Varadis Palace

A palace filled with memories of King Rama VII and his queen.
It's not flashy, with mainly photographs and memorabilia, but it's a nice and quiet place.

วังวรดิศ เป็นวังที่ประทับของสมเด็จพระเจ้าบรมวงศ์เธอ กรมพระยาดำรงราชานุภาพ ตั้งอยู่บนถนนหลานหลวง และถนนดำรงค์รักษ์ ใกล้ตลาดสะพานขาว ปัจจุบันใช้จัดแสดงเป็น พิพิธภัณฑ์และหอสมุด สมเด็จพระเจ้าบรมวงศ์เธอ กรมพระยาดำรงราชานุภาพ วังวรดิศ สร้างขึ้นเมื่อ พ. ศ. 2454

Impossible to gain access with the guard only signaling crossed arms meaning "closed". Relevant website doesn't work and can't find any links to anyone to ask permission to enter.

The gate was closed during working hours. Nobody in the surrounding area know how to get in.

I would have given more stars, but there are no signs in English, no bicycles/facilities, and no electric vehicles, and only 5 stars maximum.

Thank you for visiting here. It was such a good moment visiting the father of Thai history's home. The palace is small but contain many historical moment.

ตอนเด็กๆเคยวิ่งเข้าไปเล่นในวังกับกลุ่มเพื่อนๆสมัยนั้นด้วยกันบ่อยๆประตูวังเปิดทิ้งใว้เสมอสมัยก่อนมีต้นไม้ใหญ่และต้นไผ่ปลูกตรงหน้าทางเข้าวังเล่นส่งเสียงดังแบบเด็กๆเข้าไปถึงตำหนักเจ้านายท่านก็ไม่ได้มาไล่มาว่าอะไรเลยคิดถึงสมัยก่อนอยากย้อนเวลากลับไปอีก
