Chumphon Railway Station

Standard train station, unfortunately the toilets were very dirty. I have never seen such a large amount of unwashed feces.
The ladies at the information desk are very nice and helpful.

A very old and tasteful station building.
The waiting area has no air conditioning or fans, just a wooden bench that makes your butt hurt when you sit on it.

All good left about 25 mins late but arrived only 5 mins behind. Tip.get a ticket for second carriage and not seats 1,2,3 or 4 as the leg room is too small with a bulkhead in front of you. Otherwise great rail experience with some awesome views if you take odd seat numbers as they will afford eastern views.

Chumphon Rail station. Upon arrival keeping walking straight and you’ll exit onto a platform where you’ll be surrounded by taxi hawkers.

A better suggestion, walk mostly straight, just a little to the left and you’ll find The Forest Bar. They offer luggage storage and can assist you in your travel plans. Enjoy a coffee or have a beverage and take a moment to ground yourself in Chumphon.

From the Forest Bar you can continue walking straight to a four way intersection, continue straight ahead and you’ll find The Ocean shopping mall/plaza, Starbucks, KFC, cinema, various other shops and an arcade on the 3rd floor.

Or, you can go right from the Forest Bar and discover a small, yet wonderful Southern Thai town.

พนักงานขายตั๋วมีคนเดียวในเวลาที่รถใกล้จะออก คนรอคิวซื้อนานมากๆ เพราะมีทั้งคนซื้อรถขบวนอื่นที่ยังไม่มารวมอยู่ด้วย ส่งผลให้รถเลทออกช้าไปอีกตั้งเเต่ต้นขบวน

Ok rail station with food and drink options. Not on time but its thailand soooo good stopover point for other locations.

Helpful staff, and there are shower rooms too. Plenty of benches to rest up. There's a small cafe offering self service coffee for THB20 and baggage storage (no set fee, pay as tip), friendly staff

If you arrived here in the evening, there are a small night markets and local restaurants on the right side from the station.

I took a night train from Chumphon to Bangkok. The train was comfortable enough. They always change the bedsheets and blankets everyday, they also make a bed for you in the morning.

It was under renovation when I last visit it. So a bit chaotic. Classic railwaystation when you going to Koh Tao.

สถานีรถไฟหาง่าย อยู่ในตัวเมือง ที่จอดรถสะดวกจอดด้านหน้าหรือด้านข้างสถานีได้เลย ห้องน้ำไม่ค่อยดีเท่าไหร่ (มีห้องน้ำใหม่กำลังก่อสร้างน่าจะใกล้ใช้งานได้แล้ว) ชานชาลากว้างขวางประมาณนึง จุดรอขึ้นรถมีม้านั่งอยู่เยอะพอสมควร มีจุดรับฝากของอยู่บริเวณชานชาลา มีจุดให้บริการนักท่องเที่ยว วันที่มาเป็นวันธรรมดา คนสัญจรน้อยไม่วุ่นวาย พี่ รปภ. บริการดี ให้คำแนะนำดีมาก

สถานีรถไฟชุมพร เขตอุดมศักดิ์ จังหวัด ชุมพร เหมาะสำหรับต่อรถโดยสาร ของบริษัทลมพระยา, หรือนั่งรถตู้ จากสถานีรถไฟ ไปท่าเรือลมพระยาชุมพร นั้งรถอีกประมาณ 20 กิโลเมตร ถึงท่าเรือไปเกาะเต่า️️ จากสถานีรถไฟชุมพร ไปท่าเรือลมพระยา หาดอ่าวมะขาม ไม่ถึง 1 ชั่วโมงหะ

สถานีรถไฟชุมพร เป็นชุมทางรถไฟภาคใต้ตอนบน สถานีนี้จุดเด่นคืออยู่ใจกลางเมืองเลย ออกจากสถานีก็เจอ ร้านอาหาร ก๋วยเตี๋ยว ส้มตำอยู่ไม่ไกล ช่วงเย็นมีตลาดรถไฟที่ขายของกินอยู่ตรงลานจอดรถด้วย ตอนนี้ปรับปรุงสถานีเพื่อให้เป็นรางคู่ ก็สะดวกขึ้นอีกเมื่อแล้วเสร็จ ส่วนเรื่องเดินรถก็มีช้าบ้างเป็นปกติของรถไฟ

เป็นสถานีรถไฟระดับจังหวัดที่มีรถไฟสายใต้จอดทุกขบวน ตัวอาคารของสถานีรถไฟแม้ว่าจะสร้างมานานแล้วแต่ยังคงความสวยงามแบบคลาสสิคและมีความสะอาดมาก นอกจากนี้ยังมีการก่อสร้างจุดถ่ายภาพสวยๆ สำหรับเช็คอินไว้อีกหลายแห่ง ภายในบริเวณห้องจำหน่ายตั๋วโดยสารค่อนข้างกว้างขวาง ปลอดโปร่ง อากาศถ่ายเทได้สะดวก นักเดินทางที่มาใช้บริการต่างมีความพึงพอใจเป็นอย่างมาก นอกจากนี้ยังมีทางลาดขึ้นลงสำหรับผู้ที่ใช้เก้าอี้รถเข็นอีกด้วย ส่วนตู้เอทีเอ็มของธนาคารกรุงไทย ตั้งอยู่ใกล้กับบันไดขึ้นลงของสถานีรถไฟ
