Wat Chang Taem

The wat is across from my language school, so I often walk in front the wat. It’s really giant and beautiful. But I didn’t have visit it. I’m going to visit there inside and take some good photo in the future.

Wat Chang Taem means “the Temple of 10,000 drops of rain”. It is the home of the Fon Saen Ha Buddha which is over 1,000 years old.

The temple itself is not of outstanding interest, except for the old Buddha image, containing a viharn and a chedi, so many people will walk past it.

วัดสวย มีพระพุทธรูปที่มีความสำคัญต่อชาวเชียงใหม่ เชื่อว่า สามารถทำให้ฝนตกตามฤดูกาลได้ #พระเจ้าฝนแสนห่า

Since there are a lot of temples, the pictures are mixed up. When you walk around, it seems like there is a place. Wherever you go, except for the big temples, it's a great place to cool off. Take care of your health and mind!

I went to this noodle restaurant after looking at the diligent and neat owners! The Michelin-starred Khao Soi next door is delicious, but the Tom Yum Noodles here are no better!

Very close to city center which makes it worth stopping by, but it’s not anything special compared to some others.

พระวิหาร หลังคาซ้อนกัน ๓ ชั้น แบบล้านนาประยุกต์ ภายในประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัย5 องค์ แต่ละองค์มีพระพักตร์ที่ไม่เหมือนกัน ด้านหลังพระประธานมีลายปูนปั้นซุ้มโขง และธรรมจักรสีทองที่สวยงาม ตัดกับพื้นหลังสีแดง เบื้องหน้ามี เชิงเทียน ที่แกะสลักจากไม้เป็นรูปพญาครุฑ และพญานาคประดับด้วยกระจกหลากสีงดงามอ่อนช้อยมาก

Interested to see a Buddhist teaching class in progress when I arrived. Not too much to see on this site, but the Assembly Hall is open and worth viewing. Beautiful gold inlays on the window shutters of this building.

อยากให้ช่วยแก้ไขที่ตั้งด้วยครับ ถนน "ถนนพระปกเกล้า ตำบลพระสิงห์ 50200" ไม่ใช่ถนนเจริญประเทศ ตำบลช้างคลาน ครับ

วัดช่างแต้มสร้างเมื่อ พ. ศ. 2038 – 2069 (ประมาณ 400 กว่าปี) เดิมชื่ดวัดช่างต้อมแต้มกว้างท่าช้างพิงชัย สร้างในสมัยพระเจ้าติโลกราช พระวิหารสวยมากครับ เจดีย์ล้านนาสวยอีกเช่นกัน แนะนำครับ

A beautiful Temple on your way to Wat Shedi Luang

We were in Chiang Mai for 5 days last November for Yi Peng and Loy Krathong (Lantern Festival), and we had planned a 3 day Temple circuit in the Old City.

We had pin pointed the most famous ones like Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara and Wat Phra Singh which are amazing, and we were on our way from our hotel to this last one which is just a few hundred meters from it
There are endless beautiful Temples in the Old City of Chiang Mai and this one, although not in the top 5 famous ones, was however a beautiful one to stop by.

I'll attach a few pictures that I hope will make you feel like visiting this one as well.

Nice temple, Historic place

There are many temples in Chiang Mai, but this is one of my favorites. It is also off the beaten track from most tourist programs, making for a quieter more peaceful visit. One of 75 temples located inside the Old City, this one is popular with locals and Buddhist devotees in particular, as it contains the Fon Saen Ha Buddha which is over 1,000 years old. The temple meaning translates as “10,000 drops of rain” and it plays a central role in the annual Lak Mueang festival or Inthakhin Festival, when the Chiang Mai city pillar, which is kept in Wat Chei Luang, is venerated. Worth adding to your must visit places, particularly early mornings.
