(2018) I rented a bike from the boat terminal on the right side of the island.
It's a nice beach for couples ︎ Compared to the shallow Tawaen Beach, there were fewer families with small children here, and there weren't as many people as there were at Tawaen, so it was a quiet time ︎ Is there an observation deck on the right side of the beach? From there, you can see the entire Samae Beach area The view is very good, so please try climbing it ︎

We took the Bahtbuss, over to this nice beach cost 60thb t/r.

The first row from the water costs 100 baht for the whole day, the second and further 50 baht. There are cafes right there. We ate tom yum, pad thai, rice in pineapple. You can safely take a large portion for two. There will be a “basin” of food for you) It’s really very big. We took medium and small. The small portion is just enough for a very hungry person, so I could barely eat it. Toilet is paid, 10 baht. We left back at 16: 00. To catch the ferry it took 17: 00. Travel from the pier to the beach is 30 baht.

Great cozy beach. The very first sun loungers are 100 baht. But you need to go a little further and the price will be 50. Naturally, the prices in the cafe are inflated. But it's like that everywhere. The beach is a million times better than the beaches of Pattaya. The local pig is very cute

หาดแสมสามารถขับมอเตอร์ไซค์หรือนั่งรถโดยสารมาลงหน้าหาดได้เลย เดินทางสะดวก ทรายละเอียด น้ำใส มีบ้านพักที่บริเวณหาดด้วย หาดนี้มีดาวเด่นเป็นน้องหมูแคระชื่อหมูกรอบ ช่วงกลางวันจะขี้อายหลบแดด แต่เช้าๆ หรือช่วงเย็นที่แดดร่มจะออกมาเดินตรวจนักท่องเที่ยว สามารถไปให้อาหารน้องและถ่ายรูปได้

Back in normal times this beach was thronged with all manner of tourists and the sea crowded with speed boats.
Nowadays (July 2021/2564) it's a beautiful stretch of sand and sparkling clear water. A great place to rent a deck chair under an umbrella and unplug for the day. Feels like 100 miles away from Pattaya. Enjoy it while you can!

Ah! Reminds me of the good old days before mass tourism and the loud, Chinese bus tour crowds pushing their way. Definitely quiet and clear water. (prices for beverages are expensive but the ferry ride was only 30 baht & the motorbike taxi was only 40 baht from the pier.

Der Samae Beach ist ein nicht so sehr überlaufener Strand auf Koh Larn. Da in unserer Unterkunft im Preis für das Zimmer auch ein Motorroller enthalten war konnten wir diesen Strand recht gut erreichen.

You are paying for a sun chair 40 THB per person which is everywhere on Koh Larn.

The big advantage at Samae beach, it is quiet no speed boats who makes the smell from carbon.

Another great beach in the far side if the island. There's a nice swing at one end of the beach, good for photos.

หาดแสม (Samae Beach) อยู่ทางทิศตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ของเกาะล้าน เป็นหาดทรายยาวประมาณ 700 เมตร มีโขดหินและพื้นป่าที่ค่อนข้างสมบูรณ์มีความสวยงามเงียบสงบ เหมาะสำหรับการพักผ่อนและการเล่นน้ำ แม้จะมีทรายไม่ขาวสะอาดเท่าหาดเทียนและหาดสังวาลย์ แต่ก็ยังนับว่าสวยงามมีน้ำทะเลสีครามและหาดทรายที่ดูสะอาด ปัจจุบันมีการปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์โดยร้านค้าในบริเวณทำเป็นจุดให้ลูกค้าได้ถ่ายรูป รวมทั้งพื้นที่โดยรอบยังมีการปลูกต้นไม้ สร้างลานอเนกประสงค์ อาคารร้านค้าร้านขายอาหารที่ดูได้มาตรฐาน หาดนี้มีเส้นทางที่สามารถเดินทางไปมาได้ง่ายอย่างสะดวกไม่ดูอันตรายเท่าหาดอื่น ๆ จึงมีนักท่องเที่ยวเข้ามาพักผ่อนเป็นจำนวนมากโดยเฉพาะชาวต่างชาติแถบยุโรป ในบริเวณใกล้เคียง เป็นที่ตั้งของ อาคารปลากระเบน ที่สร้างเพื่อควบคุมการผลิตไฟฟ้าด้วยกังหันลมและเซลล์แสงอาทิตย์ แต่คาดว่าคงไม่ประสบความสำเร็จ ถูกทิ้งร้างไปน่าเสียดายงบประมาณประเทศ

One of the nicer beaches on the island. Bars, restaurants, sun loungers. Thai standard toilets. Turquoise water and gorgeous soft sand. Access from the port by motorcycle or tuk-tuk. But you may rent speed boat in Pattaya and travel there directly. The prices are rather high. Make your shopping on 7/11. The Tawaen Beach shop is closed. Only the second store remains.

Beautiful place. But whole thing is ruined by over priced food. Drop the food price and more people would eat. Bigger profits and better standards. Regardless. The beach is beautiful

สกปรกรกรุงรังไปหน่อย ทั้งเต๊นท์ เก้าอี้นอน ร้านค้า ไม่เป็นระเบียบเลย ทั้งที่ช่วงนี้เป็นช่วงหลังโควิท_19 ผู้คนนักท่องเที่ยวน้อย น่าจะถือโอกาสพัฒนาปรับปรุงให้ดีกว่านี้ได้ งบประมาณเมืองพัทยาก็มีเยอะถึงเยอะมากอยู่แล้ว

หาดสวย ช่วงนี้สงบมาก ถ้าใครจะเช่าชูชีพเล่นน้ำตัวละ 100 บ. แต่แนะนำให้เช้าเรือพายครับ 300 บ. /ชม. นั่งได้ 3 คน (มีชูชีพให้ 3 ตัว)
