Wat Chiang Chom (Wat Chedi Plong)

A very pleasant wat situated in well maintained gardens and a quiet location with good parking inside the wat grounds. Very historically interesting stupa and prayer halls. Well worth a visit

It is very hot outside, but the temple is very quiet and cool. There are almost no people. It is very easy to visit. There is a shining golden reclining Buddha and a smiling young novice monk holding a prosperous fortune. The Buddha Pagoda in the temple is a historic site, and there should be at least several of them. It has a history of hundreds of years, but the original temple was destroyed, leaving only it. Later, with the help of the surrounding villagers and the Shuanglong Temple pair, the temple was rebuilt around it. The ashes of the deceased can be placed on the wall and can be visited.visit

เป็นวัดเก่าแก่ครับโบสถ์แต่ละหลังมีลวดลายวิจิตร์สวยงาม ภายในวัดสะอาและสงบร่มรื่นเหมาแก่การไปกราบไหว้พระสวดมนต์และนั่งสมาธิครับ

หนึ่งในอดีตวัดร้างที่แอบซ่อนตัวอยู่เงียบๆ จนเมื่อปี พ. ศ. 2547 จากโบราณสถานที่หลงเหลืออยู่เพียงชิ้นเดียวคือ เจดีย์ป่อง ก่อนได้รับการบูรณะเรื่อยมา จนกลายมาเป็นวัดเชียงโฉม ในปัจจุบัน แต่ยังมีตำนาน ที่ซ่อนอยู่ เพียงรอวันผู้สนใจเข้าไปเยี่ยมชม

วัดเล็กๆเก่าแก่ที่คงเหลือเพียงเจดีย์และสิ่งหักพังอีกเล็กน้อย ต่อมาชาวบ้านได้รวบรวมเงินและพัฒนาจนเป็นวัด

Visited the place for a friends funeral. The prayer ceremony was held here before the cremation.
Very clean, well maintained, peaceful and easily accessible from all sides.
The prayer ceremony was also good.
The resting or reclining Buddha is a beautiful representation and quite appealing.

Near the canal and historical gate, this temple is not as crowded as the ones near the centre. It's not huge but it's a welcome respite. Buddhist or not it offers solace.

This Temple is set within a quiet area and spacious grounds. Average as far as Temples go, I wouldn't go out of your way to see it, but could combine with several others nearby to make it a worthwhile visit.
Nice reclining Buddha and the Assembly Hall is open to visitors.

สวยงาม น่าไปชมอีกค่ะ ไปตอนกลางวันนะ ขนาดไปตอนหัวค่ะ (ไปงานขาวดำ) ค่ะยังรู้สึกถึงความอลังการ เป็นหนึ่งในวัดดอยที่มาพัฒนา

คนเมืองเรียกว่า"วัดเจดีย์ปล่อง" เป็นวัดที่สวยงามทางสถาปัตยกรรม. ทรงระฆังคว่ำผสมกับมีช่องคล้ายปล่องมีพระพุทธรูปเข้าใจว่ายืนอยู่โดยรอบ. น่าเสียดายที่กาลเวลาบุกรุกการเข้ามาอยู่อาศัยฯ
ถ้าตั้งอยู่ในที่ขอบเขตบริเวณโล่งแจ้งจะสวยงามมาก.

เป็นวัดโบราณที่ได้รับการอุปถัมภ์โดยวัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพปรับปรุงให้สวยงามร่มรื่น มีเจดีย์ปล่องเป็นสัณลักษ์ที่สำคัญของวัด

Nothing really special about this place for camera shots. Reclining buddha status is small but that the main hall for blessing.

วัดเก่าแก่สร้างในสมัยพญาติโลกราช สักการะพระเจดีย์ปล่อง เป็นเจดีย์ทรงกลมเหนือขึ้นไปเป็นชั้นกลมย่อ 7 ชั้น มีซุ้มพระพุทธรูปโดยรอบ

Chedi Plong also called Chiang Chom temple is known for its characteristics of having many buddha statues around; only three temples in Chiang Mai have this interesting feature such as Chiang Rak temple and Chiang Yeun; all these temples are outside the moat. It is nice little peaceful temple which have beautiful thai art on church's window. Also a small house in temple for old people from this community to do some activites together.
