly recommend this place

Very helpful owner I arrived in chumpon at 2am and didn't arrive at hostel until 3am owner stayed up and let me in very early in the morning!

Very nice hostel in a food location. Clean toilets and rooms. I liked that they had extra blankets since in some places the AC is too cold and they only provide sheets. The owner is super friendly and has nice sense of humour. No breakfast provided but the owner still made me some coffee, which was super nice. Highly recommended.

This hostel is great, very clean and the owner is very attentive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend it, the AC unit in our suite was broken, but he got it fixed promptly right after my complaints. We had to get up at 6am to catch the ferry and he was already awake to show me how the door worked when I was struggling to open it. There are also some very cute cats here. The location is very convenient, it’s right next to the ocean mall (only mall in chumphon) and there’s a 7/11 right down the street, as well as street stalls selling food along there.

I was there 2 nights. Spacefull, clean, separated showers, The owner (Sood) speak very good English and helped me with many things: recommendations to visit, bike rental and long chat about our lifes. A pleasure, I swear!

Had a very pleasant stay here one night in transit to Surat Thani from BKK. Sood speaks very good English and was very helpful with my transport options. The guest area, dormitory and bathroom were squeaky clean and bunks had privacy curtains with individual reading light and power point. Location is dead central 10 mins walk from the train station. The minibus station is 2 mins away. Lots of food choices within a radius of 500m.

Very friendly and caring host. The value for money is excellent. The place is clean and well furnished. Everything you need for a nice and restful stay is there. It's located in Chumphon down town, close to the train station and street markets.

Good place to get boat tickets to Koh Tao and other islands. Both Lomprayah and night boat tickets are sold. I didn't stay here, but location is central and both dorm and private rooms are advertised.

Only place I would ever stay in Chumphon. You can book ferry tix in hostel. Clean safe friendly place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Best Place to explore the city and the surrounding areas.
