Rose's Roadhouse & New York Style Pizza

I have been looking for a good chicken parm for so long in Thailand and finally found it. Dinner was excellent and the owner was beyond friendly. I will definitely be back.

Sadly the pizza here is just not very good. I don’t think the people who make it actually eat it? Or they would know. Also under cooked, and stodgy. And over priced. Best Pizza in chiang mai is 2gether bar

The pizza looks pretty good in the pics but it is not good. The crust is all wrong, with an odd aroma and an off texture. For an over 500 baht pizza it is a horrible deal, sorry to say. This place is associated with Corner Bistro in Chiang Mai, which I learned as we were leaving. Had I known this I would never have tried. Corner Bistro makes terrible food as well, and I think they mostly exist to do whatever they think they can get foreign guests to pay for. Actually right next to Corner Bistro there is a place called Croco pizza that makes a good pizza, where you can get 2 full pizzas for less than the price of one small at this Rose’s place. Anyway, the person working at Rose’s herself said she does not like, or know much about pizza. I know the review is harsh, but someone has to do it. Maybe the other items on the menu here are better but the New York style pizza is not recommended. The reason I give it a one star rather than 2 is the insane price.

Unfortunately bad experience. Fries were undercooked soggy and cold. Boneless wings dry and stale, inedible. 'Buffalo chicken burger' was dry hard stale chicken served on a huge dry stale baguette with nothing else, no mayo nothing.inedible.
Seems like they were cooked days ago.

Burger was nice, mac and cheese was nice, sauces were nice.

Not the best pizza + salad I’ve ever had, but still pretty damn good compared to others in town. I’ll be back to try a dessert next time too!

Don't know what happend. The pizza crust isn't right today.not a ny style pizza at all. Spaghetti is good. Sandwiches always very good

Authentic NY style pizza and other American fare. The portions are huge. A great place to visit if you are craving a New York Slice (this might be the only place in Chiang Mai that you can order pizza by the slice). The salads are also surprisingly good. The pasta dishes are over the top - in a good way. Just make sure you are hungry before you visit.

I’m pregnant so I was craving New York style pizza, we ordered a lot. Pizza was not that bad but I’ve had better (I used to live in the US). Appetizers was very disappointed, we’ve ordered boneless chicken, French fries and fried onion and they were inedible (soggy and greasy) I had a bite on each one of them and that’s it, no more.

My sister called the restaurant, the response is that this is the way they do the food but they can return the money if we want. For me it’s not about the money, it’s about “accept and improve”

So my sister herself send the food back to the restaurant for more understanding towards the complaint and a chance for the restaurant or the chef to get to taste the food and understand the problem but still, the respond was “this is how we cook the food”.

And it’s not about getting a refund, it’s about showing respect and responsibility on what you cook and the customer’s comments, to say at least you are sorry and take it seriously why did the problem occurred. The problem might not be about the chef but might be the time you put hot stuff in the box or you mixed your garlic and then put it in the box which might make it soggy and doesn’t taste as better as eating at the restaurant, Maybe you should separate them and let the customer mixed by themselves?

Pizza, Salad, Mac&cheese are edible.

อาหารอร่อยเหมือนเดิมค่ะ ไม่ได้มานานมากๆ ค่ะ คุณภาพอาหารดีมากเหมือนเดิม ไว้มีโอกาสจะแวะมาใหม่ค่ะ เพราะร้านค่อนข้างไกลจากบ้าน นานๆ ได้แวะมาทีค่ะ

ร้านนี้ชอบมาก อาหาร American style สุดๆ อร่อยจานใหญ่ ให้เยอะ ราคาถูก ขอหักหนึ่งดาว เพราะร้านไม่ค่อยสะอาดเท่าไหร่ ทั้งภายในร้าน และห้องน้ำ ถ้าสะอาดกว่านี้แก้ดาวให้เลยครับ

Update 2022. Downgrading. Not sure what happened but the pizza was doughy and not crispy, not new york style at all. Really sad as this used to be our favorite pizza place. Will upvote if quality improves. Not to be mean just want to review accurately. As a reviewer I need to be accurate and honest.

Amazing pizza, nice and very caring staff.

Hands down the best chicken parmigian sandwich in Chiang Mai. Excellent customer service, they let you substitute if you don't want fries, that is huge. They have a permanent customer in me! Their meatballs remind me of my Italian moms. Amazing!

I want to support local businesses and live 5 mins away, but the Grab order I got was outrageously poor. Two pizzas, one burnt, both with virtually no cheese. Onion rings were so soggy, over cooked and bursting with oil they went straight in the bin after first taste. Clearly other reviews and photos don’t match my experience so I guess I was extremely unlucky or their menu/chef has changed recently.

The BEST food! Mouth-watering foods, quality ingredients, and an owner that is passionate about his foods makes a top-notch restaurant. Highly recommended.

Such good food! The best American food I've had in Chiang Mai. Their BBQ wings and the ribs are phenomenal!

Tender, fall of the bone ribs, smokey, sweet (just right), a little peppery and just perfect. Service is great and the owner is kind and a very experienced restaurateur!

Two starts instead of one because I'll take a minority share of the blame for the disappointment.

I just spent Bt520 on a pepperoni pizza via Grab. This is the most I've spent on a oie in Chiang Mai and this was the only pie that disappointed me.

The crust is unbelievably thick with not much topping so it's like eating bread basically. It's really bad. More sauce and cheese might help this pizza but what am I supposed to do with it. It's hard to eat!

*My responsibility may be a consideration to the restaurant review as a whole. When selecting the pizza on the Grab app there are two choices in a subcategory before you can add to basket. The choices are in Thai only, not English like the rest of the menu. I selected the first one not knowing what it was. My hope is that the two options are for thick and thin crust but how am I to know. If there is a thin crust option I might be inclined to try again. Maybe Rose's will read this review and make things right for this very disappointed customer. +$15 dollars for a pizza that is the worst I've had in 4 months living here.

Excellent pizza, U will pay more for a better product, tho. I, maybe, eat pizza twice a month, so, a better product is worth it to me. Remember, U do actually do pay more for lesser quality
