Chill Chiangdao

The views are spectacular here. I visited during early Feb. It was rather hot in the afternoon but cools off nicely by evening.

The rooms are pretty rustic with many running gaps that provide good ventilation, but also opportunities for insects to enter. But surprisingly, there weren’t too many mosquitoes in the room during my visit. Anyway, a mosquito net is provided for the bed. I totally enjoyed the room, though I can imagine people who are adverse to the wild elements may take a few steps back.

So come prepared that the toilet cum bathroom is very basic too, but functional with decent hot shower.

Food here is good but not spectacular. The staff here are friendly and honest. I do think it’s worth a visit here.

+ + + Very beautiful place and territory! Handmade decoration and flowers, fields and mountains around, absolutely wonderful views, cosy houses with hot water, as many blankets as you could be needed, very worn and friendly host.
- In winter it’s pretty cold to sleep in the house and no one speaks English.

Such a beautiful place to stay at! Highly recommend if you want and authentic experience. The nature around is beautiful, there are even elephants next door. The hosts are beyond hospitable and friendly. We had an amazing stay. Thanks so much will definitely be back!

It has a great view and the owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a coffee shop here and you can get coffee from freshly grounded beans. Their are around 4 or 5 cottages and are placed at quite a distance from each other for complete privacy. There are two lovely dogs here who are extremely friendly as well and may sleep outside or sometimes inside your cottage, but you can easily get them to leave in case you wish to. All in all, a lovely place.

รีสอร์ท ที่บรรยากาศ อลังการ มากๆ กับวิวหน้าดอยหลวงแบบเต็มๆ มีวิว ไร่นา เป็น ฉากหน้า เจ้าของสามีภรรยา ดูแล แขกเอง เน้นกันเอง ดูเหมือนว่าแทบจะทำทุกอย่างเองหมด

ส่วนที่พัก ขอหักดาวนิดนึง คือและดู ไม่มั่นคงในการจะนอนพักเท่าไหร่ แต่ก็รอดมาได้

ความสะอาดใช้ได้ เครื่องทำน้ำร้อนเป็น แก๊ส ร้านเร็วดี เพราะน้ำไม่แรง
ดึกๆ มีถ่ายดาว บนหลังคา ได้ หรือจะเลืกนอนเต๊นท์ บนทาวเวอร์ ก็ได้บรรยากาศอีกแบบ

บริการดี เป็นกันเองสุด ๆ เหมือนมานอนบ้านญาติต่างจังหวัด แถมวิวดอยหลวงเชียงดาวคือสวยมาก พอพระอาทิตย์ตก พี่เจ้าของจะมาสอนวิธีถ่ายทา้่งเผือกให้

Simply heaven down on earth.
Wonderful mountain and paddy rice field.
Very kind and nice hospitality from the staffs.

Really cool place in the middle of the ricefields and great views of Chiang Dao mountain. Chill Chiangdao is exactly as the name tells you. An ultimate chilling spot, with lovely designed huts and hangout area. The owner is really easy going and creating a relaxing vibe. I felt right at home.

บรรยากาศดีมากกก เห็นดอยหลวงเชียงดาวสวยงาม เจ้าของพี่อ้อม พี่ต้นน่ารักมาก อาหารเช้าขนมปังโฮมเมด สลัดออร์กานิก อร่อย สดชื่นมาก แถมด้วยพนักงานต้อนรับ ปู้จู้ กับคำแปง ที่รู้งานสุดๆ

อยู่กับธรรมชาติอย่างลงตัว อากาศดี ทุ่งนาสวย พี่อ้อมกับพี่ต้นต้อนรับน่ารักมากคะ ได้มาถ่ายรูปทางช้างเผือกด้วยคะ

We were attracted by some of the reviews and pictures. And sure, there is a beautiful view at the Doi Chiang Dao, we loved the view. The room is very smal, but 3 walls are windows, so much light and view.

The owners are very nice people. Because of the warmth we got a nice free Berry shake.

Whether you like the place or not is a matter of taste.

The room itself is very basic. No furniture at all, matress in the floor. Walls don't meet the ceiling, so insects have a free game. Happily there ís a mosquito net, because you really need it.

The breakfasy also is very basic. Self-serviced, we even had to fry the eggs by ourself!

The place is very secluded, which in itself is very nice. You could have a very quiet, peaceful stay, except for the music from the "restaurant" all day.

In our opinion the place is really overpriced. Half the price would be good enough for sure.

But see fo yourself:)

ทางเข้าต้องมีป้ายให้ใหญ่และชัดเจน เพราะสังเกตยาก ไม่คุ้นทางก็จะขับเลยไป ถ้ามีฝนตกจะขับรถเข้าลำบากเล็กน้อย แต่เข้าไปถึงที่พักบรรยากาศสุดยอด เจ้าของอัธยาศัยดี เป็นกันเองมากครับ มีโอกาสครั้งหน้าคงไปอีก

It is such a pleasure to wake up at Chill to the sound of birds singing, to walk out and see the magnificent mountain top come out of the mist as the sun is rising over the rice fields.

The bungalows are simple, but very comfortable, now with hot water showers. Make sure you order the mookata (table barbeque) at least one evening and chill at the bar as the sun sets.

The great hospitality of the Chill hosts makes the experience just perfect!
