Lisu Lodge reviews
14 Very very nice, but will it really be eco-friendly? In the room there is a notebook with the explanation of the project: giving work to the village and sharing the proceeds, reducing waste and plastic.
The room is made entirely of bamboo. It is very scenic and well-kept.
Dinner and breakfast on the veranda, surrounded by greenery of vegetable gardens and rice fields. Good and different dishes from the usual ones found in restaurants. Lots of vegetables and you try more things.
Not insignificant cost (€150 per night) to be in Thailand. But it's really beautiful.
They organize bike tours. I recommend visiting the Araksa tea company.
A very special place - peaceful atmosphere as the lodge is located in green nature, very friendly and helpful staff, tasty food and a range of extremely interesting activities.
Definitely one of the top-3 memories of our stay in Thailand.
Tranquil space where you can truly relax surrounded my the sounds of nature. The beds were comfortable and the ac optional as they have screen doors and it gets nice and cool at night here. The only thing that could be improved is the food which was a bit bland. The western breakfast was very heavy with sausages and bacon we had the Thai breakfast the second morning and that was nice with fried rice and some fruit.
Beaucoup trop cher.mauvaise organisation du staff.repas froids.excursions sympa mais beaucoup trop chères
Great quiet place to enjoy nature for a short stay. Beautiful original hand made textile bags, sachets etc by Lisu People. Not to be found even in markets in near-by Chiang Mai.
Gorgeous lodge of bamboo woven and wood buildings mixed with ponds and beautiful views. Great hiking trails and activities nearby. Would highly recommend this perfect getaway
Lisu Lodge is a beautiful place. It’s a collection of immaculately constructed bamboo lodges set in picturesque grounds, in the stunning Thai hills.
The rooms are surprisingly comfortable - you take your shoes off before going up the steps into the lodge, and the woven bamboo floor is lovely underfoot. There’s no air conditioning, but with a fan and the air circulation through and around the building, it wasn’t needed at all - we all slept very well. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need (a good en-suite for example). And it’s fun being in such a different environment! Plus it’s all so well-kept - really clean and well-maintained, from the buildings to the pretty gardens.
We also had some fantastic food, including our best meal so far in Thailand. It’s well-judged with a range of options and heat-levels, so me and my husband (who love spicy food) and our 8 year old (less keen) were all happy. And it was a great experience eating on Thai floor cushions around a low table on our lodge verandah.
For lunch and dinner we were served a range of options (for example dinner was chicken green curry, a mince stir fry, pork ribs, eggs in tamarind, a soup with meatballs, and rice, followed by fruit and banana in coconut milk from their own gardens). For breakfast you could choose American (eggs, bacon, toast), healthy (fruit, yogurt and an incredible toasted granola), or Thai. And it was all delicious!
But the best thing about it was the care and attention of the staff. You could really feel the effort they made to make us feel welcome and comfortable, as well as in looking after the property.
I’m so pleased we decided to come - it’s been one of the highlights of our holiday. And we really enjoyed our rafting trip on the local river while we were here - stunningly beautiful, with (small, not too scary) sections of white water interspersed with calmer sections drifting past friendly picnicking Thai families.
All of Thailand has suffered with the lack of tourists due to Covid - I really hope Lisu Lodge gets the visitors it deserves very soon. We would definitely come back! Highly recommended.
A lovely secluded place to relax surrounded with nature and lovely people. A place to energized yoursekf after a hectic city life.
Lisu lodge set thier site in Baan Ton Lung, Mae Taeng district. The lodge providing hospitality to those who love nature and comunity development. Thier are various activities while residence at lisu lodge such as Lisu village visiting - the purpose is to build a deeper understanding of lisu people. Tea Garden visiting is one of the highlights activities while residence at lisu lodge!
Nice lodge, friendly stuff, very good service, off the tourist track, very close to many elephant parks
Wonderful experience & hospitality. Lots of activities to engage & educate like hill tribe visit, tea plantation walk, rafting & biking through villages.
Lovely place by a rice field, with very nice locals. Very quiet place where you can also get a massage, cycle in the valley or harvest tea leaves and know more about it. I recommend all of them.
What a place! What a view from the lodge! We were lucky enough to be completely alone in the entire lodge so we could fully enjoy the calm and peaceful athmosphere of this magnificent garden. We loved it.
