Muong Mai Market is an ordinary market visited more by locals than tourists.

There are many fruit shops on the outskirts, and the central area mainly sells food ingredients.

This is a locals market where people but food supplies for home or restaurant use. It's not a tourist spot, so don't expect to see much in the way of food cats, snacks and drinks. It is an interesting spot to visit though! You can see the hustle and bustle of the hectic daily shopping that goes on in Chiang Mai.

Fruit market outside is delicious and has good prices! Many places to buy cute hair accessories along the outside!

I Love this cute little coffee shop. I go everytime I shop for vegtables and fruit in the market. A little hard to spot but its directly across fromm the shops that have a lot of bananas in the front. A very nice lady runs it and is always puts the fan on to make sure Im comfortable. If you are shopping across form the U. S. Embassy visit and have a nice refreshing drink, you wont be disapointed.

This market is mainly whole sale from fresh vegetable & fruit market in Chiang Mai. The farmers & the hilltriebs delivery their goods directly from their farms every day. Many owners of the restaurants & hotels in Chiang Mai buy mostly the vegetable & fresh fruit from this market. Because they can not get them at the other local markets and hey're very cheap and good.

Every time I came visit Chiang Mai, I stayed for a couple of months, and became a regular to this vibrant market. You can get many stuff for a really fair price here, from cashew nuts, raisins, pasta to local spices and herbs. There is no alleged organic food stalls, but if you pay more attention, you can find some good quality vegetables, and even free-range chicken. There are quite a few shops selling tofu and mushrooms. If you are vegetarian, you can easily find ingredients for making a good meal. It also provides a chance to reduce plastic use if you bring your own shopping bags or tupperware.

This is a large 24 hour market in Chiang Mai Thailand. This is where businesses and general public shop. They have everything and talk about fresh. You can get fresh curry pastes, coconut milk, chili's, fish, meat, herbs, veggies, anything the Thai home cook uses. The variety and quality are impressive.
