ที่สำคัญ หากท่านมาเดินถนนคนเดินตอนกลางคืน สามารถเข้ามาใช้บริการห้องน้ำในวัดได้นะคะ เดินตามป้ายมาได้เลยค่ะ ค่าบริการคนละ 5 บาท ห้องน้ำสะอาด มีไฟสว่าง ไม่น่ากลัวค่ะ

For me it is one of the most beautiful temples because it is not overcrowded - on Wednesdays and Saturdays you can attend a meditation course at 9: 00 in the morning and learn about Buddhism

Beautiful small temple! The monks were so welcoming and nice and explained so many things to my kids about Buddhism!

วัดทุงยูสันนิษฐานว่าสร้างเมื่อปี พ. ศ. 2019 เดิมชื่อ วัดตุงยู สังกัดคณะสงฆ์มหานิกาย เป็นวัดเก่าแก่สมันราชวงศ์เม็งราย ได้รับการบูรณะและฟื้นฟูจากเจ้าหลวงเชียงใหม่สืบต่อมาดังปรากฏใน พ. ศ. 2552 เจ้าอินทเวโรรสสุริยะวงศ์ เจ้าหลวงเชียงใหม่ องค์ 8 โปรดให้สร้างฉัตรพระเจดีย์ วัดทุงยูสร้างมาประมาณ400 กว่าปี คำว่าทุงยู ปรากฏในวรรณกรรม และกฎหมายโบราณ หมายถึง ร่มที่เป็นเครื่องประดับยศเจ้านาย พบชื่อในโคลงนิราศหริภุญไชยซึ่งเขียนเมื่อประมาณ พ. ศ. 2060

Like other visitors, I came here by chance, it was on my way.

Came by accident and met one of the volunteer, it was a really great experience, we learned a lot about the Thai culture thanks to him.

This place was a happy surprise to us. We stumbled upon it during our walk around Chiang Mai. 'Wii', who's volunteering there, explained to us about Buddhism, the architecture, the paintings on the wall and invited us to a meditation session which he holds twice a day for free for anyone interested in learning more about meditation. It was a very nice experience.

Amazing temple!

We stumbled upon the hidden temple by accident. Wii a volunteer was so welcoming and friendly. He explained all about buddism to us, showed us how they bow and the movements. His knowledge and enthusiasm was wonderful he made this visit to the temple unforgettable. Thank you. Very pretty temple so welcoming.

Historic Buddhist Temple in Chiang Mai's Old City. This Wat holds weekly class/discussion (in English) on Buddhism.

I was very lucky to find this beautiful temple and meet Veerayuth who is a volunteer there. He was so kind and took a lot of time to explain me everything about the history of the temple and the stunning paintings inside. He also explained a lot about Buddhism in general and patiently answered all my questions. I had a lovely time and learned so much thanks to him. I highly recommend to visit the temple and if you are as lucky as me you might meet Veerayuth as well.

Small Temple, the Ordination Hall is closed, but the Assembly Hall is open and worth seeing. Lovely wooden structure, colourful murals and beautiful embossed shutters along the sides of the main hall.

วัดเล็ก ๆ ในตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ ร่มเย็น เงียบสงบ รอบ ๆ ยังมีอีกหลายวัด นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถเดินเยี่ยมชม กราบไหว้บูชาเพื่อเป็นสิริมงคลแก่ชีวิตได้

อัพเดท ส. ค. 2020. สำหรับการมาพบพระอาจารย์ตอนเช้ามืด แนะนำรอนอกวัด ตรงประตูฝั่งซอยเล็กๆ ที่ตรงข้ามเป็น รร. สอนพิเศษ ที่ประตูวัดจะมีป้ายแนะนำการจัดคิว! หากมาก่อนตี 4 ให้ลำดับคิวกันเอง. พอตี 4 เป๊ะ จะมีศรัทธาวัดมาเปิดประตูให้ และแจกบัตรคิวให้คนที่เราลำดับคิวกันไว้ค่ะ. ระหว่างรอ ยุงจะเยอะหน่อย ควรพกยากันยุงมาด้วย. คิวแรกเริ่มได้พบอาจารย์ตอน 04: 15 น. ส่วนเราและเพื่อนคิว 5 6 7 ได้พบตี 05.00 - 05.40 ค่ะ

สำหรับใครที่จะตั้งใจจะไปพบพระอาจารย์หรือเปลี่ยนชื่อ ประตูวัดจะเปิดตอนตีสี่ก็จริง แต่ควรไปก่อน ถ้าวันธรรมดาไปถึงประมาณตีสามน่าจะได้คิว แต่ถ้ามาจากทางไกลและพลาดไม่ได้ให้มารอตั้งแต่เที่ยงคืน ที่รอจะเป็นซอยข้างวัด (ราชดำเนิน ซอย7) ซึ่งจะมีอีกประตูหนึ่ง เห็นรถจอดข้างกำแพงต่อๆกันสันนิฐานได้ว่ามาพบพระอาจารย์แน่นอน ให้สอบถามเพื่อตกลงจัดลำดับกันเองก่อนจะรับคิวจริงๆกับผู้ดูแลที่จะมาเปิดประตูวัด ในปีที่ไป (2563/2020) รับ20คิวเท่านั้น ขอให้ทุกคนโชคดีค่ะ
