It was a valuable and wonderful yoga experience that I had never experienced before. Definitely recommended if you want to do yoga in Chiang Mai.

First of all, the movement using many tools was new and very fun. The teachers, Nit and Fred, are friendly and the classroom atmosphere is bright and comfortable.
He looks at each person carefully and gives accurate instructions. For example, I learned a lot about how just slightly changing the angle of your feet can increase the amount of pleasant stimulation to your body. She kindly teaches me poses I've never tried before, such as turning upside down on a rope, and once I get the hang of it, I can do it the second time around. It's fun. It was really different from the yoga you do at gyms in Japan. It was new and fun.

The location was outside, although there was a roof, so I felt comfortable with the pleasant breeze, the chirping of birds, and the beautiful flowers and greenery blooming outside.

I will definitely come again if I come to Chiang Mai again.thank you very much.

I can't say enough nice things about this studio. I did aerial yoga over a few weeks and absolutely loved it! The classes are small and Nit is a fantastic teacher. I got a 10 class pass and did a couple of classes a week - by the end I felt really comfortable and was able to do some pretty cool poses. Highly recommend for anyone who has ever wanted to try aerial yoga or wants to practice whilst in Chiang Mai. The prices are very good compared to Western classes so its a great place to try: D Thanks Nit!

BEST PLACE EVER!

Nit & Freddie (the teachers) are absolutely amazing people.
Every class is different and complete in its own way. They really cover a work in all of the parts of your body you don’t even know that exist sometimes.
Satva is like a place I can call home in Chiang Mai and I would absolutely recommend it to everybody, whether you are already practicing yoga or not.
The alignment created in the body and the flow of the classes is spectacular.
Thank you

Did an aerial yoga class. Was fun. The teacher (she) followed a relaxed teaching method. As far as we were concerned nobody felt ashamed of trying out new stuff (which is not always easi with an heterogeneous class). Everybody tried out and the teacher gave good tips and supported everyone. Very good atmosphere.
And, it is a beatiful outside studio!

It was very personalized, I discovered I was doing some poses wrong all the time:). There was one extra teacher just to adjust our poses. Great place to learn proper asanas, become more flexible, also friendly and joyful atmosphere. However, I felt like in a gym a little bit and couldn't go more into myself, I prefer more flow-y, moving with the breath lessons. But I'd definitely go there from time to time if I'd be staying longer in the city.

It's our first time visiting Chiang Mai. Our family of 3 decided to try Satva yoga. Nit is such a warm, patient, and dedicated teacher. She knew our body's strengths and weaknesses by encouraging us to try some challenging moves. I never imagined I could do some moves like that. It's truly liberating! The studio is also very beautiful and serene. Thanks for the great teaching and welcoming environment that truly resonate with our experience in Chiang Mai.

I rate Satva Yoga Chiang Mai 5 stars on the following aspects particularly:

1, Outstanding professionalism: In addition to excellent personal Yoga skills and friendliness that most teachers process in this industry, the couple-teachers Freddy and Nit at Satva Yoga have vast knowledge about using different props, particularly inversion sling, to help students isolate and improve the bottleneck (s) in each pose, therefore beginners to advanced yogis can always benefit a lot in every class.

2, Great studio environment; Large semi open-space studio with 100% natural airflow, beautiful garden adjacent to the studio with birds and butterflies visiting from time to time.

3, Attention to students: The teacher can always identify every student's FIRST bottleneck for improvement in every pose, improvement advice is suggested and demonstrated on the spot before moving on to the next pose.

4, Stable teacher resources – though small scale, I say Satva is indeed a devoted Iyengar Yoga academy instead of just-another-yoga-studio, there is always either one of the same couple-teachers doing the teaching whenever you come to any classes (usually Nit, the wife). It is not like other co-working-space type of yoga studios that operate by signing up a few visiting or freelance teachers who fill in the teaching spaces on a weekly or monthly rotating schedule.

5, Teaching objectives: The teachers aim at equipping you with the necessary Yoga knowledge and skills so that you can do the asanas by yourself correctly and safely at home, not simply showing you what poses you can do or imitate in the 1.5 hours.

A little more about my experience with Satva Yoga Chiang Mai.

I was an absolute yoga beginner with no more than 20 casual holiday-resort kinda yoga class experience in my whole past 40+ years of life.

My whole body is stiff as a wooden plank here and there and the situation only got worse after I went thru a hip surgery 18 months ago. I was looking to focus on improving the overall flexibility of my body by attending yoga classes intensively when I was in Chiang Mai between May & June 2022.

Before reaching Satva Yoga, I went to 4 other studios in Chiang Mai for 9 classes, learning from 5 different teachers. They were all excellent yogis, yet I only saw very little improvement in myself, more often than not finding myself puzzled by many different Asanas in those fast-paced flows in different classes.

The reason I came to Satva the last, simply because Satva did not do as much digital marketing as other studios in Chiang Mai would do, I spotted the name Satva Yoga only after ruling out the other names that I already tried.

I attended 13 classes at Satva across 3 weeks between late May and June, doing around 4 classes a week on average. At the end I saw flexibility of my different body parts improved significantly, also I learned a lot of essential Yoga skills that I can really do by myself at home. I guess the attached collage picture of myself in Full Wheel Pose speak better then words.

I left Chiang Mai happily with improved flexibility in my body and I have already planed on returning to Satva two months later for further improvements. I highly recommend Satva Yoga Chiang Mai to all of you.

I was introduced to Satva Yoga by an Italian friend of mine who has a lot of knowledge about yoga and teaches yoga classes in Rome, Italy.
She recommended me to try Satva, because for her Satva was the best place to learn - with the teacher, Nit. In her words Nit is the best yoga teacher she has had, she is so precise about teaching you.

My experience is that I have found a wonderful place to practice yoga in a beautiful studio (old Lanna style wooden house), many props to help work on body poses. The setting is very comfortable.

Nit is very thorough to look at each person's strengths and weaknesses and genuinely she wants to help you improve your body's flexibility and strength.

There is not a focus on spiritual yoga - more like a fusion of yoga and pilates. That works great for me.
But I feel my spirit and body thoroughly invigorated!

I think you should try this place out - definitely.

It’s an amazing a welcoming studio that feels more like home than any other studio I’ve visited. Nit is a very supportive teacher for students at every level. The plethora of yoga props is abundant and useful
