Wat Traimit Withayaram Worawihan (Golden Buddha)

Quaint little Wat very opposite the gate to China Town. The 5' Gold Buddha is a sight to behold!

The entrance fee is 100 bat. It is recommended to wear knee length pants, otherwise you will have to rent from the ticket office (after returning the towel, the money will be refunded). The main temple is elaborately built, especially the ceiling is very delicate. Except for the golden Buddha statue, nothing special.

Wat Traimit, a solid gold Buddha of great beauty. In order not to be destroyed by the Burmese, they covered it with plaster and on one occasion it fell when it was discovered. The place is very well cared for. It is a must in Bangkok.

Fantastic place, i have been at this tempel many times, but this is the first time I visited with my thai wife. It's really good to just sit down and thinking of your life and how Fantastic it is.

Pretty temple. You can walk up the stairs and down again without paying.

We aren't Buddhists, so we feel it's inappropriate for us to go inside of a temple. But we do appreciate it's fine architecture.

It was a little busy around 9.30 but there was no line to go up the stairs.

There are 2 golden Buddha statues to be seen here. The entry is 40 thb, increasing to 100thb in jan 2023. There's a small shop that has reasonably priced items/ souvenirs from Thailand. Probably spend around 30 minutes.

Nice Temple, very well maintained. You're also allowed to click photos but no videos. I liked the area. We took a MTR (underground metro) to this place from Sukhiwit.

Very nice place visited 1st time but it gives a lots of happiness to soul when u vsiit this and huge place for photography tooo.

Very beautiful temple to visit and right beside Chinatown if you are an adept of street food

Thailand has many gleaming temples and revered Buddha images. But did you know the Land of Smiles is home to the biggest Buddha made from solid gold in the world? And, the statue has a fascinating history!

Visit Bangkok’s temple of Wat Traimit and you’ll find a seated, cross-legged Buddha statue known as Phra Phuttha Maha Suwana Patimakon. Unlike many Buddha images, which are gilded, this statue is made from pure gold. Standing at 3.91 metres tall and 3.01 metres wide, it is the world’s biggest solid gold Buddha statue. It weighs a staggering five and a half tons!

The golden image perhaps looks like many other statues of the Lord Buddha, but it becomes even more interesting when you learn about the statue’s incredible history.

Amazing buddha temple.for visitors from India it will resemble one of their temples back in india. The diety is Buddha along with brahma and sometimes Ganesha. There are shops around d temple like in india. And shoes and improper dressing prohibited inside the sanatorium. The buddha is priceless

เป็นวัดที่ไปมาแล้วหลายครั้งมาก แต่ก็ชอบทุกครั้งที่ไป วิหารและพระพุทธรูปทองคำสวยงามมาก อีกอย่างใกล้ๆวัดไตรมิตรยังมีที่เที่ยวอีกหลายที่ เพื่อนๆมาแล้วไม่ผิดหวังแน่นอนครับ

เสียดายจัง ตั้งใจจะไปไหว้หลวงพ่อทองคำ เปิดวันที่ 1 ธันวา แต่ไม่เสียเที่ยว ไหว้ขอพร ซุ้มประตูเฉลิมพระเกียรติ มงคลแก่ตนเอง
