Wat Pong Noi

Wat Pong Noi is located in Moo 13, Baan San Lem Joy. Wat Pong Noi is one of the oldest temple. In the past Wat Pong Noi has prosperity and deterioration. Wat Pong Noi having been in a deserted templefor a long time during the second world war in 1942-1943, the Japanese troops have taken possession of the temple to be used as accommodation. Therefore, the temple fell into disrepair then Wat Pong Noi was repair after the Japanese troops lost the war.

Beautiful temple but lots of aggressive guard dogs which makes it quite unwelcoming. Why do monks need guard dogs? Thought they weren't supposed to own anything.

วัดโป่งน้อยหาง่าย ถ้ามาจากในเมืองอาจจะมาตามถนนเลียบคลองชลประทานแล้วเลี้ยวขวาที่สีแยกอบตสุเทพ วิ่งเข้าไปประมาณ 5 นาทีจะเห็นวัดอยู่ข้างหน้า ฝั่งซ้ายมือของวัดมีทางเข้าหมู่บ้านสันลมจอย หน้าวัดมีร้านขายอาหารช่างบ่ายแกถึงเย็นค่ะ

วัดโป่งน้อยอยู่ในเมืองเชียงใหม่อากาศร่มรื่นมี ต้นไม้ใหญ่ร่มรื่น และมีตลาดนัด มีพ่อค้าแม่ค้าขายของมากมายราคา ย่อมเยาว์ เป็นอาหารพื้นบ้าน ใช้จ่ายสะดวกค่ะ

Brilliant temple! Some weekends there seemed to be a market where locals would go and shop for all sorts, fruits, second hand clothes and food!

The monastery playing tradional music with kids singing and buddhist kids and monks sweeping the grounds!

A must see visit if you are ever nearby!

Market only everning saturday and monday.

Super interesting temple off the main tourist trail. Although small it packs an interesting history and beautiful architecture. There is a collection of places to eat and drink near the temple, and two local markets that are popular with locals for food and locally made items. Worth a visit to the temple, nearby coffee house and then the market which can easily make up a good Saturday afternoon and evening exploration.

เป็นวัดที่สงบ สะอาด ร่มรื่น มีการแสดงธรรมเทศนาทุกวันพระ และพุทธศาสนิกชนมาร่วมทำบุญ ตักบาตรทุกวันพระ

Temple that is bit far away from chiang mai but if you have time, you can come here, visit the village and vidit this temple and wat umong
