Wat Mok Khan Lan

Creepy, poorly maintained wat. The giant Buddha statue you see from the highway is covered with hornets’ nests.

Came here by chance after seeing the big "sleeping buddha" from afar, so decided to find our way here by map. You can drive up to certain height, 1st stop is another temple, then further drive up through the "arch doorway" to the actual temple. But still required to make a short climb, not suitable for people with leg problem.
There are dragon and dinosaur along the way, which is not part of the buddha's teaching, just to keep those children entertained. And there are some taoist sculpture as well.depicting hell and punishment.
When you climb up to the sleeping buddha, you can literally be under inside the praying area.
Look closely at the head and you will see the "poor maintained head of the statue" are actually bee hives, lots and big ones, though no bees are around.bits and pieces of the hives have fallen off as well. Quiet place for a stroll, no crowd or bustling tourist.

Lot of mythological sculptures; giant reclining Buddha with the valley behind. Not well maintained but hardly any tourists makes it worth taking a stroll in the park.

ใหญ่มากพระนอนแต่สร้างองค์พระไม่ค่อยสวยเท่าไหร่ ขาดการดูแลรักษา รอบๆบรรยากาศเงียบและสงบดี มองเห็นวิวเมืองจอมทองทั้งหมด

วัดดอยโมคคัลลาน อยู่ในอำเภอจอมทอง เชียงใหม่ เลยตัวอำเภอจอมทองมาประมาณสัก 5 กิโลเมตรครับ ก่อนทางขึ้นดอยที่จะผ่านไปยังอำเภอฮอด

เป็นที่ประดิษฐานพระนอนองค์ใหญ่และเจ้าแม่กวนอิม ด้านบนจะมองเห็นวิวของอำเภอจอมทองอย่างชัดเจน ตัววัดมีความเงียบสงบ เหมาะแก่การไปนั่งสมาธิที่ใต้ฐานพระนอน ถ้าผ่านผ่านมาทางนี้อย่าลืมมาไหว้พระเพื่อเป็นสิริมงคลก่อนที่จะเดินทางต่อไปนะครับ
