Fantastic sunset rooftop bar in Chiang Mai. Worth to visit even you’re not staying in the hotel.

Reserve two standard rooms
It was next to the road, so it was noisy in the evening (across from Woocafe)
But when it's good it's fine
The room didn't have a bathtub, but that didn't matter.a guest
Maybe because it was small, the breakfast was optional, but it was too greasy.

The pool was too small to use.nice

Price - performance is not right, pay too much! Especially a room without a balcony with a window that doesn't open onto the main street. I had to reprogram the safe every time I opened it. Breakfast only a la carte, no tea, only coffee. Rooftop pool ok.
The staff were very helpful and friendly! The food in the restaurant in the evening was very fine!

สถานที่ตั้งอยู่​ใกล้ร้านดังๆหลาย​แห่ง​ ใกล้ตลาดวโรรสมาก​ บริการดีงาม​ มีสปาบริการด้วย​ ห้องพักมีความสะดวก​สบายครบครัน​ น้ำแรงใช้ได้​ สะอาดและเสียงไม่ดังรบกวน​ อยู่ติดริมน้ำปิง​ ห้องอาหารหวานละมุนที่อยู่​ติดกัน​ อาหารอร่อยทุกอย่าง​ค่ะ​ สั่งมาทานที่ห้องได้​ สะดวกมากๆ​ อาหารเช้ามีให้เลือก​ 4ชุดพร้อมชา​ กาแฟและน้ำส้ม​ อร่อยพอดี​ เสียอย่างเดียวที่จอดรถน้อยไปหน่อย​ เพราะใช้ร่วมกับร้านอาหาร​ ถ้าเอารถออกไปกลับมาอาจหาที่จอดได้ยากสักหน่อย​ เป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีในการมาพักในเมืองเชียงใหม่​ค่ะ
ห้องพักน่าจะเหมาะกับคู่รัก​ เพราะมีอ่างอาบน้ำอยู่​กลางห้องมีแค่ม่านบางๆกั้น​

อาหารเช้าที่ต้องเลือกชุด เราชอบทานอาหารอย่างละนิดละหน่อย (ก็เข้าใจจำนวนคนพักกับสภาวะโควิด)

I've been here for cocktails upstairs on the terrace in the evening. Very worthwhile, little clientele, nice ambience. Perfect for rest and relaxation. Prices normal.

I enjoyed my stay at Sala Lanna. The property could do with a bit of TLC & some attention to details, however, the place is cosy & with the view to the river delivers a good feeling of space & being in nature. The staff were friendly & helpful & I would repeat my decision to stay here, although, not sure if the price point is adequate for the overall experience.

Our favourite boutique chain of Hotels in Thailand. Intimate property located right by the river

Last year I had beautiful moments with my friends during sunset, with a nice wine and amazing service. This year I wasn't allowed to enter before 6pm, but the sunset is at 5: 30pm! The lady also told me that I was not staying in the hotel so I had to wait. Nothing was organised, so it was not true. A stupid rule for such a nice spot. Why do you have a rooftop of you can't enjoy the best part of the day, only the dark and lights? ‍️

We had a wonderful stay during Yee Peng. While the hotel was quite busy for the festival, the staff were absolutely wonderful and so helpful during our stay. They were so friendly and very accomodating. The property is really beautiful, with spacious rooms which are well maintained. We particularly loved the garden area which offers many seating areas and overlooks the river. The ‘living room’ space was the perfect, comfortable location for getting a few hours work done and the restaurant offered friendly staff and delicious meals. The made to order breakfast was delicious and filling, and was convenient to order ahead and have ready when we were. We loved the location as well, having previously stayed in the historic centre, we felt this location was so much nicer and had easier access to the less touristy side of Chiang Mai. I highly recommend Sala Lanna and send a big thank you to the team who made our stay so wonderful - and for the beautiful krathong they gave us!

I don’t really review but this place was excellent at my first stay before covid but this time i had to give 2 stars because it was bad.
1. Upon checkin as i walked in, the receptionist are just stares at me until I say “check in” and then they’re starting to talk to me. The only staff that seem to be friendly and nice was the guy at front looking after your car.

2. While staff is showing me the room, this is for me as personally as I don’t like the staff walking in the room with their shoes on and the staff walked in with their shoes on.

3. Sofas at the balcony river view was old and dusty. I can tell as I was sleeping on it. For river view, you can’t see much because a massive tree is in the way. No trims to make it tidy.

4. No hot water! I had to shower in a cold water because I was too tired from travelling 10 hours from bangkok. Therefore I just can’t be bother to ask for a new room or get the staff to come to have a look. I just wanted to go to bed. Also the towels was old.

Luckily the bed was very comfortable, so I had a good night sleep.

เรียนทีมงานผู้บริหารโรงแรมครับ ผมมาพักที่นี่ เพราะมีความประทับใจ ในแบรนด์ Sala จากการที่เคยไปพักที่เขาใหญ่มาก่อน และได้รับประสบการณ์ที่ดีมาก ๆ จากที่นั่น
จากการมาพักที่Sala Lanna เรื่องห้องพักและการบริการอื่น ๆ อยู่ในเกณฑ์ดี หากแต่ ผมมีข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อเป็นโอกาสพัฒนาดังนี้นะครับ
เรื่องอาหาร จากการสอบถามมาทราบว่าทางโรงแรม ใช้บริการอาหารของร้านหวานละมุน ที่อยู่ติดกันแต่คนละเจ้าของ และมีข้อเสนอแนะเกี่ยวกับอาหารมาหลายครั้งแต่ยังคงเกิดปัญหาเดิม ๆ นั่นคือ ปริมาณอาหารเช้าได้น้อย และการรอคอยนานมากแม้จะได้สั่งเมนูอาหารไว้ล่วงหน้าแล้วตั้งแต่ตอนเข้าพัก
ดั่งเช่นตัวผมเองซึ่งเพิ่งมาพักไปและได้สั่งชุดข้าวต้ม พร้อมกับข้าว4อย่าง ไว้และได้ข้อมูลจากพนักงานว่าถ้าไม่อิ่มสามารถเพิ่มข้าวต้มได้
พอถึงตอนเช้าได้พบว่าปริมาณข้าวต้มและกับข้าวน้อยมาก หลังกินข้าวต้ม1ชามหมด จึงได้ขอข้าวต้มเพิ่ม1ถ้วย แต่กลับต้องรอประมาณ15นาที กว่าจะได้ ซึ่งพอแจ้งพนักงานไป เค้าบอกว่าเราจะทำใหม่ทีละorder. คาดว่าคงต้องไปต้มข้าวต้มขาวทีละชามต่อโต๊ะ
หากเป็นเช่นนี้จริง สมควรประสานทางร้านอาหารให้ปรับปรุงเถิดครับ เพราะข้าวต้มขาว สามารถต้มเตรียมไว้ได้ดั่งเช่นร้านข้าวต้มกุ๊ยเค้าทำกัน หรือหากไม่สามารถก้าวก่ายทางร้านได้ควรให้พนักงานโรงแรมสอบถามว่าจ้องการเพิ่มปริมาณอาหารเมนูไหน ต้องการข้าวต้มกี่ชามก็ว่าไป เสียเงินเพิ่มก้อพร้อมจ่าย ดีกว่าต้องมาพบกับความล่าช้าที่ไม่คาดหมาย และอาจทำให้เกิดความหงุดหงิดและรบกวนแผนการท่องเที่ยวของผู้เข้าพักครับ
อย่าทำให้เรื่องเล็ก ๆ น้อย ๆ นี้มาทำให้เวียชื่อแบรนด์ sala เลยนะครับ ขอบคุณครับ

พนักงานบริการดี เอาใจใส่ในทุกเรื่อง
แต่ไม่โอเคกับพื้นห้องอาบน้ำที่เป็นคอนกรีตทาสี ลื่นมาก และไม่มีที่ให้เกาะเลย อันตรายสำหรับผู้สูงอายุและคนชอบดื่ม ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าส่วนอื่นดีไซน์ได้ดี มาพลาดตรงพื้นห้องน้ำ

This place does not feel like a real Sala property though it is. From the dark and dingy reception to the unfriendly and untrained staff, the experience just goes downhill. Rooms are tired and need renovation too.
