Mala Dhara resort is like a paradise for me. I have been there for a retreat and that's the best decision made so far. P. Ploy, the owner of the place is a super positive person who always fulfil our soul and mind. Various activities are created to help us find ourselves and love ourselves more and more.

The place is really nice, the food is great (vegan), the pets are super friendly both dogs and cats, the staff are so nice and always willing to help us.

If you want to rest and treat yourself with nature, here is the best place and not so far away from Chiang Mai city center.

Beautiful place. Good for retreat. Friendly dog will welcome you from arrival, 2 big bangal cats are so cute. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Has different room types, feels privately. Recommend!

Place is amazing, the decor looks like fantasy world. The entrance was quite difficult but worth a visit.

A seriously stunning place. I went here for the day with some friends and we paid 300 baht for use of the pool all day and a huge, delicious bowl of Khao Soy. The salt water pool is gorgeous and surrounded by nature. A great day out.

Peaceful resort, vegetarian only restaurant. Charge 150 thb for the pool for non guest even if you have meals overthere

Beautiful authentic countryside mountain view of Chiang Mai. That are so many beautiful spots at the resort that you can unwind and just joy the atmosphere. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, very unique decor with so much attention to detail. The food is second to none. In fact it’s the best vegan food ever! Definitely a must stay place in Chiang Mai.

Best place ever for retreat or break/holidays. Home made food is delicious. Activities (yoga, steam bath,) are nice. K Ploy and her amazing staff are so welcoming and nice.

After my workout yesterday, I then headed to Doisaket district, eastern region of Chiang Mai city. My purpose was to meet with a well-known yoga instructor at MalaDhara Yoga retreat center Ploy Energy Flow. The ride from Huey Joe reservoir to Maladhara Yoga retreat center was fantastic eye opening experience, I rode past bunch of villages and Mae Kuam dam. To be honest, my lack of knowledge about way of life of people in the eastern Chiang Mai. The ride along the canal road to the Maladhara yoga retreat center brought up my understanding of what positive impacts that the region will benefit once the macro water turnal project fully finished, Maetaeng -Mae Ghad dam - Mae Kuam dam. One of the greatest positive impacts would be the decline of land waste. Potential increasing of immigrants to the region etc. I arrived at the retreat center early afternoon, I was supper hungry in my tummy! I've ordered "Kao Soi" yellow noodle, oops its Vegan! While I was enjoying delicious supper bowl of Kao Soi Ploy Energy Flow and her crew were energetically plating rice in paddies field nearby her Yoga retreat center. Thousand of paddies were filled, lush and green scenery. Jasmine rice 105 are vastly home here which hints how fettle of soil of this region. Unfortunately, this spiritual yoga center also facing difficult challenge so do as others, struggling in the mid of dim during this dark age! If there any solution that could bring sunshine to this marvelous spiritual center please don't hesitant to message Khun Ploy.

Lovely bungalows and houses in a beautiful settings. View on mountains. Great swimming pool. Nice atmosphere.

Make sure you stay at Mala Dhara organic vegan food home made.unique accommodation salt water lap pool. Step back unwind nurture your spirit 45 minutes out of Chiang Mai.if you want to get back to nature reboot renew and unwind.really worth a stay.

Great Peaceful place for relaxation, excellent meals. I enjoyed a lot the outdoor steamed bath with self scrabbling ingredients like coconut, coffee and sugar - marvelous

Too many insects and pests in the room. Cashier at check-out was a mess. No receipt provided and laster there was an email notification that we left the hotel without payment! Unacceptable service.

Excellent, relaxing, tranquil, aesthetically delightful place with a lovely owner Ploy and her sweet daughter and staff. Really enjoyed my stay at Mala Dara and felt rejeuvanated and restored from my time there. PS the food is simple, quaint wholesome, seasonal vegetarian food and the pool is salt water

One of the best retreat centers in the Chiang Mai region. Ploy is an incredible host and has created a really special place, all from her own vision of what a luxurious eco retreat can be. Incredible food and friendly staff make this an unforgettable home away from home.

Visit frequently for the vegan menu, friendly dogs, tropical surroundings, and salt water pool.
