I thoroughly enjoyed my beginner yoga class with Rod. He gives simple instructions and corrects postures so you learn the poses correctly and safely. He repeats the moves you learned the previous lesson, adding in more each day. This is a great way to solidify learning and I saw significant improvement in my flexibility within 5 days. Rod has a great sense of humour and the studio is welcoming. I highly recommend his studio!

I took the Reiki level 2 course with Rod and it was an incredible experience. He was so patient, experienced, and approachable. I grateful for the opportunity to have had him as my teacher.

I recently completed the level 1 reiki course with Rod at Body & Mind Healing. Thoroughly enjoyed it and learned so much from the course. Rod is an excellent trainer and mentor, his passion for life is infectious which makes working with him fun and inspiring.

I did Reiki 1 and Reiki 2. The part that I liked the most is that Rod gave this course in a realistic way. How it actually is. A very professional course. I use Reiki everyday to myself and this is the best gift I could give myself
If you have doubts to take part of the Reiki course, then just apply. You will like it.

“Came for the Yoga, returned for the Chi Kung"

If you are looking for quality Yoga instruction in Chiang Mai then Mind Body Healing is the best place to go.
I found the Beginners Yoga class an excellent choice. The instruction by Rod is very thorough and simple to follow. Rod is a great teacher, working with students from all walks of life and various skill levels. I found myself challenged each day but not overly so, i.e. No sore muscles afterwards, just loose, limber and energetic. The classes go for an hour which makes it possible for a couch potato like me to complete. I really felt better after just 1 week of instruction so I returned the following week for Chi Kung class. Again Rod is superb in his well planned lessons and explanation of the various exercises being taught. Next I enrolled in the Inner Alchemy class offered at Mind Body Healing. I learned so much more additional breathing and meditation techniques to work with channeling Chi which enhances my Chi Kung practice. Also I would be remiss if I didn't mention the fabulous juice bar onsite run by Rods lovely wife. She concocts the tastiest smoothies and fruit shakes both healthy and nutritious. They will make you smile inside. Well worth a trip over to enjoy a cool drink in the shade.

I just love starting my day with Rod’s Chi Kung (QiGong). I came to do one week, and 8 weeks later I’m still there every morning at 9. His way of teaching is brilliant. I also did his Inner Alchemy class and that was very enlightening.
What seperates Rod’s way of teaching is that he explains a lot of the relations of breath, movement, organs and body to health functions and issues. It gives a clearer image to understand your body and how to heal. Another great thing is that he has a great deal of integrity when it comes to the size of his classes and who can advance to the higher levels, he is not in it for a quick buck. And you notice that with the amount of returning people. Some keep coming for several years, and that says something in todays society.
I also have to mention the beautiful garden and juicebar his wife runs. She is so lovely and makes a really good ginger/lemon tea.

Whenever I’m in Chiang Mai, this is how I want to start my day!

Thank you Rod for helping me with my Chi!

I did 3 weeks of Chi Kung with Rod. Initially I was only going to do the intro week, but Rod is such a great teacher and both my body and mind felt better every day. Rod offers a 7 week course which I would have done had I more time in Chiang Mai. I will definitely be back. Rod and his wife Won are both lovely people. Won has a juice bar with delicious healthy smoothies and teas. As a bonus there is Lucky the dog.

I've had a couple of yoga classes, but I always felt like I was just trying to follow the lesson! I was in Chiang Mai for a month and attended various yoga schools. However, there was never the right one, since I just did I am incredibly grateful to have found Body and Mind Healing Yoga. I immediately had a good feeling when I met my teacher Rod. He is a very experienced teacher who rather values the learned reason and build up poses correctly, rather than take totally crazy positions where you do not even understand what it's all about. He brings you to your own limits to overcome them, but in a very gentle and beautiful way. He is always having fun, but remains focused and leads an incredibly great yoga class. Within my beginner course and his drop in classes, I have found a tremendous change in what my Flexibility and agility, as well as my willingness to exert! I can recommend Body and Mind Healing to everyone. Thank you so much Rod! All the best! Namaste:)

Some years ago I spent several weeks in this center to learn Chi Kung, I participated for the course "Tao for men" and also visited yoga classes. And my positive overall impression inspired me to come back this year. Lucky to see the British teacher Rod continued with the program and he did not change the concept (even prices stayed the same)! It shows how much he is interested to teach people profound base and make them aware and enable them to feel, how they do what they do. As he was always pointing out how important for life balance a balanced nutrition is with some supplements like medicinal herbs, juices and spirulina I tried in healthy bar of the Body Mind Healing school a product that is about 180 Baht for a drink. It is a mix of black rasperry from Korea, Gojii and Aminoacids. 100% natural. After only 10 minutes I felt an explosion in my body. It increased the circulation of all bodyparts. Red rush on old injuries, it releaseed pain of the muscles and tendons.a massive effect over hours making you feel better and stronger. And after You sleep better. I have no words, but the recommendation to try it! Thank You Rod and One

I couldn't recommend this place more. I did Thai chi, my girlfriend did Chi Kung and we both loved it. Very calming, very grounding but in the same time I learned a lot and whenever I am in Chiang Mai, I will be happy to come back and learn a bit more. Thank you Rod.

This was my second time here and a really great experience. Many people from different countries working at different skill levels. Rod the instructor showed great patience, especially with a disruptive individual who just chattered a lot and was unable/unwilling to follow basic instruction. I hope to return again next year.

Simply the best yoga classes in town, focusing on body and mind alike, combining Assanas and meditation, punctuated by beautiful mantras chanted by Rod.
Chi Qung classes are amazing, a unique combination of movements to prepare the body for a standing meditation that will help you build and preserve your inner energy.
I am forever grateful to have stepped into this school. Thank you Rod for all the energy and teachings you give (and all that with a great sense of humor)!

When I came for Reiki level 1 I was completely imbalanced because of the case that happened earlier, but after we practiced self healing, I left in peace feeling warm light inside me. I also did Reiki level 2 and it was beautiful experience. I realized that I got this precious knowledge for a reason and I will definitely use and practice Reiki. I thank Rod for his patience, he is always willing to explain one more time if something is not clear. I wish I had more time to be able to attend ChiGong class. May be some day I will. Thank you

The Qi Gong instruction at Body & Mind Healing School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, is a wonderful combination of warm-up movements, traditional Chinese healing postures and practices, and standing meditation poses. The instructor - Rod - is a lively and energetic communicator who can nonetheless guide each class to a place of shared stillness and tranquility when the class session arrives at that point. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Took a 1 hour private lesson because it was my first time doing yoga and it was great! Rod took his time to explain everything and was thorough in making sure I was doing every position correctly. Great experience and I hope to be back to chiang mai soon!
