Wine Depot

A lovely little find just opposite the Marriott Marquis Hotel. A little French Bistro style restaurant. What stands out is the extremely friendly service. They made us feel really welcome and looked after us super well all evening. They have a really good wine selection at reasonable prices and we ended up having dinner there as well, which was nice, if not exceptional. All in all, I am looking forward to coming back to this little marvel soon.

From the appearance, this looks interesting but unfortunately I didn’t choose to take dinner at this restaurant. It might be good especially for wine lover.

We went to the Wein Depot because my partner likes to drink wine.
This one obviously tasted good.
As a self-confessed beer drinker, I was happy that wheat beer was on offer.
However, if you offer wheat beer in 0.5 l bottles, you should also have appropriate glasses and not just 0.3 l glasses.
However, overall it was a pleasant stay.
However, we rejected a new visit for food due to various reviews.

Update:
We were there on November 21st.again at the Wine Depot. Half a liter of Hefeweizen beer is still served with 0.3 liter glasses.
To my partner's chagrin, the wine suggested by the staff was definitely dry and not sweet as requested.
That was definitely our last visit.

Great wine selection, we tried the Merlot and Shiraz but in the end stayed with the all time taste-favorite; Cabernet Sauvignon. Large terrace well protected against the rain. We had some food too but the wine was our main goal and that was splendid. One rose scored a bit underwhelming but you can't have them all, and one thing I noticed is ones taste differs from for example being in Europe. Likely due to the food one eats and the weather.

A really nice spot to watch the world go by. Good happy-hour prices, specials on food that regularly change and an excellent menu in general which is beautifully cooked and well presented.

The place is very average, or ever less. Completely difficult to communicate with waiters and the reason is very low level of English. Only few draft beers and not really good quality. May be situation with wine is better, but i didn't try. Food is not tasty and i think, that is ridiculous parody to European style. Suppose, that much better to serve well known excellent Thai food. Only one benefit is location. That is it. Around you may found a lot of good and much cheap restaurants with best food. Definitely not recommend to visit.

Unfortunately they should train their staff better.

Kind of sports bar directly across Marriott Hotel. Nice to hang around and convenient as hotel just across the road.

Good service and friendly staff. We were here on Christmas Eve and it was quite packed. Despite this, the staff were very attentive and all our orders were not delayed. Also, the interior seemed very cozy as well.

Eaten here twcie now because of proximity to hotel and an achilees in jury, plus of course good food and drink. First time was a chicken cesear salad, crisp, lots of parmesan. Second time I had the Thai chicken cashew nuts, very decent indeed.

Nice place on Soi 22. Not much selection of beers, but the ones they had were quite nice.then again, this is a wine place and not a beer place

Great place. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and professional. Service is good. Good selection on the menus. Nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit

Welcome atmosphere, diverse menu, delicious cocktails, wide wine menu! Enjoyed every moment there. Very friendly personnel.

เป็นประสบการณ์ที่แย่มากในการมาทานอาหาร สั่งเอาหารมา2 รายการ เป็น Pizza Paneer กับ Seabass Ratatouille ปลามีกลิ่นเหม็น พอแจ้งกับผู้จัดการร้าน ผู้จัดการเป็นคนต่างชาติ ก็พูดว่า อาหารของทางร้านสด พึ่งเข้ามาวันพฤหัสบดี คือ 4 วันที่แล้ว และบอกว่าเรามีปัญหากับการกินไม่ใช่ทางร้าน เพราะอาหารประเทศไทยคุณภาพแบบนี้ ไม่เหมือนต่างประเทศ ซึ่งเราก็เป็นคนไทย ทานอาหารมาหลายที่ เรารู้ว่ารสชาติอาหารสดหรือไม่สดเป็นยังไง ไม่เคยเจอผู้จักการพูดจาแย่ มารยาทแย่ขนาดนี้ ไม่มีการขอโทษ และพูดจาแย่มาก เราไม่ได้มีปัญหาในการจ่ายเงิน ไม่ได้จะมากินฟรี แต่อาหารของทางร้านมีกลิ่นเหม็น ซึ่งเรามากัน 2 คน ก็รู้สึกเหมือนกัน คือ ต้องคายทิ้ง

Drinks were okay but it’s a corkage charge at THB 500 for each bottle of wine when dining in. So one time here should be enough.
ค่อนข้างประหลาดใจอย่างมากที่ทางร้านมีเก็บค่าเปิดไวน์ ขวดละ 500 บาท ทั้งๆที่ไวน์ พวกเราก็สั่งจากร้าน ไม่ได้นำมาจากข้างนอก เป็นประสบการณ์ครั้งแรกเรื่องการเรียกเก็บค่าเปิดขวด

Order popiah from the menu. Presentation was acceptable but it was a little cold inside and there is lots of oil with each bite into it. I reckon it wasn't fully defrosted and the oil wasn't hot enough when it was fried.

Lovely place for wide good wine selection and super french host. Basic but solid menu. Must go (hush hush).

Never been deceived since their opening, casual place with great selection of fine, nice food selection and quality along very friendly and quality service.
