We were lucky enough to be there for a ceremony with a big celebration. We were greeted so warmly there! Very wonderful people and a very beautiful temple with fantastically beautiful wall decorations. A special place.

Neat little temple along the 107 which links Chiangmai to Mae Sai. This is one of the numerous temples along this route. It's undergoing renovation and extremely peaceful and quiet. What is nice about this temple is that it has a Thep Tang Chai (Deity who grants your wish) or Bubuji (Nat, Grandfather). Locate the statue of Thep Tang Chai, offer joss sticks, make a wish, climb up the stairs and touch your forehead against his index finger. If your wish comes true, you will have to make another trip here to thank the deity. He can also be found in Mae Sai or Yangon. There's another temple Wat Thaton where you can find this deity. He originates from Burmese Buddhism. Very powerful supernatural being who is revered and respected.
