Wat Phra Chetuphon (Wat Pho - Temple of the Reclining Buddha) reviews
35 The golden reclining Buddha statue is very beautiful and large
There is a pretty good performance of dropping coins into 108 bowls that symbolize luck and blessings.
Each Buddhist temple in Bangkok is unique.
This goes beyond the incredible Reclining Buddha statue.
We visited the temple 1h e 30 minutes before closure so, unfortunately, we were not able to have a massage. The positive is that it was not crowded and the visit was more enjoyable.
Just seeing the reclining Buddha statue is a great experience, and there are many places to take pictures.
Inside is the largest reclining Buddha statue in Bangkok, with colossal dimensions of 46 meters long and 15 meters high.
Also within the enclosure there are four chedies or stupas, 42 meters high, decorated with porcelain and vessels forming a mosaic.
This facility is where the traditional Thai massage school is located.
It is adjacent to the Royal Palace of Bangkok.
200 baht per person. For ladies, no shoulders, knees or legs can be seen.the reclining buddha is huge. Her garden is also beautiful.
Magnificent and cool. The grandeur of another Buddhist temple.
Be sure to visit. The entrance fee is 200 baht in cash.
Nice little dinks can outside, great foodhall, Boost drinks and salad bar. Eat out or take out. Wine/alcohol shop, to take out, is reasonable price for area. Some of the less expensive Thai wine is good value.
The lying Buddha what a spectacular piece of architecture. In and around the area including the royal palace is 60 acres in size omg. Other smaller rooms with many statues of the Buddas era. Lots of history backing to 1800’s. Must place to visit weekday was quiet. Was getting busier later as we left for the mall.
The vibe is extremely positive here and it’s a must visit place as this is one of the tourist attraction. This place is maintained well and is neat. There’s a separate place to offer prayers and to burn incense sticks. Burn incense sticks only in the dedicated area allotted.
If you are buying a small Lord Buddha statue, do not place it down as this is considered disrespectful and please maintain dress code here as you will be asked to otherwise no entry into the temple.
If wearing clothing which has Buddha print on it then the entry into the temple is barred.
Please dress appropriately.
วัดเก่าแก่ของกรุงเทพ มีความสำคัญในฐานเป็นที่รวบรวมองค์ความรู้สำคัญที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของการแพทย์แผนไทยอย่างนวดไทย
We arrived at the entrance gate after walking in circles for 15 minutes because all entrances are closed except one, only to have the security yell at us and kick us out, because even though the signboards outside say it closes at 6: 30, it apparently closes at 5. So I guess if you're expecting a peaceful temple atmosphere, this is not it.
We tried to access the Wat Pho twice the first time taxi driver drove us to the side entrance, where all the tuk tuk ppl were standing. They told us it is closed and they will drive us on tuk tuk around city for 40 bts. So we went with they, we visited another budha temple and they went to shop with tailored suits and shirts, my husband ordered 3 shirts, payed 6000 bts and it was delived the next day. Then we went to Wat pho the next day, the tuk tuk deivers AGAIN try to persuade us to take a ride, but we walked around the temple to finally find a right entrance.be aware somethimes what thai ppl tell tourits its far from the truth.
Loved visiting here, temple buddha, carvings and architecture was fantastic.a must for anyone travelling to or through BKk. Was a plus having practically zero tourists so was easy to move around and great photos taken
Admission for foreigner 200THB, Thai for free.open from 06: 00 hrs to 18: 00 hrs.
Newly renovated and restore.
New installed yoga stature for study traditional Thai massage and Thai herbal.
I am amazed by this Buddha statue. When I came to Thailand, visiting this temple is the same as visiting a place of worship, tolerance is a lesson! You have to take your shoes off and you can pray with the rituals that have been provided, even if you pray for the sake of goodness, because all religions teach goodness.

Temple ran by monkeys.
Ask tax payers to pay as foreigner tourists. Rampant racism and discrimination, while being funded with public money.
Welcome to Thailand, where you can both claim to be Buddha, and practice disgusting behaviors openly.
Foreigners, just look the pics online, seriously, it's the same.
Locals, stop supporting this kind of behaviors.
