มากราบไหว้ได้ครับ เป็นวัดเก่าแก่ที่ไม่ใหญ่มาก แต่เต็มไปด้วยกลิ่นไอความเก่าและโบราณสถานที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์

It seems like a well-managed temple.

Wat Ket Karam is a nice temple, with beautiful, detailed ornaments. It's a sight to appreciate

This temple dog bites people, pay attention to the black and fat one, the monk will ignore it when he sees it

Small temple but rich with history.

Look at the details in each building.they show, how the artists worship their craft work and their believe.

We visit the place to pick up our luck a bit, I do pray out loud one time and I think the luck do work for one day, well, other day another story, right.

วัดเกตการาม หรือวัดเกตุ อยู่ภายในชุมชนคนอนุรักษ์ริมแม่น้ำปิง ที่ตั้งอยู่ติดวัด มีพิพิธภัณฑ์วัดเกต ที่เก็บรวบรวมข้าวของเครื่องใช้โบราณของชาวล้านนาที่หาชมได้ยาก รวมถึงรูปภาพเก่าในอดีตของเมืองเชียงใหม่ แสดงให้เห็นถึงวัฒนธรรมเชียงใหม่กว่าร้อยปี ภาพเหตุการณ์สำคัญๆต่างๆ และที่นี่ยังเป็นที่ประดิษฐานของพระเกศแก้วจุฬามณี ที่จำลองมาจากองค์จริงที่ประดิษฐานอยู่บนสวรรค์ชั้นดาวดึงส์ ซึ่งพระธาตุเจดีย์องค์นี้ เป็นพระธาตุนักษัตรประจำปีจอ

เป็นวัดที่ถือว่า เป็นที่ตั้งหนึ่งใน 12 นักษัตร คือเกตุแก้วจุฬามณี เพราะมีชื่อคล้องจองพอดีเป็นวัดที่สร้างมา ยาวนานแล้ว ปฏิมากรรม ไทยจีน ได้รับการ จดทะเบียนโดยกรมศิลปากรเรียบร้อยแล้ว

This temple was mentioned in a series of historical novel that I've been reading. I didn't expect it to be this beautiful and colourful. During my visit, I also met the production team of my favourite cultural documentary.

Build in1971 BE (Buddhist​era) ​. A museum​ was also found inside the temple. I walk by the temple today and found a school was holding some function insude the temple.

Wat Ket Karam
The gates of many temples in Chiang Mai are inconspicuous, but it is a temple with a long history. The Chinese name is: Gegalang Temple. It has a history of more than 580 years and is located in the old city of Pinghe. By chance, I walked into the quiet and peaceful temple.
The architecture of Wat Ket Karam is not entirely in the Lanna style of northern Thailand. It obviously has elements of Chinese style and traces of European style. This fusion shows a unique and diverse atmosphere. There is a museum in the temple. People whose zodiac is a dog are most suitable to visit the Buddha relic. The White Tower is under restoration.

There are colorful fluorescent lights flowing on the main hall and eaves, warm and dazzling like shells. I was guided into the quiet and peaceful temple. In just 20 minutes, the time is in a hurry, I can't bear to leave, I will find time to come back and feel it carefully

It is a small temple located near the Ping River in Chiang Mai. It was a temple I visited because it was near Warorot Market, but it was okay.
Business hours are from 6am to 6pm
No entrance fee. Even the managers are not there.
So, the clothes are also free.
Seeing more locals than tourists
It is recommended to be polite while sightseeing.
European tourists who were there when I went
I went in slippers and short shorts,
Still no touch.

It was pretty because it was a wooden building, and it was good to avoid the hot sun because there was a lot of shade.
It was fun to look at the various flower pots that were grown beautifully.
There is ample parking and free toilets.
It is a temple built over 400 years ago.
For those born in the Year of the Dog? It is called such a temple.

It's cool enough to come on purpose. It's not like this, but if you're going to places near Ping River, Warorot, or Muang Mai, it looks good to stop by.

The architecture are fantastic indeed!
The place might get busy in the evening as well as during the weekend and public holidays.
You might find many tourists compare to locals during certain time.
Might want to avoid this area if you would like to be surrounded with locals.

วัดเกตการาม วัดงามย่านเมืองเก่าใกล้น้ำปิง ไหว้ “พระธาตุอินทร์แขวนจำลอง” ในตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ที่คนส่วนใหญ่ไม่รู้

“พระธาตุอินทร์แขวนจำลอง” ที่สร้างอยู่ทั่วทุกภาคของประเทศไทยนั้น มีต้นกำเนิดมาจากประเทศเมียนมาร์ คนเมียนมาร์เรียกว่า “ไจก์ทิโย”

สำหรับจุดที่ตั้ง “พระธาตุอินทร์แขวนจำลอง” นั้น ให้เดินอ้อมวิหารไปทางด้านขวามือ เดินไปจนถึงด้านหลังวิหาร จะสังเกตเห็น “พระธาตุอินทร์แขวนจำลอง” องค์ขนาดเล็ก ประดิษฐานอยู่บนเขามอที่ทำด้วยหินชนิดต่าง ๆ จากถ้ำ

ด้านล่างมีสระเล็ก ๆ เก๋งจีนและรูปปั้นเทพเจ้าจีนอยู่โดยรอบ จุดที่ประดิษฐานองค์พระธาตุอยู่สูงจากพื้นดินประมาณ 2 เมตร เป็นปูนเปลือยไม่ทาสี ปลียอดเป็นพุ่มดอกไม้ทองประดับอยู่

นอกจากนี้เป็นที่ประดิษฐานของพระเกศแก้วจุฬามณี ที่จำลองมาจากองค์จริงที่ประดิษฐานอยู่บนสวรรค์ชั้นดาวดึงส์ ซึ่งพระธาตุเจดีย์องค์นี้ เป็นพระธาตุนักษัตรประจำปีจอ

การเดินทางโดยรถยนต์ส่วนตัวสามารถขับจากตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ตรงมาที่สะพานนวรัตน์ ข้ามสะพานแล้วให้เลี้ยวซ้ายเลียบตามถนนเจริญราษฎร์ (ถนนริมน้ำปิง) ประมาณ 500 เมตร จะเห็นวัดอยู่ฝั่งขวามือ หรือสามารถนั่งรถสองแถวแดงจากสถานีขนส่งอาเขต เชียงใหม่ มาลงที่หน้าวัดเกตการามได้ ค่าโดยสาร 15 บาท

เปิดตั้งแต่เวลา 6.00 – 18.00 น.
มีที่จอดรถในวัด

พระธาตุเจดีย์เกษแก้วจุฬามณี (พระธาตุปีจอ) ณ วัดเกตการาม วัดโบราณย่านเมืองเก่าอายุร่วมๆ 600 ปี ภายในวัดมีพิพิธภัณ์ของเก่าของโบราณด้วยครับ วัดสงบร่มเย็นดี ชุมชนแถบนี้ถูกจัดให้เป็นพื้นที่ท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์และท่องเที่ยวทางวัฒนธรรมของเชียงใหม่ นอกจากนั้นวัดแห่งนี้ก็ได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นโบราณสถานมาได้ 40 ปีแล้วนะครับ
